- Hello friends! In today’s video, I wanted to show you the process of how I did these extensive prom dress alterations. I took the dress in at the back with zipper and it also had a godet sewn in the hem. I hope you find this video useful and if so, please don’t forget to like, comment, share, and subscribe! Your support means the world to me!!

I'm so happy that we got to see it on your customer! Thank you!
Thanks 🥰
You did a good job of explaining. That turned out so well.
There’s just so many layers of same colour fabric, lining, zip & thread that its hard to actually see. You need to do a pretend one with black lace, white lining, green zip & orange thread! It can be a halloween horror story, zombie prom or something! 😜
Yes! I'll definitely have to do it again this way 🥰🥰🥰
I may alter a dress with very minimal changes now and then, but I know something you have done on each video will help me. Thank you very much for making all the tutorials. 💕💃🏻
Thanks so much for all your support 💞💞💕

I’m starting my own alterations business and I refer to your videos any time I need help.
11:03 this is so clever! long dresses can be so hard to walk in, that alternation makes soo much sense
Thank you! My favorite part was the zipper trick. It definitely looks much better and less bulky.
Thanks 🥰
I am very impressed with your videos. I love this alteration but noticed the amount of work you had to put in to make the perfect finished. Fantastic! Keep up the good work and I wish you were in my country to help me.🤗🤗👍

I would love to see how you did the bustles next time you need to do those.
🥰🥰🥰
Wondered why, or missed the why, not take up the side seams? Instead of the zipper and moving the godet. I’m not officially in alterations, but the granddaughter and her friends have had several crises needing adjustments with bridesmaid dresses. So kinda familiar.
Hi! This is a great question. In fact you can take in at the sides too. But in this case, you'll have to deal with two godets instead of one. At the same time, you miss the opportunity to make a really nice back curve that gives to the dress a certain touch. I'd say that in this case it would be a matter of preference and desired results. You should have seen me jumping from the back to the sides when pining. It took me a few minutes to take the decision! Cheers 🙂
Wonderful alteration, being honest I got the zipper part but the godet not so much. 😅😊
Thanks 🥰 I kind of new it. Too much info for one video. I'll have to go through both concepts again. Cheers 🙂
@@DowntownTailoring thank you for being kind and understanding. You are an awesome person. 🥰
Where can I get a foot like that? I have the narrow one, but this one looks like it would work much better. Thanks , you are very helpful to me!
Oh! Yes. It's more solid. I got it on Amazon. Good luck!
wow
She looks amazing in the dress. And you altered it to fit her so well. But as pointed out by another with everything the same color it was difficult to follow exactly where you were marking, moving, and sewing. I think I understood the zipper, and maybe the lining sewn to the zipper??? But I was totally lost with the godet. Could be because it has been since 1968 that I have sewn a godet, and the pattern gave excellent step by step instructions. Wish I still had that pattern. You do excellent work, and try so hard to educate and improve the skills of your viewers.
Thanks so much 🥰 I definitely will have to do this step by step with different colors!
where do you find the video on the bustle you said at the end and shorting dress with horsehair can you give me the links please
❤
Great job.❤❤ If you don't mind please tell me, How much do you charge for that.
I don't remember. But I think it was a little less than 200 CAD. I have a video about pricing. You can use it to guide you through your own. Cheers 😊
What is the name of the person of the video. I want to see more
