- Waldent RCTcal is a radiopaque calcium hydroxide paste with barium sulphate with basic pH of value less than or equal to 12.5 and is indicated for endodontic dressing procedures as root canal filling material.
Waldent RCTcal is a water-based paste indicated for temporary root canal dressing, pulp capping, vital pulpotomy, and apexification.
It is available in a 3-gram syringe kit which contains one 3 gram syringe and 4 disposable tips. The material is a soft, pre-mixed paste that can be delivered directly into the root and apical areas by a plastic syringe and delivery tips.
INDICATIONS:

* Direct and indirect pulp capping
* Internal & external root resorption
* Abscesses and weeping canals, apexification
* For capping after pulpotomy

How long does the calcium hydroxide take to stop the tooth pain in a repeat root canal? Had RC 4 mos. ago & tooth #15, back L upper molar. Never did get crown on because pain in tooth never went away! Kept telling dentist & endo no changes in how tooth feels & was told to give it time. 😢 But now they admit there must be a problem. Am I just in the unlucky 5% or is this endodontist error?

How to take out?
To remove calcium hydroxide from calcified canals, use a combination of EDTA irrigation and fine endodontic files for mechanical removal. Ultrasonics can also be very effective. Ensure thorough irrigation to clear out residues. Proceed with care to avoid damaging the tooth. If difficulties persist, consider consulting an endodontic specialist.
