Ghost Riders in the Sky - Since it’s October, it’s time to get out your spooky banjo tunes and be sure to share your favorites in the comments. This tune was taught to me by my first clawhammer teacher, the late Mark Jones, Grandpa Jones’ son.
11" Walnut Dobson

Walnut and dobson tone rings make great solo banjos as they are incredibly warm and bass driven. These banjos have very few harsh overtones especially with a skin head and are very forgiving to play. Mother of pearl 3D Star inlay give it classic, vintage look.

Oh man, just lovely and haunting. You put together some of the most elegant arrangements around for banjo. Outstanding.
Merci pour cet agréable moment de banjo
Dont make the mistake of thinking 9.3k views means 9300 people have seen this.......becaus 745 of those views are me.
Terrific bit of music.
Haunting. Nicely done. Time to get my banjo.
Great arrangement, Lukas. It makes a great and haunting banjo tune.Thanks.
Beautiful playing accompanied by a beautiful scene. Love the lights, the horse, the crickets in the background. Always excited to see a video come out on your channel.
Blacksheepbanjos send me here and it's a delight to listen to your version. Thx for this, Lucas!
Stunning 😘👌
Great arrangement and beautifully played.
This is beautiful
If you and your wife posted a video playing "tipping back the corn" I could die a happy man
This is just brilliant!
I'm so glad you've added this to your website as many of you're videos aren't tabbed out on the members page the way you play them and I would love the chance to be able to learn your versions.
Glad you like it, on the lesson page there’s a section called my playing transcribed , it’s not a lesson but a lot of the CZcams videos are note for note transcribed there. Most of the time it’s impossible to fit everything I play in to an easy and hard version lesson. I try and give the highlights of the cool hard sections of the tune, the rest are mostly dynamics.
Lovely! Definitely going to learn this one. My dad plays a great clawhammer version of Chuck Berry's Downbound Train, if you're ever in search of another great spooky song I recommend it
Please oh please can we have a tutorial for this
Nice
