    I love your honest take on the Shimano MT200 brakes, I've seen countless videos saying disparaging things about them because they perform exactly as they are designed to and not the way the user wants them to.

    Hey Richard this video came up on my recommended page! So cool. Glad you like that D7. Still my favorite bike to date.

      Hey evan! I just got the Vitoria down country tires!! I like them how about you!? I used flex seal to paint the red stripes which i don’t like either !! It worked great and is a perfect match !!

      Yes ! There are some really nice upgrades that can make a big difference. You don’t need to spend too much to make some big improvements but it’s pretty awesome right out of the box

    Getting the grommets out is a PITA for sure.I ruined mine, 10.00 a piece for the dam things. I didn't put the grommets back in I just did a hack with black electrical tape cut kind of fancy and it works great. Even if you get the grommets out there is still no way to thread the hose through without disconnecting the brakes. I got the T8. Congrats on the purchase.

    • @topseller17
      @topseller17  Před 2 lety

      Input a razor slit into the grommet and then wrapped it around the cable and once it was inside it sat decently. Thanks for watching! Enjoy the season!

    Did you do 2 piston or 4 piston brakes? I'm thinking about replacing just the front brakes on my 2021 Siskiu D7 and haven't decided which to go with. (SLX vs XT and 2 vs 4)

    • @topseller17
      @topseller17  Před 2 lety

      They are 2 piston but they are solid. They are on Magura rotors with metallic pads. I’m down country rider and this stuff gets costly but it I was 26 years old I’d be all over the 4 pistons as my style back then was aggressive

    I've got same bike. What about getting a bash guard? If so which one that would fit this model?

    Seen a lot of reviews saying that the bottom bracket is too low. Have you experienced pedal strikes?

    is the 2023 frame for D7 same frame as T7/T8? It looks like Polygon´s only manufacturing is the frame and verything else was mass purchase thereby lower price for whole bike to end consumers. So the wheels for the 2023 frame and nobby nic tires can easily be converted to tubeless? I don´t see any tubeless ready logos on either the tires or the wheels.

    I've had mega problems with spacing amd the same clicking noise you describe with my polygon.
    I just changed out the dog poo wheels lol. New hubs the lot. And got the actual shimano chain for hyper glide system that's what the clicking noise was. And it actually now shifts better.
    Sealed bearings is a good upgrade also because polygons in house parts manufacture entity are actually just generic Amazon shite.

      So these were my upgrade so far
      Stem is now a gorgeous Funn
      Pnw bars
      Xt brakes
      Magura rotors
      Grips
      Dropper lever
      Pedals are awesome Funn pedals
      I didn’t seem to bother the wheels too much. I been thinking about these nuke proof wheels but I don’t want to spend more money until the season starts. The chain hasn’t given me an issue when it’s cleaned and oiled. Make sure your using a ptfe chain lube. The hubs were giving you trouble ?

    Got mine for 20% off! From the upgrades, bought used pike, 150 mm travel rn, its ok, $450 serviced. Bought fox dpx2 rear shock for $350 needed new oil. Also replace brakes with magura mt trails, got them from free. Bought renthal carbon fatbar for about $120, built new wheels, rims dt swiss 560, $80 pcs x2, spokes dt competition, 100$ both, hubs Are cheap koozer xm390 hubs, perfect for $100 front and rear. Pedals- raceface chester- $40 love them. Grips Are pnw loams i love them for only 20 bucks. Pnw dropper and oversized lever. Maxxis minion tires for my trails. Build is st about 3 k and its probably undestructable. Will upgrade drivetrain to sram nx/gx but then i gotta get a new hub bb and all that i already upgraded :)

    Hey, you think you can fit a 29 x 2.6 tire in the rear?

    • @topseller17
      @topseller17  Před 2 lety +1

      I think so, the rims are 30mm or so internal , stick are 2.4 so 2.6 should be ok but that likely the limit

      @@topseller17 Thanks. Just placed the order :)
      I actually ordered the D6 because I have some parts in my house already like a Rockshox pike 140 travel, wheelset and tires. Question,
      How long did Bikesonline take to ship the bike?
