My dad enlisted in the Navy, 1965 - 1969 and did two tours in Vietnam on three aircraft carriers and two Cam Ranh Bay stints. He got out of the Navy in 1969. He was in Army Reserve for 4 years and decided to reenlisted back in the Navy in 1980. Not only that, but he was enlisted to be AX attached with P-3. Later, he became CCC. He was retired in 1994. He helped a lot of people with their career in the Navy. Furthermore, he enjoyed hearing people doing very well in life. I am lucky to have my dad serving his country with an honor.

I flew as a sensor operator in P-3B and C mod Orions at Barbers Point, HI from 1977-91; My first P-3 Squadron was VP-6 did a tour with Wing Two then flew with VP-1 followed by second tour at Wing Two. I took my grandkids up to VP-1 now at NAS Whidbey Is. WA. Got them a tour of a P-3. Only thing familiar was the flight station NAVCOM Station and Sensor 3 Station; I had flown as a Sensor one, that station is now radically different as shown in this video. Cool video though. VP-1 is the only Command that I served in the Navy with that still exists.
