    I have owned my 2021 Yukon Denali for a year and I love it!! I was very surprised to learn about the very low reliability rating and all the issues many owners have experienced. Thankfully my particular truck hasn’t had any recalls and everything works well. I hope I don’t have any issues in the future 🤞🏼🤞🏼 The GM warranty is no longer great like it was years ago. I considered upgrading to the 22 bc I love the digital dash but I don’t want to risk getting a faulty truck so I’d rather keep mine. Love it!!

      Nancy your Yukon Denali is a reliable unit for sure as for the warranty GM warranty very much takes care of customers. It is unfortunate right now that parts are taking so long to come in but shortages like this is wide spread in all industries right now. I'm glad your loving it.

    8 open recalls on the 2021. Class action lawsuit on the 5.3, 6.0 & 6.2 engines for the lifter fails. Hope GM has addressed these issues for the ‘22 models.

      atleast they got a recall lol , the ram 5.7 has been having those problems for the last 10 years. As a mechanic I work on ram engines the most. They always start ticking early

      Hey Mike I'll try and comment without sounding like a GM Fanboy, lol, or a dink this might be hard! Firstly recalls don't have anything to do with reliability for example the redesigned 2013 Ford Escape had 9 fire related engine recalls in the first 12 months but history has proved it to be a good overall SUV with good reliability. Also think of your Phone or your Computer it is constantly getting updates aka recalls to fix holes or vulnerabilities that could put you at risk for financial or identity theft these fixes are a good thing. Recalls are a good thing!
      When it comes to class action lawsuits I'm sorry to say in the USA you could be a cashier at Target and sneeze on someone and the next thing you know the 30 people around you in other tills are banding together with a class action lawsuit against Target...its quite ridiculous. The VAST MAJORITY of lawsuits mean nothing more than people are trying to be opportunistic.
      As for lifter problems you bet a minor number of GM 5.3L and 6.2L engines have had lifter problems but overwhelmingly this is not the norm. You don't have to listen to me but if you listen to any expert from any Car Magazine, Car Host from Discovery Channel or Jay Leno you should know that there is no more reliable engine on the market than a Naturally Aspirated V8 Engine with our 6.2L being tops and our 5.3L and Fords 5.0L, 5.2L, 6.2L and Rams 5.7L and 6.2L all being good engines with far less problems than smaller displacement turbo engines.
      As for what has caused the lifter problem GM has identified various reasons for this including faulty valve springs, AFM Active Fuel Management problems and misfiring issues could lead to a failed lifter. As for the 6.0L I have never done a lifter for a number of years the 6.0L it is a workhorse and incredibly reliable its just not good on fuel.
      Lastly you can bet that the engineers at GM are working on what has caused some of these lifter issues and they will take care of their customers.

      Most recalls are a lawyer driven nonsense anyway my Toyotas and Hondas always have recalls for nonsense like the spare tire might fall off if you live in a part of the country with salted roads and cause a safety hazard this has happened to no one to our knowledge blah blah blah. I mean come on with the recall line already. Recalls used to be serious stuff but that was before the 2000s

    Technology certainly has changed since my 2002 Chevy Tahoe LS days. I would have liked to seen the window sticker on both vehicles, especially the 2022 model. That outdoor temperature reading on the 2022 model; was that temperature reading on the dash in C or F? Nice video btw.

    Very reliable vehicle I spent 85K$ car and after 3K miles I failed complete the engine while I was at the Keys for vacation due to the lifter issue that of course any dealer will keep the secret in the pocket. Yes very reliable the 6.2 l, way to go GMC. They did the right thing with me because I forced them to replace the whole engine instead to repair, unfortunately they pick the wrong guy with a mechanical degree. The quality I received on changing the engine was just a disaster, I turn to GMC a 3 month old brand new vehicle and they turned me a vehicle that was look like a 4 years old. Probably the "mechanic" that he did the work was pulling milk from a cow the day before. At the very last once the car was ready and delivered to me, I just run the car to the first traffic light but, unfortunately, I had to literally jump out from the car due to the smoke that was coming out from the air con ventilation, GMC forgot to tight the alternator positive cable and I burned half of the engine wiring harness. I do not want to talk about the internal condition of the car, black and grease fingerprint all over the place and scratches. Sorry but when you said reliable vehicle I lost my blood pressure control. To all of the customer that they will have a lifter problem, ASK TO CHANGE THE ENGINE and not to repair it. GMC give me an extra warranty of 100.000 miles or 5 years to keep the car. Up today after 10K miles on the new engine the car is not give me any problem, for now lol.

      @WesternGMDrumheller  Před 2 lety

      Hey Simone I'm sorry you had a major mechanical problem with your vehicle. If I take you at your word it sounds to me like your problem was COMPLETELY fumbled by the dealer that did your work and I would recommend dealing with a different dealer because these trucks and engines are know to be reliable for sure my friend.

    • @TaylorSwiftLover-l7x
      @TaylorSwiftLover-l7x Před 2 lety +1

      I'm in agreement with you Sir, I was not afraid for the engine failure but for all the "things around" that happened, and especially how they deliver the car to me, I have a vibration when the gear shift at 2000 RPM where GMC is keeping telling me that they cannot feel. Well I'm driving this car every day and I know each single noise before and after the failure. I do not want to say the dealer name but this is for the community, please open the hood every time they service you vehicle and check. Since then I'm the only one I touch my vehicle unless I have a recall. I'm a GMC customer and I will continue to buy GMC, next time I will go with the Duramax lol

    I see that the 2022 has the 20 inch wheels. Will 22 inch wheels change the way it handles, can you tell the difference? I also noticed that the 2022 infotainment system does not have navigation, is it different for the 2022?

    • @WesternGMDrumheller
      @WesternGMDrumheller  Před 2 lety +2

      Generally speaking a 20" Wheel will have a slightly softer ride especially when it comes to bumpy or rough roads. This is even more noticeable at temps below -5 Celsius. A 22" Wheel will have slightly better handling.

      I always laugh when critics keep trying to diss something the public absolutely loves. Those who first buy a Yukon, Tahoe, Yukon XL or Suburban keep buying them again and again and again. Once you go big, you never go back. Reminds me of Rolling Stones magazine's negative review of the Beatles' Abby Road album . . . simply laughing all the way to the bank!

      Dealer tradisional semakin jarang bekerja akhir-akhir ini. Produsen ingin menjual langsung ke pelanggan seperti Tesla yang memotong dealer keluar dari persamaan. Lebih sedikit dealer berarti lebih sedikit pusat layanan yang berarti pengalaman layanan yang lebih lama dan lebih mahal.
