The only reason why some people walk away is because they don't think its the actual child from the poster. Its because hes sitting too close to it so it doesn't make sense the child would have seen his own poster by that point and would have taken action.
+Lala Loopsy leme call him more than trash cause people thinking some homeless or some kind poor ppl need help are trash but they are not . they are same as us just they have different experiment god make us as same way so thinking about it

Gab Nelo Chill? I'm happy. Everyone in the comments is complaining about the people who walked passed him, and I'm happy that people actually did try. Try again ^_^"
I totally disagree with this video - A "missing" child sitting in a park that has signs about a missing child, the flyer has a phone number on it. The child on the bench could just ask anyone to call the number on the flyer is he was really in any trouble and majority of people wouldnt think the missing child is sitting right next to signs that he is missing. This "social experiment" is very poorly done. I dont blame any of those people for not recognising the child as the one on the flyer
This is just stupid. Are we supposed to feel bad for not being hyper-observant of our surroundings at all times? It's not like people recognized the kid from the posters and consciously opted out of doing something, they just didn't notice him. Hell, the kid had his face down and hidden half the damn time. "Kid sitting on bench in park" isn't exactly a rare situation, and it's stupid to expect anyone to think twice about it.
Whenever i see a poster of a missing animal i always pay more attention to my surroundings and everybody should and this was about a frickin child people seeing that poster should totally pay attention to the children they come across.
Elias Leidö But the child is sitting between 7 posters (from what the video said). This would never happen because the child would see the poster on his way to sitting down at the bench. If he was really worried, he would have stood by the poster or asked someone for help. This video shouldn't be breaking hearts or making you cry. It's ridiculous.
cant really blame the people. I wouldn't remember the child face after a couple seconds of seeing the picture and wouldnt expect him to be sitting right there.
I was left alone in a car for an hour...I was only 2 and everyone would hear me cry but only one person came... it was this 12 year old boy who kept asking everyone that was walking if they knew me... and each person shook their head and kept it moving so he told the police.. and they got me out
The way I see it, it isn't about recognition, it is that a lot of people are afraid to get involved. I mean, even if you did not recognize the kid, would you still ask him if everything was ok?
I believe it is that people don't want to waste their time or believe they have much other things more important to them. But people like them have no heart
We all have things to do that are important to us, but when it is something like this, we should push those things we need to do aside. And yes, they simply have no heart for ignoring a kid.
well if it was me i'll know that it's him 60% because it's like the posters where there so he might be so far i mean seriously the guy who puts th eposters he might be blind or something
A tv show in America did something like this where they had a bunch of girls and boys sit on the street corner and cry while people passed. Most people who passed either assumed their parents were near, didn't even notice the kids as they were too busy with other stuff, or were afraid to get involved for fear of being blamed.
KittyNakafima true kids be left alone all the time. However with that many exposed lost children posters surrounding the lost child, something should have clicked. I mean they looked at the poster and looked at the kid. I personally would have been on my phone and wouldn't have even seen the poster.
When I was young, I saw a kid who looked freezing cold and sad. My parents didn't see them but I did and I didn't understand what was going on. As I grew older, I remembers that day when I saw him and thought that maybe he was lost or something. I feel crap that I didn't do anything.
I moved to US for a while now... and from what I seen and heard so far..... NOBODY gives a damn here.... and that's really SAD! A guy held a sign that says, "Help The Poor", and NOBODY gives a damn, not even the Policemen... And later on, the guy held another sign that says, "Fuck The Poor", and suddenly EVERYBODY gives a damn, and the same Policemen arrested the man for holding a sign that says, "Fuck The Poor"!?!? And that was happening in NYC..... and that's really messed up, and sad.. and most of all, really disappointed in this country that I moved to (United States)!!!! :/
I have some thoughts on what happened in the video. I made this post for the people wondering why fewer people actually stopped. The thing is, people who see these posters don't expect to run into the person that is missing, and so they're not actively searching. I mean, what are the chances of you actually spotting someone that's missing? and especially that quickly. I've seen quite a few missing posters myself, and I'm gonna be honest, I've never found someone, nor do I expect to, and the pictures are usually forgotten moments after I've seen them. Besides that, like some of my friends, I'm not really good with faces. To put it simply, humans tend to miss a lot of things that are literally right in front of us. Sometimes, we can mistake someone for someone else, and with his head down like that, I'm guessing it was a lot harder to figure out if that was him or not. I mean, there were other kids playing in the park. Besides that, what's usually written on a poster is "what the person was last seen wearing" or "where they were last seen at", and the poster didn't have that information on it. You could argue that the posters were all over the park, and so that should have been an indicator, but what you should realize too is that when people post up posters, they stick them everywhere. Literally all over the place. Another reason is that some people don't really know what to do, simply because they've never had to deal with a situation like that, and so they will just continue walking. But believe it or not, it WILL bug them. On WWYD, when asked why people didn't help, it was because they didn't know how to react, and they did say that it bothered them afterwards, and regret the decision. And they also said that they had hoped that someone else would stop instead. Case in point, when I was working as a caregiver, I was getting ready for bed when the old man downstairs accidentally fell, bumped his head on a drawer, and was bleeding profusely. The entire family froze, and didn't know what to do, and I was the only one to react. I had to take control of the situation because no one else would, and direct people to help. That rings true for real life as well. (you're taught that in CPR/AED/First Aid) This is stemming from the fact that I work with kids on a daily basis, but it didn't seem like the kid was in any distress. It looked more like he just got scolded or he had an argument with someone. Most kids would be crying and panicking and wandering around. And some would be going around asking people, "can you help me find my mommy/daddy?" I did the former when I got lost at Walmart as a kid, and it didn't take long for people to notice. As an example, When they had the kids do that on "What Would You Do?", more people responded. Though it probably doesn't apply here, I'm gonna add this anyway. It also depends on the location. If a kid were to be missing in a busy city street, like in the U.S., specifically New York, it might be awhile before someone takes notice. That's just how it is. People are so busy with their lives and what they are doing that they don't notice when someone needs their help, it's just not a common occurrence, and I think that's what this video was trying to illustrate. Awareness. And other times, it's a culture thing as well. I'll give you a great example, which is eerily similar to this, was while I was at a park doing fitness training, a kid that was no longer playing on the jungle gym LOOKED lost, and he was crying. I took a seat on a bench with him (trying not to move him) and quickly called 911, but his mother came like 15 -20 min. later (faster than the police). Apparently his brother was supposed to wait with him, but left instead. It was a little difficult for me to get information besides his name, because he only spoke Spanish. I think one thing I can't make clear is why most didn't bother to ask him why he's alone, regardless of whether or not there's a poster of him missing, because kids really shouldn't be alone and unsupervised. In fact, there was no one else in sight. He could have gotten kidnapped, and that would have played heavily on someone's conscience if they found that out later on. I hope this cleared up some things... these people aren't terrible people, they weren't purposefully ignoring him, wanting a reward, not wanting to get involved, worried that they could get into trouble for talking to someone else's kid, or felt like it wasn't their problem or business (at least I hope not!!!). I think either the intended effect just wasn't strong or convincing enough to make them want to stop, or it played out exactly how most people would react. After watching this video, a lot of people will most likely say that they would have never made that decision, but you never know unless you're really dropped into that tense situation yourself, and a good majority of people, especially those in the real world, would have probably reacted the same way. For those that would stop, show concern asking him if he's okay, and would regardless, bless you. You're one in a million that would make a huge difference in someone's life.
Can I just point out that context is very important in recognising someone. People who may've had suspicions about the missing child would've thought 'there is no way that the missing kid could be 20ft away from the missing kid poster'
If i saw someone trying to hurt a dog id punch them If i saw another kid my age sitting alone at a park i whould wait with him and if nobody came id call 911 with my phone
Read the description, they said that they filmed 144 people, and I'm guessing that they showed all the people who stopped to help. Around 5-6 people stopped him (couples/ friends counting as one), therefore hardly anyone actually helped.
Watching this... from the perspective of a primaryschool-teacher, a sister of a younger brother and a (hopefully) future-mother, really breaks my heart apart.
I wouldn't help the kid because a) His face is down so I wouldn't even recognize him b) It seems like a prank just because he is few feet away from two posts which I don't think he wasn't be able to read himself and just ask someone for a phone c) He is in the exact same place where the posts are so I'd think he choose no to go back for a reason.
what if he just arrived at the park? doesn't he WANT to be found? and I would ask a child a little question if he was sitting there alone on a bench with nobody around him.
Windmill, windmill for the land. Turned forever hand in hand Take it all in on your stride It is ticking, falling down Love forever love is free Let's turn forever you and me Windmill, windmill for the land Is everybody in?
Whenever I see social experiments I cry because I imagine if something were actually happening like that (which they do) and it makes me cry to know that a lot of people wouldn't help or notice and it makes me feel incredibly bad for people that it is actually happening to. Then I cry more because I love my family so so much and I don't express it as much as I feel I should
idk why but, this video still made me cry even though I knew he wasn't lost. Maybe it was because of the number of people who saw the posters and saw the missing kid which they knew was him, and just walked off.
You don't expect the missing kid to be sitting in the middle of 50 posters 'cause that's stupid and wouldn't happen, you see a few think it might be him but keep walking and this is why. This experiment is not accurate.
I have been watching these on my iPod for a while now and some make me cry but this one made me cry more. I was missing once when I was about 7 or 8 (think it was 7). Only a hour (maybe 1 and a half) but I was on a holiday. I didn't know the area at all and we were at the shops, I obviously got distracted as my mother and brother (Who I was with at the time) walked somewhere else. Not able to find my mother I just walked round a while in a panic then started crying. Not one person helped me or at least tried! A policeman/policewomen were with my mother and brother and saw me against a wall crying. So it kind of disgusts me when people realize something is wrong but take no notice
skldezigns I can't remember if it was a man or women, is that a crime? and why the hell would I make up a story like that? people CAN get lost you know.
It disgusts me that the people have no shit. 96% walked by the kid without looking at him, while they know this is the lost kid. In addition, your story is really possible. Idiots say its a made story. How and why would you make up a story like that? WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME DOWN TO????????
It's not about ignoring a child , but I wouldn't walk around talking to every child who's alone ! I mean , people these days take every single move as a sexual harassment! Even if you wanna help, you can't be sure that you're not going to be misunderstood.. It sucks !
Angry birds. You more than likely like most people had your mind on somebody else you can't say you would have helped that child if you was is that situation.
You know what's scary? At 2:41 where the two gentlemen try to help him, another scenario could easily happen where they kidnap and rape him and that scenario probably happens a lot more than what actually happened in this video. Also, what's dangerous about doing these kinds of videos is the boy who cried wolf effect. When the people who tried to help him were told its a prank or when people watching this video see this prank, it might make them less likely to help in a real world scenario when someone is genuinely in trouble because they think someone's just doing a prank.
I think of it as more of a social experiment than a prank per say, if this happened to me I'd look at it as an eye opener, more than being disgruntled in the future.
Once I was out by 6 am taking photos in my local town for a work. I was passing by a bridge and I saw a young kid up there looking down on his bike, against the sun. He wasn't looking at me - he had seen me but then turned away - but I found it was a cool shot and I took the picture anyways, then I proceeded to the train tracks under the bridge to take some more shots before going home. While I was there on the train tracks I heard screaming coming from the bridge. To be fair I was kind of a coward because I simply ignored them and I stood there as the kid in the bike and another kid were running away from the train station (after all in the logical side I had a DSLR so chasing them and/or being chased had an unnecessary high risk involved). Anyways after the kids ran away I went to the bridge and saw an old woman crying. She told me the kid with the bike was waiting for her and blocking her passage, then his friend came from behind, pushed her to the ground, took her wallet, and both ran. I went with her to the police station and gave them the photo I had taken. For several months I received text messages from anonymous numbers with death threats. The story started going around town and when I knew it I had people I didn't know coming up to me in coffees and saying that if anything happened they would be there to protect me. The police never informed me on what happened next, I simply gave them the photo, they thanked me, and life goes on. The point is don't be afraid to help. Humanity (thankfully) is still able to recognize good acts, and if you believe that you will get rewarded for them (and most likely you will), fear dissapears. Also, if you end up being beaten or something, at least people will remember that as suffering for a good cause. There are much worse ways to be remembered. And also may this serve as a warning: be wary of people blocking your passage with bikes, especially if there aren't many people around. P.S. I hope people don't get encouraged to go take photos on train tracks after this post. I did, but I'm a local and I know that in this town the main lanes are closed from 2 to 8 am, and also there was a train stopped there to spend the night, so I knew for sure that there would be no trains coming in or out for another 2 hours.
R Hirshi Come one, come all! Welcome to the CZcams Fair! I have with me something particularly rare in this massive world of the internet; a case of epicaricacy! For those who don't know, this is a person who enjoys seeing other people in a state of misery. Do not confuse them with a sadist, as sadists enjoy inflicting actual pain, rather than basking in misery. This kind of person is one of the lowest animals on the theoretical CZcams food chain, and shouldn't be dealt with in any other fashion then ignoring their pleas for attention. Now if you follow me this way, you'll see the Grammar Nazi!
Poor woman some kids are evil, I would try to catch them and if I did then I would kick them in the privates get the purse and give it to the woman, then try to make the kids apologise or if they dont I would call the police
This isn't the best social experiment... The people who didnt help obviously didn't noticed the posters or see his face. Half the time the kid's face is down, and you can only see his head. Also, alot of the time pieces of paper on tree's and walls etc. are just advertisement for local companies and circuses.
Thats how is it in real life tho. Most of the time the target doesn't even look anything close to what the photo looks like anymore. The photos are usually months if not years old. The target by then could have a different hair style, their skin tone is different from over exposure or lack of exposure to the sun, they are wearing clothing that obscures most of their physical features etc.
All those people looked backed at the kid sitting on the bench. Even if they didn't "notice" the kid they could have at least tried to go and look at the kids face before they walk away.
I can't actually fathom those that stopped to read the 'Missing' sign, and then walked right on past nonetheless - that's disgusting, how could you neglect a lost child?! (Great prank, very eye-opening.)
Izzy Lily A When they read that poster they probably forgot about it 10 seconds later. Do you keep the thought of some random lost kid in your head for any longer than a few seconds? Stop judging people for things that don't define anyone.
Stop the CPSC What the hell is wrong with you? Yes i remember those pictures. For animals and people alike. Ignoring someone who is obviously troubled and who's damn picture you saw mere seconds ago does define you and anyone.
Your making a big difference in doing these social experiments it touchs my heart I would get pissed if people do not help out due to the fact they don't want to get involved....Help out one another rather than minding your own business because people need your help...you may never know if you don't ask.....
in their defense the kid had his head down, and his posters with phone numbers on them were like 10 feet away if he couldn't help himself after all that do we need him in the world, he's what you'd call a in the way person.
Not a very good experiment. First of all most of the people that passed by the little boy couldn't even see his face. And you wouldn't just go up to a kid and try to look at him for ages so you could try and recognise him from the photos on the posters. Second of all people don't really remember faces of people in photos that they looked at for a few seconds if they have never met the person in real life. Photos usually look very different to the person in real life except passport or ID photos. I'm surprised that many people recognised the boy.
skldezigns Jeez, you have problems don't you? Ever heard of democracy? I'm not trying to justify anything. I'm just being objective. Ofcourse I would help a little kid if he/she was lost. Being lost is a horrible feeling especially for a child. But this wasn't a good experiment. It wasn't an eye opener. These people weren't bad people who didn't want to help. They just didn't recognise the kid.
skldezigns are a idiot or something? what his trying to say is true and not just that, if you think about it, the poster is just around the boy just in that area not where else and that to me sounds like a really really obvious trap. Now what I'm saying is bullshit? Try and go to my country Philippines and lets see how long will it take for you to be abducted. Let me remind you that the world is not a gentle place and that even a child can harm you as an adult.
Putting up that many posters and writing "possibly in danger" will make your brain exclude the boy on the bench as the boy on the posters since this does not match the description... He's also looking down at the ground which makes his face hard to see, I don't think you guys should expect any other result than this...
Well I don't know you guys. Yes, some people passed by while others took the initiative to stop. However, it's not right to judge the people who kept on walking by. Like, would you honestly and truly stop to help the child say if you were walking home from school? Just imagine yourself walking through a park relatively filled with people and seeing kid alone on a bench. If you were put into that situation then I'd understand where you're coming from. But if you were never put in that situation, yet judge those in this video, I'm sorry but it's that's wrong. And judging by how this video impacts most of you guys emotionally, I'm guessing you would all step up to the plate and take initiative to help not only a kid, but anyone in need. I hope that's true. Then again, this experiment seemed to have been poorly executed so I don't blame the people who walked by because they may have not been able to see his face.
Yeah gotta agree with you. With a lot of these social experiments people always react 'omg these people aren't human' and things like that (in some cases this is might be true). But in many cases these commenters probably wouldn't react to the experiment either. It's easy to judge when you're behind the computerscreen.
xMyPointlessChannelx That is not the point of the video. If people get angry by watching this it is their own ignorance by not accepting the situation without any prejudices. The video doesn't judge the individuals at all, but the majority. How sad it is, the purpose of the video is correct and right. The way people react to it is their own stupidity, which you can't change anyway. Most people would react like 80% of the video.
Andrea Pampuan than you should have said it about that video. If you state things that dont comply its makes it seem like you are an idiot. Which you are
***** i don't understand how this is a sad video? the song is sad, Maybe you were mistaking the video as the sad part when in fact the song is the sad part
This makes me sad because it shows us how much people have evolved into becoming more interested into what they're doing like if they are texting or busy doing their own stuff, instead of noticing lost children or homeless people. I'm happy that some people actually noticed the child and tried to help, these kind of things are heartwarming.
this is really sad and cool and a little happy. happy because some people noticed as well as i know that cristean wasnt really lost, but sad that a lot of people wither ignored him or just didnt realize it was him
Although the odds of a missing person being within 30 feet of several missing posters with their face on it are slim to none, I think it's sad to see how many people didn't notice what could've been an ACTUAL missing child. We live in some scary times..
my mom helped 4 missing children like without posters or anything just by looking at them , she would go straight ahead help them when i was a kid that was a life lesson for me love you mom R.I.P
Great experiment. Missing children often don't make eye contact. They are too scared. This is a good example of how much more we need to use our instinct. Sometimes just reading a child's body language can tell you they are in trouble. Recognizing who they are comes second. *Gather your courage.* *Save the child.* Worry about the rest later. There's a Hero in all of you reading this. Just be it.
in my opinion it might have worked better if the child wasn't sitting around all the posters, ppl may have just thought that it couldn't be him due to that fact.
Some of the people who couldn't spot the kid can't be blamed. There are so many other psychological factors other than just being "busy" to account for that are missing in this "experiment." Good try, but this doesn't show the reality of it.
Hey!!! The kid is like 7 years old!!! He cant do everything on his own!! Be aware of your surrounding when you walk in the streets your not the only one there!!
The only reason why some people walk away is because they don't think its the actual child from the poster. Its because hes sitting too close to it so it doesn't make sense the child would have seen his own poster by that point and would have taken action.
THANK YOU
Kermit F This. And most kids look sort of the same. I'd probably fail. I can't recognize faces at all.
And not only that he's not saying a word
This experiment had a good concept it was just poorly executed.
Kermit F like the movie chappie
THE PEOPLE WHO LOOK AT THE POSTER THEN STARE RIGHT AT THE KID AND DO NOTHING MAKE ME SO MAD !!

+Lala Loopsy leme call him more than trash cause people thinking some homeless or some kind poor ppl need help are trash but they are not . they are same as us just they have different experiment god make us as same way so thinking about it

+skynzoeyes RRL ?? I agree with what you said. But all Lala Loopsy did with agree with the comment before. No need to be so defensive.
Thanks u are so right ur also a good influence on children. :)
Even if you didn't notice the sign why wouldn't you be concerned that a child is alone in a park?
I was thinking that at the beginning

I'm not focusing on the idiots who walked past him, I'm just glad to see the kind hearts that actually stopped over and tried to help him.
Faith in humanity (partially) restored.
His head was down. I probably wouldn't have noticed either. You probably wouldn't notice either. Chill. :)
Gab Nelo Chill? I'm happy. Everyone in the comments is complaining about the people who walked passed him, and I'm happy that people actually did try. Try again ^_^"
Okay, I'm wrong to have used the word "chill"
But my point still stands. :)
Gab Nelo I understand what you're saying but it has almost nothing to do with what I said. Maybe you read it wrong? ^~^
sorry :)
These kinds of stories make me lose faith in humanity
I hate that those people just look at him and walk away! :(
I wouldn't notice him cus his face was down if it was up I will notice him but I'm just 0 XD
I hate people who look back but keep walking
I was thinking the same thing!
Same opinion. Its not really rare to see a kid sitting in a park. I guess I would also don't notice him
Well people are different: many are more aware of their surroundings while others are not. What you call hyper-observant I call just observant.
They probably wouldve noticed him if he looked up more than he looked down...
+Yellow Lol no because he would be sad so he looks down they have to pay attention
But if u were a missing child left like that would u be looking up or would u be upset looking down
Olivia Perez I would be looking up trying to ask people for a phone so I can contact my parents. Or call them on my phone, simple.
exactly
+NightcoreNinja just shut up
cant really blame the people. I wouldn't remember the child face after a couple seconds of seeing the picture and wouldnt expect him to be sitting right there.
I wouldn't be able to recognize a missing person even if I just looked at a picture and they'd stare me in the face. My memory is terrible
I would take a sign down and look for him
A

I thought "surely this kid could see the poster and go ask for help" but if he has disabilities then the scenario in this video is very possible.
I once was a missing child and nobody gave a fuck but a wild dog....
I adopted him.
MollyMoll Hugs x
MollyMoll cool cool so you were missing for 4 hours and you saw a cute dog so you adopted it.
Not sure to like or something wow... You still have him?
I'm sry that must of been horrible
I would ask and get involved if I thought it was him.
well if it was me i'll know that it's him 60% because it's like the posters where there so he might be so far i mean seriously the guy who puts th eposters he might be blind or something
A tv show in America did something like this where they had a bunch of girls and boys sit on the street corner and cry while people passed. Most people who passed either assumed their parents were near, didn't even notice the kids as they were too busy with other stuff, or were afraid to get involved for fear of being blamed.

A little kid sitting by himself should raise some red flags even without there being missing posters around.

true kids be left alone all the time. However with that many exposed lost children posters surrounding the lost child, something should have clicked. I mean they looked at the poster and looked at the kid. I personally would have been on my phone and wouldn't have even seen the poster.
If I saw a missing child, I would help him/her and call the police so they can be returned to their family.
Me too
never just pass by a child by them self and keep walking always always always stop to help someone who is lost
Would you do for real? Some people say they would do it but didn't at all
When I was young, I saw a kid who looked freezing cold and sad. My parents didn't see them but I did and I didn't understand what was going on. As I grew older, I remembers that day when I saw him and thought that maybe he was lost or something. I feel crap that I didn't do anything.
If the boy was lost then hopefully he reunited with his family by now.
Sophia Conwell I disagree people need help older than three is well son may be disabled
PaiN - Agario he wasn't lost it was a social experiment of cause he would has went 2 his family not 2 b mean
but would the same happen if the poster said there was a $1000 reward for information?
***** exactly. This could've been such an effective video but there are so many flaws
***** Not really. It's still concerning to see a child in the park alone, especially when he looks that slumped/saddened
....10000000 children in police department...
US is also known for bombing poor countries just because they are Muslims and they call it protecting the country
Sharktic Gaming
That's just SAD about US... >.>
No wonder people wanted to bomb US... -_-
I know right its pretty sad. Those 3rd world countries dont even have water to drink.
Sharktic Gaming
California barely have water to do anything though... XD
Hehe
The people that just passed by him made me cry and that broke my heart!!😢💔💔💔
Me 2
I have some thoughts on what happened in the video.
(you're taught that in CPR/AED/First Aid)
This is stemming from the fact that I work with kids on a daily basis, but it didn't seem like the kid was in any distress.
You're one in a million that would make a huge difference in someone's life.
it's okay, little keyboard warrior. One day you'll get it.
+Neil Delos Santos find a hobby spammer
Can I just point out that context is very important in recognising someone. People who may've had suspicions about the missing child would've thought 'there is no way that the missing kid could be 20ft away from the missing kid poster'
Wouldn't have hurt them to check though.
Liek dis if yu crie evrytim.

IKR!!
If i saw someone trying to hurt a dog id punch them
If i saw another kid my age sitting alone at a park i whould wait with him and if nobody came id call 911 with my phone
Wow then you must be pretty stupid because not all people who sit alone at a park mean that they are lost.
GT haha ,, good point!
Arlyn Jane Credo lol thanks
You'd probably get the kid arrested. Being lost in the Florida specifically, gets you up to 3 years in Juvenile Hall.
Luis ....So your mom or dad or whoever you were with just walks away and then they punish YOU for being lost? I hate America ._.
This is so beautiful. I wasn't expecting that many people to talk to him.
R u joking or kidding?
govhq you understood nothing...
What I'm saying is that most people would just walk away and not care.
Read the description, they said that they filmed 144 people, and I'm guessing that they showed all the people who stopped to help. Around 5-6 people stopped him (couples/ friends counting as one), therefore hardly anyone actually helped.
The sign is in English but they're speaking Italian. Weird.
It might be a tourist spot
it ain't that hard to recognize a face on a poster like that
The Place of these pranks is Italy...But the sign is English cause it's an English channel
+StivenCabrera3 because even tourist can read it. If you didn´t know… English is the universal language.
+Vlogging Julez this is an italian channel "teorically"

Hehe, you too. ^-^
I wouldn't help the kid because
a) His face is down so I wouldn't even recognize him
b) It seems like a prank just because he is few feet away from two posts which I don't think he wasn't be able to read himself and just ask someone for a phone
c) He is in the exact same place where the posts are so I'd think he choose no to go back for a reason.
what if he just arrived at the park? doesn't he WANT to be found? and I would ask a child a little question if he was sitting there alone on a bench with nobody around him.
It's a "social experiment" not a prank!
Windmill, windmill for the land.

Take it all in on your stride
It is ticking, falling down
Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?
Don't need to be a jackass about it the kid might be scared.
OK this is NOT a prank, but to me it would LOOK like a prank. Jesus people, learn to read.
Just what i thought :)
That was exactly what I thought during the whole video
expect the unexpected; if I see a kid in the park that matches 50 posters, it might be weird and not make sense but I would still intervene
wouldn't happen? Read description
So a policeman/policewoman found you?? Which half was woman? Or is you story full of crap?
skldezigns I can't remember if it was a man or women, is that a crime? and why the hell would I make up a story like that? people CAN get lost you know.
I got lost 2 , one when I was 3, another when I was 6 or 7. Lol , not lying
It disgusts me that the people have no shit. 96% walked by the kid without looking at him, while they know this is the lost kid. In addition, your story is really possible. Idiots say its a made story. How and why would you make up a story like that? WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME DOWN TO????????
Gave* not have. Autocorrect
Those gentlemen with tracksuit.
It's not about ignoring a child , but I wouldn't walk around talking to every child who's alone ! I mean , people these days take every single move as a sexual harassment! Even if you wanna help, you can't be sure that you're not going to be misunderstood.. It sucks !
3:00 OMFG What is wrong with them ?????
nothing at all
I know right!!!!
I would of help that child!!
Angry birds. You more than likely like most people had your mind on somebody else you can't say you would have helped that child if you was is that situation.
u see them rollin' u hatin'
I always thought people would be less likely to help in a real world scenario after getting pranked..
liar lol youd go great never doing that again@@MyDnb123
This broke my heart so badly. So many people looked back at the boy and didn't even bother to ask him if he was okay. He looked so young....
I'm crying lots of people looked at him and carried on
i think some of them laughed at him as well.
I did, but I'm a local and I know that in this town the main lanes are closed from 2 to 8 am, and also there was a train stopped there to spend the night, so I knew for sure that there would be no trains coming in or out for another 2 hours.
boring
R Hirshi
Come one, come all!
Now if you follow me this way, you'll see the Grammar Nazi!
even more boring. sock puppet imitate imitate imitate and talk boring drivel.
Thank you. I wouldn't even consider this an experiment. Maybe be a social test.
That's why the title is "would you recognize a missing child?" and not "would you help a missing child?". There's a difference.
PhilGerb93 Touche.
This made me cry, some people looked at the sign and him and then just walked away like nothing! WHY!?
These kind of social experiments always make me cry
So only way for most people would be if missing person would be next to sign that say he/she is missing...
Omg , i just rondomly found you ,i'm one of your subscriber, what are u doing here?
Watching video lol
***** Didn't realize every fucking human being on the planet was exactly like you. Stupid shit.
***** i love how youre trying to sound all smart XD did you bust out the thesaurus for me? how many languages do you know? all of them? lol
Nope i know the english language by heart. I speak and write dutch, english and german. And i'm not trying to sound smart, i just am.
Your making a big difference in doing these social experiments it touchs my heart I would get pissed if people do not help out due to the fact they don't want to get involved....Help out one another rather than minding your own business because people need your help...you may never know if you don't ask.....
This made me cry because of how many people would ignore a lost child in need of help 😭
Only 5% people walking near him tried to help him wtf is going on in the world
quit asking wtf is happening and do something
in their defense the kid had his head down, and his posters with phone numbers on them were like 10 feet away if he couldn't help himself after all that do we need him in the world, he's what you'd call a in the way person.
Humans are the most inhumane of all.
not everyone
ye and you lost faith in humanity etc etc. go on
I think you're the most inhumane of all. Why do people thumbs up the most stupid comments
3:24 the bitch was probably just playing Pokemon Go and said Fuck it ima catch myself more pokemaens! XD

so true I hate that game
Bless them people who helped.
What is with these Damn Ninjas always cuttin onions in my room :'(
I can't believe that most people would walk away. That's sad.
These people are so kind! ^^
Would You Recognize a Missing Child? (Social Experiment)
You're everywhere.
LOL, you have made it gone global
dude go fuck your self
dafuq are you talking about bitch
hes commenting on ALOT of videos the name of the video and gets alot of likes
Not a very good experiment. First of all most of the people that passed by the little boy couldn't even see his face. And you wouldn't just go up to a kid and try to look at him for ages so you could try and recognise him from the photos on the posters. Second of all people don't really remember faces of people in photos that they looked at for a few seconds if they have never met the person in real life. Photos usually look very different to the person in real life except passport or ID photos. I'm surprised that many people recognised the boy.
Shut up!! You sound like an ass that's trying to justify bullshit! Just stop it and shut up!
That is all
skldezigns
Jeez, you have problems don't you? Ever heard of democracy? I'm not trying to justify anything. I'm just being objective. Ofcourse I would help a little kid if he/she was lost. Being lost is a horrible feeling especially for a child. But this wasn't a good experiment. It wasn't an eye opener. These people weren't bad people who didn't want to help. They just didn't recognise the kid.
skldezigns
are a idiot or something? what his trying to say is true and not just that, if you think about it, the poster is just around the boy just in that area not where else and that to me sounds like a really really obvious trap. Now what I'm saying is bullshit? Try and go to my country Philippines and lets see how long will it take for you to be abducted. Let me remind you that the world is not a gentle place and that even a child can harm you as an adult.
Any decent person would ask the kid why hes sitting there all by himself.
You are 100% right.
I cannot tell what someone's face looks like by the top of their heads.
The people who look at him and go should fly away fly away - to fucking Mars
haha lol
+Alex C Rofl
I don't know how people can walk away from this child,it's not normal.
Putting up that many posters and writing "possibly in danger" will make your brain exclude the boy on the bench as the boy on the posters since this does not match the description... He's also looking down at the ground which makes his face hard to see, I don't think you guys should expect any other result than this...
How about the fact he is a kid alone in a park, doesn't happen often
Stitch Plays Well, that depends on where you live.
Stitch Plays Pretty common. I see kids by themselves riding their bikes around shopping centers.
95BoyFallout Exactly my point :)
xMyPointlessChannelx That is not the point of the video. If people get angry by watching this it is their own ignorance by not accepting the situation without any prejudices. The video doesn't judge the individuals at all, but the majority. How sad it is, the purpose of the video is correct and right. The way people react to it is their own stupidity, which you can't change anyway. Most people would react like 80% of the video.
thats why the point of the video is to socialize us more with people in need instead of being arrogant
xMyPointlessChannelx No one judged them? Or is it in the comments section?
videos like these inspire me to be a better person
even without the missing child signs, I think I would check on him and make sure he is okay.
so sad, good thing that some ppl saw him
It saddens me to what American society has become. I appreciate the people who would help a missing child.
Andrea Pampuan than you should have said it about that video. If you state things that dont comply its makes it seem like you are an idiot. Which you are
Jaquan Farrell ***** There's absolutely no need to cuss her out!! You can inform her without calling her something rude.
Lollipop110811 I didnt cuss though
Jaquan Farrell No, but you were being rude while the other guy was cussing her out. Seriously, take it easy man.
Is this in america?!
this made me cry and i never cry
if you have no feelings about this video then you're just a douche bag
***** i don't understand how this is a sad video? the song is sad, Maybe you were mistaking the video as the sad part when in fact the song is the sad part
When I watch these videos seeing how many people don't stop makes me cry
This makes me sad because it shows us how much people have evolved into becoming more interested into what they're doing like if they are texting or busy doing their own stuff, instead of noticing lost children or homeless people. I'm happy that some people actually noticed the child and tried to help, these kind of things are heartwarming.
Omg broke my heart... I would definitely stop and ask the kid why he was alone, even without the posters. Children should not be left alone like that.
I don't believe you.
Hey DM you should see " WTF psychology experiment " It would freak you out.
This video left me with tears
I always cry at your social experiments
Did anyone else get rely sad ? Or just me
i was so sad, because they wasted 50 pieces of paper
i did :(
LIGHTzpeeed Performance those selfless trees died for us to have paper :(
Lmao they wasted 50 sheets of paper
If it wasnt for the sad music..

uncivilized 00000000 55555555 youtube is internet 2 tho
yes i know thats why Im saying is, people now a days cant live without it. Including us watching youtube and commenting
uncivilized 00000000 55555555 yup
I felt like crying while watching this. I found a smudge of hope for humanity.
this is really sad and cool and a little happy.
happy because some people noticed as well as i know that cristean wasnt really lost, but sad that a lot of people wither ignored him or just didnt realize it was him
I like these social experiments they make me happy when someone helps *If you see a homeless man take him out for ice cream * xD
I did that once even though I'm only a kid but I didn't really bring them I gave them 1 fifty dollar gift card to Mcdonald
Lol I just he have to walk to mcdonalds to get food lol
He was right next to Mcdonald well like 3 streets away
oh kool lol
Although the odds of a missing person being within 30 feet of several missing posters with their face on it are slim to none, I think it's sad to see how many people didn't notice what could've been an ACTUAL missing child. We live in some scary times..
Ikr 😞
my mom helped 4 missing children like without posters or anything just by looking at them , she would go straight ahead help them when i was a kid that was a life lesson for me
love you mom
R.I.P
God bless the people who stopped and helped
some people actually recognized him and decided to do nothing ..
Man down, man down, got hit right in the feels :(
its so nice that some people looked at the poster turned around and asked him whats wrong :)
Bless the people that actually did something
Great experiment.
Missing children often don't make eye contact. They are too scared.
This is a good example of how much more we need to use our instinct. Sometimes just reading a child's body language can tell you they are in trouble.
Recognizing who they are comes second.
*Gather your courage.*
*Save the child.*
Worry about the rest later.
There's a Hero in all of you reading this. Just be it.
^_^"
This is so upsetting.... people are oblivious, just hope I would be able to notice if it ever came up...
you should of put a 500 reward I think they would of came fast
Men, ur english is too bad
*man
RIP English
"whats your name?christian?"
oh wait nevermind
in my opinion it might have worked better if the child wasn't sitting around all the posters, ppl may have just thought that it couldn't be him due to that fact.
Am I the only one who cried
Steph Hpets nope
Steph Hpets nope
Steph Hpets no
Steph Hpets no
Steph Hpets I cried too
how heartless are some of these people to just walk past
This video made me cry every person who stopped, every person who walked by, every person who glanced... this Is touching
Some of the people who couldn't spot the kid can't be blamed. There are so many other psychological factors other than just being "busy" to account for that are missing in this "experiment." Good try, but this doesn't show the reality of it.
They should pay attention to their surroundings if a child is missing.
Stephen O'Neill the child should pay attention to their surroundings..
Joseph R Exactly. You are lost, you should get help. Don't expect people to know you need help.
Hey!!! The kid is like 7 years old!!! He cant do everything on his own!! Be aware of your surrounding when you walk in the streets your not the only one there!!
7 years old is old enough. If he was 4 then it's understandable.
You should have sent the clown with the chainsaw after the people who didn't stop lol.
The music makes it so caring
I nearly cried at all the cruel people that never helped him
