Very informative, here’s a tip in case you have not thought of it, I use the dry swifter to dust my walls, and hot tip if you ever have drywall dust swifter works like magic. Cheers Vancouver Island Canada 😊
When my kids were little, I painted using an eggshell finish. This wasn't durable enough for our messiness. When I would spot clean high traffic areas like around the light switch, the paint would wipe off. Of course, I was using a 409 type cleaner. Maybe it was too harsh. Beware eggshell finish isn't the answer to grubby little paws problems.
I think I have a neat freak/clean freak mental disorder (not to the level of some people).. More like, if I leave the house and everything isn't perfectly clean, the entire day it claws at me... Sort of like if someone's life is a total mess, but if the house is perfectly clean and spotless it makes up for the screwed up life? I don't know. Like the other night, I looked out my kitchen window and on the sidewalk there was this soda can someone just threw down...I tried to ignore it...until the next day... but I couldn't...I went out at 2 am and picked it up.... that's what I'm talking about.
I always vacuum as much as I can with the backpack vacuum first, then touch up dust last. If the ceiling fan has an inch of dust on it, I vacuum it first with the backpack vacuum. Same with blinds, smooth surfaces, walls, etc. Then touch up dust last.
