Watching this for the first time in 2021. Hasan was hilariously funny and dead right about everything and everyone.
REALLY! A comedian telling the truth! OUTSTANDING!!! I couldn't believe I was seeing this. He was great and I actually enjoyed every moment of this. There was a lot of nervous laughter to no laughter in the entire room! His entire speech was a hard pill to swallow. ❤❤❤

So much of this needed to be said out loud and the absolute bravery of Hasan to say it is something I admire, this is what comedy is BUILT ON. it's truth. Look back at all the great comedians of our history, in every one you will find a story of them getting arrested, blacklisted or banned. People don't like the truth. Especially when it makes them look bad.

Saw Hasan show Live last night- rewatched this speech 5yrs since it’s been delivered. These jokes… they just land differently.
This roast will be studied by future generations as a defining moment in US constitutional history
For those saying the jokes weren't that funny, well, they really weren't necessarily supposed to be funny. Hasan purposely took this opportunity to bring up important issues that needed to be addressed, and he tried to do it the best way he could without making it sound like a protest or making himself sound like an angry Muslim minority. I don't know about you but I don't think I would be able to bring up these points in such a way where the crowed ends up giving me a standing ovation.
