    In this review of iFit, I go over our team’s thoughts on this popular training platform found on equipment from NordicTrack, ProForm, FreeMotion, and Matrix. iFit offers a wide variety of fitness classes led by knowledgeable instructors. There are currently 17,000 on-demand workouts and counting and over 180 trainers.
    iFit workouts are filmed indoors in professional studios and outdoors in locations all around the world. The indoor classes are modeled after in-person boutique studio fitness classes where a camera is pointed at the instructor and oftentimes there are people in the background taking the workout in person.
    The outdoor classes are what really sets iFit apart from other training platforms. The workouts are literally filmed on every continent. During the outdoor workouts, a camera follows the instructor as they guide you up mountains, across lakes, and through cities. iFit is available on enabled equipment like treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals, and rowers. There are also mat classes like strength training, yoga, and guided meditations. You’re literally able to train your entire body and mind with iFit.
    iFit does require a subscription to use. It’s available for an additional price on enabled fitness equipment. There is also an iFit App to use on your device or smart TV. This way, if you’re traveling you can still train or if you have a non-enabled piece of fitness equipment from another brand, you can still follow along with iFit’s instructors for guided workouts.
    iFit has some impressive features like the Google Map feature where you can draw your own routes to explore areas all over the world on your own. The enabled equipment also automatically adjusts during iFit workouts for hands-free training based on your workout history with AutoAdjust or to keep you within a set target heart rate zone with ActivePulse.
    One area where we’d like to see some improvement with iFit is the music. Currently, it plays in the background kind of like a radio with different stations that each have preset playlists of songs. It would be nice if some of the indoor classes had music integrated into them to help add to the overall intensity.
    Overall, we love iFit for its variety and features. We highly recommend checking it out, especially if it is available to stream on your fitness machine.

    Alex Gregory is a great beginner’s coach. I’m 62 and out of shape but he is a very upbeat and interesting coach. Great starter workout. I love it.

    The search is horrible, I can’t find any of the workouts mentioned in the review or comments. Any suggestions?

    Very good review thank you. I got the X22i nordic track because of your great review. I needed a cushy treadmill due to exertional compartment syndrome in my lower legs (akin to very bad shinsplints). I am new to IFIt. Yes it does shudder maybe once or twice during a workout, but not enough to distract me., it picks back up quickly. I would add that if you follow the trainer, be prepared for changes in speed and incline. This scared me at first, because the trainer may not prompt you and you feel unstable. Of course, you can easily turn the feature off. I like to preview the workout speed/incline high/lows to see if I can tolerate. Maybe ifit can better categorize the workouts, i find I spend upwards of 15min looking for what I wanna do. Agree the outdoor workouts are preferable to indoor.

      Thanks for watching and sharing your experience! I agree with categorizing the workouts, sometimes it can take a while to find the one you want to do. Enjoy your treadmill and iFit!

    Good review. That Google maps feature will be amazing in a few years. They can probably make it fluid video with Artificial intelligence soon.

      Thanks for watching! Yes, it will be interesting to see how AI is implemented on fitness equipment in the future.

    I have the treadmill with Ifit pro, so far its ok. My major issues at the moment are the screen controls, I cannot get the thing to recognize my input, I tap on it over and over and its hard to get it to enter. There is no way to calibrate this that I can see. The wifi is slow so it causes jitteriness. I would like to see them allow you to play your music thru machine and maybe other options from users.

    It's a shame that iFit lose their Live Events and Live Studios Workouts.

    The treadmill worked for 9 days, and 6 weeks later still trying to get them to fix it.

    I had iFit a while ago and I feel like I remember there being video in the create workout with maps but I just signed back up and it seems like it’s just a series of pictures now and not video. Did they change this or am I just remembering incorrectly? Will they eventually be changing it to video?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  Před 2 měsíci

      I think you might be remembering wrong? For that integration they will just continue using Google Maps which is just the series of pictures. We think it would be nice if they included a series of scenic workouts that aren't trainer lead, would be a nice addition.

    Thank you. Great review. I agree about the music, it's very poor and if you're doing a studio class, it doesn't sync with the type of class you're doing. I really wish iFit would sort this out, especially now they also no longer offer any live content. I've been a member for a while now and currently have my membership on pause because of the music issue (I believe in the UK we have fewer options than users in the States). I tried using my own music, but that comes with its own problems for syncing and volume balance. My view would be if you just want (or mainly want) outdoor classes/scenic rides or hikes then it's fine, but if you want to do a good number of studio classes, you might find that the music (an FM radio station for independent artists - no chart music or well known bands/singers) doesn't motivate you and this may become a problem over time (as it has for me)

    The videos are shuddering on the screen. Is that always the case ?

    • @ellie-aka-sirenusvex
      @ellie-aka-sirenusvex Před 5 měsíci

      Sometimes, yes. Some of the older videos (based on my experience) can be a bit 'glitchy')

      Shuddering? What does that actually mean in relation to the treadmill? The monitor is physically shaking? The video feed is shaky?

    • @user-qq6rr3hw8o
      @user-qq6rr3hw8o Před 21 dnem

      I think it is associated with lag from net? Maybe try a lower res setting to see if that fixes. I see what you are saying and mine is in basement on high rez so I get some jitteriness.
