caught my pb this morning, 6lbs on the whopper plopper! one of the greatest moments in my life lol thanks tyler
Thats awesome!! I got a 5.5 Tuesday on a walking bait. Best bass fight of my life. Those top water explosions are priceless
Sick!!
Awesome! Congratulations đđŒ
thats funny, because i just caught a 6 lb personal best around noon today.
So cool! Congrats!
Ik everyone says this but really how come your channel doesnât have at least a million subs yet. Your quality and information is above so many channels. Keep it up Tyler really helpful đȘđŒ
Cause it takes a long time to get there on this platform! Share my videos with all of your friends, and I will get there fasterđđŒ
That pro tip on rigging the 10" worm on shakey head and not going all the way through is gold, pure gold Tyler, appreciate all that you do to inform and advance fishing and community
Agreed! Now I know why I was missing bites on the shaky head. Will definitely try this rigging method next time I head out.
A big worm on the Texas rig is the best way, you just canât beat it bro. After watching the full video I learned a lot from you once again. Keep up the great videos Tyler, youâre crushing itđŻđŁ
Thanks homie!
Do you have to use a weight?
Started fishing very young and only used zoom trick worms Texas rig with a 1/8 oz bullet and 14lb flouro or mono since thatâs what my dad always used. Iâve learned a lot from your vids and have caught bass with different setups. Thank you for the tips
Thatâs what I like to hear!
One of the best videos I have seen. Most just tell you where to go and what to buy. You broke down how to retrieve the worms very well. Subscribed!
chest mount view of how you rig soft plastic worms was VERY helpful! Thanks, Tyler.
I'm getting into bass fishing for the first time_Dad died when I was 13, now 32, from Alabama, but Air Force brat, and I have fished 3 lakes in the past month with artificial bait and I'm really optimistic with the hits so far, even though no bass yet đ . trying stick bait, white swimming minnow like soft plastics, and frog. central Florida/DeLand and Daytona
Youâll get it my friend! Never give up!
Love how the turtle was just chilling in the background when u was rigging the lures up
I know haha
Thatâs so funny! I didnât see it at first.
I will sometimes put a tiny bead between the tungsten weight and the worm. And recently bobber stops have become my friend.
Keep up the great work Tyler! I just picked up bass fishing and youâve taught me so much already!!! Keep up the grind brotha!!
Want to say thank you for always looking out for us bank fishermen!
Of course, Paul! I know that there are so many different types of anglers, which is why I make so many different types of videos
just started fishing and have no clue what to even do, so this will be definitely my set up to fish for bass and see what happen
that turtle cameo at 6:09 đ
Thanks Tyler!! Good video!
I have so much confidence in a big Texas rig worm! Iâm mainly a curly tail worm guy! They just get bit! I also fish a big worm different than most people I also will fish a big worm shallow and flip it around shallow targets and shaded docks! It works!
Iâm sure it can! I just havenât seen many pros on tour doing it, which is where I learn most of what I do
Love this T. Iâve only been bass fishing for about 6 months. Always trying the âlatest and greatestâ lures that honestly I canât afford to be losing at the $10(+) prices. Senko on the bank and big worm deep sounds pretty simple and straight forward.
Takes a while to get a good feel and rhythm for fishing plastics but they work better than any lure that I have from the bank
It really is pretty simple. Wonât break the bank either!
Green Senkos weightless or wacky rig, black trick worms on a shaky head, and flukes have caught 90% of my bass over the years. Everything more expensive tends to stay in the bag. Going to give the big worms a try.
Nice job, Iâm convinced đ
Great and informative video. You get to the point quickly and make it simple. I love the angle of rig setups. Great job man. I'm going try this today when I head out. Keep it up brother
Good video. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tips!
Your videos are great man. Iâm tryna relearn how to fish as an adult and this is so helpful.
I love to hear that! You belong here on the channel, and I am glad to have you around
-âNow why do bass eat a worm like the cut râ worm or any worm?â
-âI have absolutely zero clueâ
Lol love how you keep it real Tyler đ€đŸđŻ
As always great vid. Iâve already started throwing a big worm. So this was great stuff to help me out
Great vid tyler! I've been glued to watching you vids. don't worry, I'm "liking" them all! Safe travels!
Heck yeah! Thank you!!
Awesome advice! Some anglers are intimidated, by using big worms! Big EWG hook, big soft plastic worm, boomâŠâŠ.!, thereâs the point. Itâs all about the timing of the hook set! Great video!
Excellent video brother
I really like how you keep it real when talking about different lures and techniques and your communication skills are very good keep up your success.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
I love your content it's always entertaining, educational, positive and humorous the fast food and riding the bike comparison to bass I started rolling. Man keep up the good work
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks I will definitely be using the tips on the lake today in my kayak
Heck yeah!
Thanks again. Tim
Gunna try this tomorrow morning man ! I'm excited! LFG
Let me know how it goes!
Dinks and mondos on the big worm! I've been throwing a weightless big worm at the pond next to my house. The snot/gunk grass in that pond is out of control and even a single weight would pull in so much of it. It's slow but it works. Can't even use topwater right now until it rains and the wind pushes the gunk down.
Dang! You can for sure use a frog though
@@TylersReelFishing You're right. My last frog got the sticky legs from the Texas heat. I need to buy another one! I can work the plopper around the gunk patches but the frog is definitely king there.
Great info.
Love this video, I personally won my first tournament not too long ago and very proud! Anyways bro another banger of a video remember the grind never stopđȘ
Congratulations man!
Good stuff bubba đ€đ»đ€đ»đŻ
Appreciate it!
Really appreciate it đ€
Love your content Tyler. Definitely helping me fine tune my bass fishing. The 100 ponds videos were absolutely amazing. I am a Bank Beater so it was great to watch you do the same. Keep up the great work buddy đ€đ»đŁđŁ
Been trying to master just the worm game and these videos are clutch. Just caught 2 on a finesse green pumpkin on shallow water out here in Tx, just like you said finess worms do. Gonna try bigger works as I fish deeper waters. Thanks brotha đȘđŒ

Thank you for this.

@@TylersReelFishing BTW, I'm no longer only a bank beater. I just got a fully rigged out SS127. Time for me to plumb back through all your content to relearn a bunch of stuff but from the water instead of shore. Thanks again for all the content. It is great.
Youâre like the graham stephen of fishing bro!!
Well thanks man!
I used to throw big worns in California but I've kind of gotten away from that with jigs and a few choice hard baits. I've recently said I need to start using all my soft plastics I have so this summer the big worm is definitely coming back and we'll try your tips for sure đđ»
Baits are usually cyclical for the fishing industry. Some will be popular for years, and then go out of style for whatever reason. I think the big worm is coming back đđŒ
thank you
Hey! I wanted to share an idea for a new video with you; weird/uncommon topwater baits like dragonflies, bugs, cicadas, rats, ducks, snakes, and any other strange top water lures. I think this would be a fun and interesting video for you to make and us to learn about topwater.
Iâm not a deep water angler but I throw my 10.5 inch worm in the shallow water and do real good! I want to get comfortable in deep water soon! Now itâs hard for me to throw a creature bait cause I have so much confidence in the big worm!
You in clear or dingy water?
Iâm in Louisiana , it clear but not crystal clear! I fish Lake St John , Caddo and Toledo bend a lot
Don't take me wrong I'm still. Razy about the big worm idea .......... nicely done Tyler Good Job brother
man great video you show which baits to use how to set them up and how to use them step by step đđ
Thatâs my whole goal!
I've caught some of my best bass on plastic worms. 7" in black/chartreuse, black/blue fleck, or purple. I've found dark colors work in the murky waters that just about every pond has in my state. Sometimes I simply use plain jigheads, but in the especially weedy ponds, I'll use a Texas Rig. Given the shallow ponds I fish in, I don't need to use anything heavier than 1/4 oz.
I'm a big fan of yours and I live in Waco texas. I am certainly just going through your Chanel watching your fishing videos trying to become I better fisherman. I would really love if you could make a video on lake waco. That would be soooo cool. I am a big catfisher men but I would love to learn more about bass fishing. I really hope to meet you one day and thank you for all of the amazing tips you have been able to show me.
Great video. I have a package of 10" Zoom Ol Monsters I wonder how to use. I'll have to give them another try. Crazy how even small bass will hit big baits at the right time of year.
They really will eat âupâ haha
Thanks new to your channel and wanted to start throw bigger worms....Thanks for the info!!
Awesome!
Great video. Yesterday morning after the top water died the wind kicked up and we tried spinnerbaits / chatterbaits with the 15 mph winds. Nothing worked until we switched to dead sticking weightless soft plastics even in the wind. I picked up some 12 inch worms to try for the deeper parts of the pond / lake I fish. Been catching fish when I go but all in that 1lb - 1.5lb range on jigs and soft plastics shallow cover. Im gonna try upsizing to the big worm and casting deep.
Go for it!
Nice, I need to get back into using worms
Yes yes you do
đ€đ you to funny Bro... Nice content!!! đȘđœâđœ
Iâd love to see a video of how you set up your swivels sinker and for what ever set up you use them onâŠ.? Trying to get into fishing love your channel!!
I do not use any swivels
@@TylersReelFishing dang thanks for fast reply. Awesome you just tight straight to whatever your fishing with?
I loved it man! All I have is 2 7 foot medium heavy rods I plan Iâm on getting a 7â6ââ heavy power rod soon! And I would love to see a kind of what lures to throw on a medium heavy power rod!
MH is really an all-purpose rod. I will be explaining that in some videos soon
@@TylersReelFishing alright thanks Tyler !
Went out today to pull the crank bait one of them ahead the beautiful dozen or so cast with worms but I also had four birds nest. Iâm still happy because I had a dozen good ones and had kidding you so I put the brake on it may be just a little bit more.
Tyler, you should do night fishing tips. That's something I really want to learn
I have! Search âTylersReelFishing nightâ.
Whenever you have a fishing question or technique you want to learn, search âTylersReelFishing ____â and in that blank, put the topic you are curious about. Odds are, ive already made a video about itđđŒ
Well let me tell you, that is as big a crazy idea as the size of that worm...hahahaha....I like crazy, going to give it a try.đȘđ€
Do it!!
Da turtle just chillin
I believe the sound of the curly tail worm is what triggers bass, we all know that different speeds cause different sounds so you can manipulate baits like a curly tail worm to make different sounds until you find what works
Iâve had pretty good luck in the last couple weeks throwing a 10â ribbon tail under docks in northern MN. Iâm guessing itâs a fall thing but Iâve been pleasantly surprised!
That's great!
Grew up using regular size power worms, was thinking of maybe trying big worms this year
Give it a shot!
When is the next video coming out?! I am itching for it man.
TONS coming!
I actually run the hook 2 inches deeper. where the worm is sitting on my line past the eyelid of the hook. Way more wiggle action
My two biggest bass were caught on plastic worms, one bass I landed last week on a 7 inch black Venom ribbon tail. Years ago my personal best was caught on a 6 inch ZOOM Tequila Sunrise U Tale. I understand the reasoning for useing monster soft plastic worms but I'm in Northeast Ohio and big bass are few and far between.
Yes they are
Then you gotta target the big ones my friend! Big worms are the best way to do that in the summer
@@TylersReelFishing I'll give it a try. ZOOM Old Monster?
Hey Iâve been watching youâre channel for a little while and Iâve always wanted to know how you record youâre underwater videos
Just with a GoPro and a special mount that I built. I donât do it a whole lot anymore though since it is so complicated
I never threw a big worm yet I might give it a try this weekend
Go for it! Only one way to find out if it works for you
I been throwning a worm and never get a fish but as soon as i switch to a craw or creature bait i start catching some
I like big worms and I cannot lie! đ¶đ”
Just a thought can you considered making a playlist for bass beginner then so on and so on just a thought.
I will make one soon!
I love Tyler he one CZcamsr thatâs stays true to him self most let the fam get to them not Tyler I appreciate that he responds to my comments every time
You should make a video on finshing canals that would be nice and something different đ

I am obviously late to the party since this is an old video but I want to try the large shakey heads this year. One thing I didnt notice in the video Tyler is what size shakey head do you recommend. There are 4 sizes of the recommended buckeye jig. If I was to get only 1 or maybe 2 what size?
Thanks for your input and keep the great videos coming!
3/16 and 5/16
large worms can look like freshwater eels and snakes. both are in almost all locations atleast one or the other or both.
Hey Tyler, not sure if youâve done a video like this or not, but could you do one over soft plastics that you find to be extremely versatile? For instance, a bait that you feel could be used for deep, middle, top water columns.
It would be super beneficial to me and Iâm sure others that donât have the money to spend on tons of rods and/or baits.
Iâll add it to the list!
@@TylersReelFishing thanks! Iâm looking forward to it! Btw, I received a message from another scammer with your profile picture. So they are still trying to get people.
Got my first jig fish the other day
Letâs go!
Hey Tyler! Love the content! I have one question. What speed reel do you suggest for giant worms? Keep up the great work. Gig 'Em!! (Class of '98)
It really doesn't matter for this technique!
iâve caught all my biggest bass on a zoom ol monster 10.5â june bug or plum worm texas rig. Literally just caught a 7lb and 5.6lb
So cool! Definitely a big fish catcher
Could you prob make a vid on like 5 to 6 rods and reels I need to start tournament fishing because I signed up to be on the fishing team for school. I already have 3 rods a 6â6 med heavy Berkeley lightning with shimano Slx dc, lews laser tx5 6â10 medium heavy, and then a 7ft medium spinning rod and reel. I need to figure out if I need more or less like sell one or something like that and then get a new one
How do you decide when to use a magnum shakey head worm vs a Texas rig vs a Carolina rig vs a Drop/Power shot technique when fishing offshore summer structure areas? Thanks.
I rotate em all in brush piles, the shaky head in rock, and usually the drop shot in grass
Still laughing from the âfat people & Bikesâ comment! Love the videos by the way, envious of what youâve created/accomplished and you job! Keep it up!
And we still ainât done yet!
I missed a GIANT pike on a big worm a week ago... I simply wasn't prepared or targeting them, and he just snapped my 15lb test like it was a a candy cane..
(Casted in very shallow water in heavy weeds, early morning, all black worm with curly roughly 10")
I've actually caught a few large in shallow water here in northern California
Not saying it can't be done! Just not what most pros are doing, which would lead me to believe it's not the best for shallow applications
Worms can breathe in water and sometimes end up in the water especially during a lightning storm. Large night crawlers can be near the size of those worms. Leaches also can be fairly long as well, snakes and newts look very similar size and shape to a worm. For big worms I like straight shank worms hooks smaller better! Look up mojo rig.
I just really donât think thereâs enough worms, leeches, and snakes for bass to really be able to know that is what your soft plastic worm represents
Iâve seen where a lot of people will swim the curly tail my self included and it always been effective for me have you or anyone else on here trued it what are your thoughts
My local pond has a huge grass mat do you have a video for bank fishing this situation
Yep! Search âTylersReelFishing grassâ and âTylersReelFishing punchingâ
LOL. the fat people analogy. Priceless. LOL
I started putting a peg UNDER the weight of my Texas rig that way it doesnât slam down onto the top of my bait and knock it off the shoulder of my hook đ
I donât think the weight is whatâs causing that to happen. Soft plastics just weaken, especially after fish catches, which causes it to fall down. But hey, if itâs workin for ya, keep it up!
@@TylersReelFishing just try it out and youâll see, your bait will stay in place a lot longer
Tyler, what happens if all the ponds I fish in are slime and muck bottom? Also can you use a ribbon tail worm to punch lily pads?
1. Slime? Check this out: czcams.com/video/N2Ma0sM0g2M/video.html
2. You can, but I would not recommend it. There are plenty of better baits to punch than that. Search âTylersReelFishing punchingâ
I just got some 7.5â curly tails Iâm going to Texas rig and throw out Sunday morning, wish me luck
Awesome! Hope you caught em!
@@TylersReelFishing well it will be this Sunday so we will see haha
Tyler..
What are your thoughts on big/bigger worms when it comes to small mouth?
Outside of the obvious smaller mouth, and for the most part how they tend to prefer finesse, Iâve caught smallies on sone pretty sizable crankbaits, so just curious how often you use big worms for smalliesâŠ.
Have you ever used the gambler E-16" worm ,its humongous and catches 10" bass its hilarious the worm is bigger than most of the bass i catch on it
Dude, that crappie is a slab and a half
i wish i can see you my coment sir i still watching you from phillipines fish on master
So I'm primarily a bank fisherman and, and in my favorite spot is a bunch of thick, tall grass at the edge of the water. It definitely does not make a canopy as it is literally just grass, but any time I try to get a lure in it, the lure is forced up and out of the water. This also happens to be where I hear the most fish amd see/hear the most blowups. Got any suggestions?
This maybe? czcams.com/video/25vUSqeIxK0/video.html
