- The recent Nintendo Direct blew the lid off Super Mario Maker 2 and caused host Chris Slate to flip his lid! Chris is joined by Nintendo of America’s Stephanie Palermo to discuss the game’s newly revealed features and what they mean for aspiring makers. Then, Capcom’s Mike Lunn invites the duo to Capcom HQ in San Francisco to talk about the trio of Resident Evil remakes hitting Nintendo Switch on May 21. The group also recommends games they’ve been playing, reads fans’ comments about their favorite Capcom classics, takes the Warp Zone quiz and discusses cool upcoming games!

Same here. Now if they revealed a Super Metroid Maker with NES, SNES, GB, GBA, and 3DS graphical styles, I would lose it.
we are getting so many additions to MM2 that i can't really complain but here are a few things I hope the devs at least consider for future DLC: The Koopalings, Reznor, Frog Suit, Hammer Suit, Tanooki Suit, Flying Squirrel suit (cuz that is THE power up for New Super Mario Bros. U, the propeller hat is THE power up of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, just saying), let us change the Hammer Bros into Fireball Bros like in SMB3, the floating orbs from SMB3, the falling spikes from the ghost castles from SMB3, Doom Tank/Doom Boat Levels like in SMB3 Dark World 8 there was an awesome tank level then an awesome Boat on Dirty water level where you could actually swim under the boats if you wanted and finally one day it would be cool to be able to create worlds for MM2 like in all the SMB games ever be able to create worlds with like 4-5 levels plus ghost house and castle. Anyone have anything else i missed that would be good for the game as DLC later on?

@@orphandenier4786 a few seconds in the direct it was showing a multi character tracking camera.
Some people think it might be single screen multiplayer of some sort, perhaps test mode for when two people edit at the same time
My annoyance with online being required for local multi system multiplayer, is for when servers eventually die, we loose that mode...
On the website it shows you can play with 4 people with tv and table top mode offline. Each player uses 1 joycon or it’s compatible with pro controller. There are several options for single and multiplayer in every mode
Check Spawn wave or GameXplain, they say there is good evidence for it

I wish Nintendo would add a online live multi player race mode to Mario Odyssey, where you could race your friends to be the first one to capture a specific moon, or the first to capture any 10 moons in one kingdom, or fastest to find all the purple coins in a kingdom, etc.

I loved the Nintendo direct a couple days ago! I would also love quicksand in desert themes, more themes (volcano, beach, mountain, and underground volcano, desert, and ice), and more power ups and more enemies in the main 4 styles (pokey, charging chuck, swooper, spike, fire and boomerang bro, scuttlebug, etc.)
Mario Maker 2 is my favorite game ever and it’s not even out yet.

Disappointing! Resident Evil 4 has no gyro control on Switch. RE 4 on Wii with motion control was the best. Was hoping to play the HD version with motion control on Switch but Capcom didn't add anything unique to the switch and also overcharged for the exact same game available on other consoles.

Thinking about it, Capcom is only surpassed by Nintendo by the variety of successful franchises it has. Mega Man, Ghosts and Goblins, Street Fighter 2, Final Fight, Breath of Fire, Duck Tales and the Disney games, Resident Evil, Ace Attorney, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, Okami and tons of one off games like Ghost Trick. Sure other publishers have lots of beloved games, but to be successful in a variety of genres is a lot tougher.

Rabbit hole branding is sort of an interesting way to kind of co-op accessibility so that all gamers can at the end of the day basically jump in at any point with options allowing maybe less experienced gamers to (spoilers!) sort of the old guard on the message boards are impactful as commonality between synergy for all ages it is what it is.
