I had 2 quid spare and me and my mates were eating in the BMU when we looked at the Ladbrokes odds. 2 of us did an accumulator on Matt Holmes to score first at 25-1 and West Ham to win 3-0 which was 30-1, I got £1.5K and my mate who was a gambler stuck £20 on and go £15 grand! West Ham were safe as well, wha5 a fucking night!
Normally if was betting, Wichita was rare I’d do Dicksy to score first, I’d actually won a bit of cash in him in the past, that Easter a free kick against Forest and a Pen against Wimbledon on the Thursday 20-1 and 10-1, won a ton both night, don’t think I’ve bet on football since that night!
@@tsrgoinc I remember they had a betting kiosk inside the Boleyn back in the day. Odds for Dicksy were quite small at around 8/1. Ludo was always around 100/1 but always on the board because of his huge goal kicks! I bet you're retired now. No need to bet anymore!
Aah , John Motson forever immortalised, RIP John!
I'd forgotten how good a goalscorer Don Hutchison was for us back then. And that was a shocking miss by Morley for the 4th goal ! 🤢🤢
He got some important goals that year. Bringing back Tony Cottee also helped.
Holmes wearing a jersey 3 sizes bigger than his size! Look at those sleeves!!!! hahaha
I still wonder why Billy Bonds was edged out of management the summer before.
David James wasn't too clever there.
Christ that Liverpool team was bad at the back.
It's quite funny great night I needed glasses and could not see a thing and had to ask my mate who what where when through out the whole match
Hutchinson, remember him

Lucky Trevor Morley was crap that night!
