From what I know about Jung is not that he only dabbled in Alchemy and Freemasonry, he was heavily interested in the occult and esoteric teachings. Supposedly a lot of his ideas came through communication with certain entitites. I don't know what was his method for establishing that communication, but Jung was for sure more of an occultist and a magician than a scientist and a researcher.

There is without a doubt that Jung was heavily versed in occult and kabbalistic texts and ways of thinking . From his knowledge of nuanced kabbalistic and Hebrew terminology and context , in particular in his later life his visions of the garden of pomegranates as mentioned in “The Red Book” . Or his very apparent knowledge of alchemical and hermetic concepts and his seamless integration of them into modern psychology . Just the way his brain formed ideas screams familiarity with the occult , the spirit world and the shadow of self. That he has family lines to secret societies only provide further evidences and correlations. Whatever one may feel about secret societies and their checkered and shrouded history Carl Jung definitely left an amazing impression and impact on the modern psychological world view and is a direct source from the mainstream world directly into the shadow world of the deeper archetypes of the soul and shadow into the collective unconscious and I can only tip my hat to that

This is why Freemasons have a compass and a square (two dimensional representation of a pyramid) and the Washington Monument is a 555 ft tall Obelisk in honor of the master mason. The Statue of Liberty (actually a statue of Isis) is famously designed by the two Masons Bartholdi and Eiffel (the Eiffel Tower another takeoff of pyramidal design which stands in the city of Paris which means For Isis). The statue is a monument of the victory of the Templar Masons (NWO colonist leadership-see Washington obelisk) over the Monarchy in England (old world order). There were only a select amount of people who actually succeeded in the creation of the philosopher's stone, and even then we don't know for sure if they really did. This is because to achieve the creation of the stone you have to go through immense spiritual journeying, torture and ego dissolution, and even then it may not be enough if your intent is even slightly ill. Some of Jung's thoughts seem to be very subjective and personal ways to structure the themes of the conscious mind/body/soul, but his understanding of duality/union/non-duality and such are awesome. Portrayed in clunky math poetry, 0 and infinity are the same entity, the paradoxical union of opposites that is necessary and embedded in life's evolution. Being able to stay respected in the harsh academic lens of the Scientific community while also addressing mythology religion and self-realization was an incredible feat. Thank you Dr. Jung.

Such a relief to the soul to come across an intelligent channel! When the more intelligent class of men, even in this dark age assemble together, we can only pray that their works are for the benefit of the soul, individual and collective. In recent years we might conclude that this is no longer the case and the so-called intelligent class of men have degraded to the lower realms. We can understand, however, that Carl Jung, coming from a strong ancestral line in his time, would have certainly had the association of Masons and possibly other secret society members as his influences and confidantes. Whether he was an active member doesn't seem to be so important I feel and possibly he even maintained a respectful distance. Whatever is the case, my feeling is that he perfected his life opportunity by surrendering to the work, for the benefit of those who find the strength within themselves to access it. God is great! Let us all awaken!

Thank you. As a student of Jungian thought and a Freemason, I have often been perplexed why Jungian scholars have not given more attention to the relationship between Jung’s psychology and the Craft. If you decide to expand upon this work, I suggest that you might want to explore the parallels between the Masonic symbolism of the pillars and Jung’s concept of holding the tension between the opposites. The three degree structure of becoming a Master Mason can also be seen to correspond to the principal stages of alchemical transformation. The Masonic symbol of the Winding Stairs could be see as an image of Jung’s concept’s of integration and individuation. Whether there is a direct lineal connection between the Craft and Jung or not, the similarities appear to give some credence to Jung’s postulation of a collective unconscious.

I think his main influence was the alchemical aspects of the biblical and other scriptures and texts that he investigated with great vigour. He also had a spiritually advanced lady friend that often pointed him in the right direction. It is clear that he was also on his own spiritual journey, although he did not complete it during his lifetime. Academia and academic thought can often get in the way of a free flowing Spirit working with Spirit for the advancement and evolution of the soul. During its purification and the merging with the Spirit completely. His work is influential in many different ways due to him documenting his journey for academics to consider. However, at the end of his life he did say that he wished that he had spent his life studying mysticism and alchemy for it is obvious that it was there that he found far more answers to his questions and his own evolution. He had a comprehension of the rite of passage and some of its initiations, although not all of them, his spiritual journey was cut short for reasons already explained. A person cannot teach what they did not experience for themselves.

I believe that he was in connection with the great Unknown, in a deep and conscious way. This is the key in my opinion.
Him being influenced or not by any body of work, is not that relevant.
Influence of The Great Work over a man that lacks depth in his inner life, to sustain and use that influence, means little to nothing.

This (truly interesting) analysis is lacking a major aspect: probably the 80% of wealthy/intellectuals/artist/politicians of the times were masons, so it's not a big surprise that also Jung took some inspiration from the very extensive literature present in that context.

    • @danilocaposeno
      @danilocaposeno Před rokem

@@captaindiabetes4244 It's logical if you think about it, masonry (unlike today) was born with the purpose of freeing people from the oppressive power of the monarchy and the temporal power of the roman church , through "illuministic" principles of reason and equality (that's where the ILLUMINATI thing came from). So all the ideals that the founding fathers had, were anti-monarchy from the start, the rebellion against the english crown was the logical conclusion, just like it happened in the French Revolution.
Today Masonry is one of the expressions of the "new power" born from that time period, but it became decadent and corrupt as the power they once fought.
In the end power (just like time) is cyclical.

I don't think he was a mason persay, but he was definitely inspired by Rosicrucian ideas and may have read masonic texts, I'm currently reading through the red book and in my opinion, the way it's reading feels like his journey of the knowledge and conversation of the holy guardian angel. Especially as it comes to incantations and specific ritual instructions that he probably carried out to continue his process.

I am wondering about the question and curiosity on whether Jung was a Freemason or not. I feel that people often are far too focused on finding "demons" in the closet and when they do, they entirely dismiss the magnificent work that this soul has brought to humanity. I know this is a weakness of those who hail from a Christian background and are always looking for where the devil lurks around the corner to deceive. If that is you, you should look into the work of Carl Jung even more so, to help you understand how your psyche/Soul functions.
And as far as the word "occult" is concerned, let me remind you that Jesus Christ was a notorious occultist... for he only spoke in parables or mysteries. We need to stop being so afraid of everything and try to understand instead.

Extremely interesting materials, thank you for sharing. You asked what your audience thinks, so this is what the uninitiated and largely ignorant me thinks.
Umm… I am not terribly impressed, to be honest (to put it very politely). Firstly, there are lots of circular arguments and appeals to authority and tradition.
The archetype business (even literal very lucrative business for the psychotherapeutic elitist guild)… I am wondering about their universality. I believe that they are primarily culturally created, reinforced, and passed down the generations as genetic memories and traditions. You cannot have a control group (e.g. an individual abandoned after birth in the jungle and raised by snakes, whose progeny is isolated and raised by snakes without human contact, repeat for several generations) to see if those individuals have the same archetypal structure either manifest or not, and whether social and cultural deprivation has an impact. I doubt that in that particular situation there would be even a Mother or Father archetype, let alone something more elaborate. I cannot resist the temptation of hypothesising about how such a person’s psyche would fold and unfold of raised by snakes. Or bees.
Secondly, I am not impressed by the highly individualistic nature of such self- professed enlightenment. And I’m not sure that it’s true enlightenment, really. Being versed in the occult and rubbing shoulders with one’s mates in your secret boys club pulling all sorts of strings doesn’t quite fit my definition of being enlightened. Which kinda brings me onto the most important point.
I see that the Freemasons joined everybody else’s looting of Ancient Egypt (the shendyt apron, the pyramid(ion), the plumb line, the Eye of Horus, cosmogonies, etc). Like all the others, they were not interested in stealing Maat, too. I would like to remind everybody that the fundamental role of any legitimate ruler was and is ensuring the wellbeing of the people. I visited the Masonic Temple in London and I swear that I hadn’t seen so many golden watches and expensive suits with fashion- matching shoes in my whole life! Hardly surprising, given that I’ve lived all my life amongst the unwashed mobs who are kept like animals- uneducated, hungry, and ill. I could not find any evidence of application of Maat there. None. Therefore, the misappropriation of Egyptian regalia is nothing more than an attempt at usurpation. Would Jung, Paracelsus, and Plato help any Freemason to survive the flooded Osireion or make lighter their heart when weighed against the feather? I seriously doubt it.
Even their books full of magic and lies say that you know one by their fruits. I’ve seen the evidence firsthand. And to say that I am not impressed would be a major understatement. I am polite, so I will not conclude with the words of any of those neglected and forgotten of the world who would utter a raw and naive, though accurate, verdict ‘Get the f*uck out of here with your posh sh*t’.
    I rest my case.
