What If All the World's Ice Melted?

  • Ice caps on both poles of the planet are melting. And not just a few. All of them. If all this ice melted, it would be catastrophic. How much would the sea levels rise? How would this impact global temperatures? And what would this mean for life on Earth? Would the coastal lands be completely submerged in water? What will happen to places like Denmark, the Maldives and Singapore?

    Ice caps of our planet reflects 1/3 of the Sun's light back to space. If they melt away, the Earth starts to receive 33% more heat from our star. This means massive water evaporation on Earth. So the sea levels would actually NOT rise, rather it would mix with air, increasing the atmospheric pressure accordingly.
    Imagine all the water mass on Earth, added to our atmosphere!
    That is Venus, ladies and gentleman.
    As our beloved star matures and gets hotter and bigger, the Earth will turn into Venus!

    Ice floating on water would NOT contribute to sea level rise. The ice already displaces water. And since water expands when it freezes, it would take less volume when it melts.

    I have a question: Would there be any snow falling in the winter if all ice melted overnight?

    • @insanelol-_-5521
      @insanelol-_-5521 Před 2 lety +3

      no cause ice melted due to global warming and if all ice melted then it means that earth average temperature will be 27°C,if it will be 27°C then there won't be any snowfall after the sea covered the whole earth because due to it's high temperature there will be hot as well as cold in sea, winters will be dry,summers will be nothing cuz water is covered everywhere fishes got land as their 2nd home and after sometimes humans won't be able to live in cuz sea water has salt in it which will dry your skin and destroy the buildings u made if get in contact for days and months so humans will likely to die at that time cuz there's only sea water no fresh water u can't drink sea water to live u will be likely to be dead by kidney failure!!

    • @Shonade_Malik
      @Shonade_Malik Před 2 lety

      @@insanelol-_-5521 Yeah, that's true, but I think snow only would be able to fall in the coldest of places. But still, temperature wouldn't be cold and would go to the coldest of 0 degrees or -5.

    • @insanelol-_-5521
      @insanelol-_-5521 Před 2 lety

      @@Shonade_Malik temperature will be cold under sea but furthermore if the global warming temperature again rises then there will be no sea and water left what will left is a barren world and if this goes on then our orbital zone will be also destroyed and likely there will be no atmospheric belt left in this barren world no human no water and lastly nothing what is left is only barren world and to say it'll turn the same as mars but if atmospheric belt will not be destroyed then even after all there is left is a barren world then it eill be a new world that started billion yrs ago remember? when all waters will be evapourated and the atmospheric belt will be left then to cool down the gloval warming a large group of cloud will sum up cuz of evapuration in sea water which is mixed with large glacier of fresh water all there's left in the barren land is salt so when it's rain it's likely to see this world again but with salty water mixed with fresh water or only fresh water then after few years maybe there will be a chance of living organisms if miracles happen cuz some small bacteria can live in extremely hot temperature so there's a possibility that this will be a planet with only animals and trees but if that happens then human will again return by evolution and this will as per this cycle and living organisms will come again but if they will do likely this generations then they will be again destroyed and after this few cycles this world will be destroyed i got a big theory for all this but if i told u then it will be as lond as reading a book that's why its a short version and behing this theories i hav explainations as well for it and to sum up all this, it is a reasonable answer, yall can say if this matter will turn like this cuz there's a biggest chance like this and i hav told u 5 possibilities for this to happen like this!!!
