Managing by using fear/threats to get obedience is a very bad way to manage. The more nervous and anxious the employee feels, the more mistakes he/she makes.
Definitely agree especially if they are going through something or are not feeling well too also I tried to remain focused but if I need help I will let my coworkers if I get this could you please bring this box vice versa
What the French. This mansger is something else . The way he yelled at Emily in front of the customer was totally uncalled for. He could of wanted and pulled her aside . Then said something to her .
What a horrible way the manager treated Emily. Emily explained everything to the CEO lady and was professional the entire time. Say goodbye Sam, and there's no rats at the back!
I have worked in a Restaurant and few staff members use to treat me like dirt and embarrass me in front of diners and staff use to that deliberately to me.Thats why now I gave up working with toxic people in these environments
That Manager, good riddens and the heck with him. If, short staffed the Manager needs to help and be understanding. Emily was nervous and messing up because Manager was pressuring her. What a jerk, Manager was saying about being rude to a Customer and than fired her. I'm glad, Manager got fired and got karma so yay! the big boss Lady was there for sure.
While it was horrible the way that manager treated Emily, anyone in the culinary business, if having long hair, should have it tied back so it doesn't touch any food or kitchen equipment.
Emily was elderly, made the customer wait and had dressing down verbally!!! Her other colleague didn't know she was undercover to catch out this vile, unprofessional manager!!! He now threatened to fire her unaware of who she really is!!! Sam is the one getting the ax, he is too toxic!!! Say goodbye, Sam, Miranda fired you!!!
Exactly! I'm still waiting for a video where the rude manager learns their lesson. Getting mad after you get fired and saying "This place sucks anyway" doesn't sound like learning your lesson to me.
I love the Undercover CEO nailing these rude managers! Great actors simulating some real life situations faced by employees who are powerless to stand up to their managers.
And with that, Emily's integrity and compassion impressed Ms. Clarkson so much, that she was promoted to manager with a salary raise and a $25,000 check. It was enough to care for her baby, and keep her house. As for the rude manager, HR told him that he's publicly forbidden to manage in workplaces ever again due to his arrogant overbearing ego. He efforts to find another job were fruitless due to his overheated personality. After months of being unemployed, he lost his house to foreclosure, and had no place to go other than the homeless shelter.
Man, I just love how the bad person in these videos learn their lesson at the end. Yes, I am being sarcastic. A typical ending to a Supermission video: Customer turns out to be CEO of the company, fires rude employee, rude employee gets all mad and throws and insults the business and storms out. Where is the part where the rude manager "learns their lesson"? Because so far, I haven't seen it anywhere. A better ending will be him trying to find a job and ending up bussing tables at a restaurant and having to deal with a manager who treats him even worse than the way he treated Emily. Then you can say he learned his lesson.
(slaps the manager) That was for expecting perfection from your waitress and forbidding harmless little exceptions! (slaps him) For reprimanding her in front of customers! (slaps him) For questioning her ability to do anything right! (slaps him) For berating her over every mistake regardless of how little it is! (chokes him) THAT WAS JUST FOR FIRING HER FOR ONE ACCIDENT! (breaks his arms) FOR YELLING AT HER IN FRONT OF YOUR GUEST! (punches him) FOR MOCKING HER SORROW! (chokes him) FOR TAKING NO PITY ON HER! (punches him) FOR CALLING HER PATHETIC JUST FOR BEGGING, WHICH IS *YOUR* FAULT! (punches his mouth) FOR DENYING FAULT IN HER POTENTIAL INABILITY TO HANDLE RESPONSIBILITIES, WHICH IS YOUR FAULT FOR BERATING HER! (punches him in the mouth) FOR LAUGHING AT HER PLIGHT! (kicks him) FOR CURSING AT THE CUSTOMER AND TELLING *HER* TO LEAVE! (chokes him again) FOR YELLING TO EVERYONE ELSE THAT THERE ARE RATS IN THE RESTAURANT JUST BECAUSE YOU WERE FAIRLY FIRED! (punches him all over) ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?! WELL, PARDON ME FOR BEING FAIR?! WHAT?! YOU WANT AN APOLOGY?! FINE! I'M SORRY! YA HAPPY NOW?! WELL, I'M SORRY YOU'RE TOO MUCH OF A (bleep) TO DESERVE ANY SINCERE APOLOGIES! EVER! (kicks him and leaves him)
I have worked with some really great managers over the years in jobs one of them I even dated they care about their employees and their not always sitting in the office doing nothing they have one of the hardest jobs hiring and firing people and keeping the company together there the ones who get all the crap when it goes wrong respect to all managers out there.
Nope. Some managers are shit and certain managers I would tell them that directly if I ever had the opportunity to do so. Therefore they deserve no respect or appreciation.
He wasn't a good manager so he deserved to be fired I would have done the same if I was the ceo and the waitress deserves the promotion she would make a better manager

Managers need to get off of their asses and help out when it is busy.
Emily was professional the whole time she dealt with the customer so it's good to see she was not fired

Being too soft and lenient is not good either.
A lot os incompetent managers like him.
@@jeffreyconner2937 there has to be a balance
A manager is supposed to help and being loyal to their employees, not treating them badly or pressuring them from their work.
What the French. This mansger is something else . The way he yelled at Emily in front of the customer was totally uncalled for. He could of wanted and pulled her aside . Then said something to her .

@@paulawalton4480 ahaha true 😂😂
So supportive management helps businesses succeed... not just fast service
The workers are nervous, around that abusive manager good ridden, 😅
I always love these undercover CEO videos
This is just acting. Not real.
Undercover Bosses are always on the case
I know the acting’s not the best, but these situations are genuine and do happen in real life. Well done to them for highlighting them 👍🏼
That's true but I would prefer to watch Undercover Boss and it's real, not full of bad actors.
I have worked in a Restaurant and few staff members use to treat me like dirt and embarrass me in front of diners and staff use to that deliberately to me.Thats why now I gave up working with toxic people in these environments
I am sorry you had it so bad. I was blessed. In the places I worked I had good bosses and employees that I knew and liked.
That is awful. I'm glad you got out of there!!

I think its very demeaning for the CEO to keep calling her "dear". She has a name

Oh, he'll probably go find a job at another restaurant where he'll treat the people just as bad.
In job try to be polite and respectful to all for you will have something in return if not greater.Happy Wensenday and God bless.
People don't leave bad jobs,... they leave bad management!
True
We're all human and we're born to make mistakes. What made that manager so special?
They're not special. They just think they are until someone puts them in their place.
I'd like to see Supermission make a Comedy movie based on this story someday
I thought they had already, it seemed to me to be well over the top
There's only one person in that restaurant and no one else and just two people running the place.
Um, it’s a spoof
Typical attitude of one after they've been fired from their job: *"This place is awful!"*
And yet they work there😂
Exactly! I'm still waiting for a video where the rude manager learns their lesson. Getting mad after you get fired and saying "This place sucks anyway" doesn't sound like learning your lesson to me.
I was expecting the grovelling apology from the rude Manager and the 'excuses' to start rolling out.

Get that annoying music off you can't hear the people talking Its ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤨😐

The voice of the CEO is like nails on a chalk board terrible I could not sit through her running a meeting.
I worked for a gruff district manager. I would have put axle grease on his door handle if the cameras were disabled long enough.
I agree the acting was lacking, however, it appears to be a training video made by non professional actors, and the message came thru loud and clear
