That is really nice, but for $400 I’ll just stick to what’s always worked.
I wanted to come back to this comment. I installed a factory set of latches in a 72 today and it doesn't work that great. Swapped it out for another Tre 5 kit. Worth every penny in my opinion.

Interesting mechanism but I am waiting for electric open kit, after I cut, spread, weld the tail light pocket as my GM Auth tail gate is 3/16” thicker on the top 8” of the passenger side. It looks like it’s not fully shut! Yeah, more unnecessary work.
It is almost as fun as having a police helicopter fly over you house at 3AM every night for two years. But, I am trying hard to develop a “Home Root Canal” DIY kit. It is fun too!

I was ready to order a kit until I saw the price tag...😳😳😳...my old latches worked fine ever since my dad bought the truck new in 1969...I'll stick with those...looks nice though...but not that nice...

It also completely drowned out the sounds of the tailgate latches latching & releasing...I'd actually prefer to hear that, & the tools & shop sounds than any music at all...
