    This kind of mining is often a family affair and it really means a lot to the family budget especially now that the price of gold is high.

    these miners earn $4 a day , the average wage is $3.15 a day!, so these guys are infact doing very well!. earning 1/4 more than the average person!.

    That's capitalism, baybee - if you read some US history of the labour movement, stuff like this and wayyyy worse was routine up until the 30s. Hell just look up the Battle of Blair Mountain - which was an open industrial military conflict between labour and capital forces in West Virginia. We're talking modern machine guns, air support, all that jazz.

    Sad the way they choose to destroy the Garden that feed us all! This is the reason I dont wear any gold, or stones. To me a tree is worth more than all the gold in the world. In the net you can find pictures of a pristine forest in Brazil, fluvial gold was found, and the pictures the way people left those woods after brakes your heart! We can not eat gold!
