Well if i may add a short comment, a study found out that Amla berries contain the highest antioxidant content of any edible food. So, that for me is enough reason to consume Amla despite it tastes awful to me. I do not recommend the juice thing as anything turned into juice will not let you take full benefit of the fruit. Thank you for the nice ans informative video

@@lecahier Turning anything into juice will strip away a lot of its benefits, some studies on fruit found even harmful effects from fruit juices, that is why I stopped consuming fruit juices and ate them instead. Regarding other preparation methods, i honestly do not have data, but if you stay away from adding salt or sugar it should be ok. I personally eat them raw despite their bitter taste but i want to take the full benefit.

@@ahmadsharifyakan4402 I am going to buy it from the store next time and try it raw. Hopefully I can stick to that and use it like a medicine if need be because the benefits are abundant.

I eat it raw now regularly, one to two per day and also eat fresh raw Ginger ..only Curcuma i consume as a powder since raw caused a mess with everything stained yellow ...Amla tasted horrible at first but with time you get used to it , just keep in mind the Amla has the highest Antioxidant content of any edible stuff out there according to a paper i read that tested hunderds of food for their antioxidant content, so the benefits are extreme and only one piece is enough ! Good luck and best wishes

The fundamental problem here is pure science!! Vitamin C is not heat resistant. So boiling Amla is nothing but waste. Eating Chavanpryash is the same. You are simply adding the sugar intake without any vitamin C. I wish people consider science-based facts first

We store amla in brine and make it into pickle whenever needed.
We also make a khadi kind of diah. Take a couple of amlas from the brine solution, remove the seeds add some coconut, ginger, green chillies, salt and grind it into a paste. Add this paste to thick buttermilk and have it as a chutney or mix it with hot rice.
Raw amla cut into small pieces, small pieces of ginger, finely cut green chillies, salt and some lime juice also makes a yummy pickle. One of my Assamese friends taught me this.
