The paint correction has returned this car to looking like new. You are a mster of your craft Bill when preparing cars for sale. I hope it does well for you in the bidding.
thats funny I think the youtube guy from Curious cars bought that car Just watched his video yesterday. I see you have a Cadillac Eldorado there Love that car.
I'd recommend a few things for the new owner. Throw the lean burn in the trash, along with the feed-back carb. FBO ignition makes a very high quality conversion distributor & box. There are no parts available nor techs that will touch archaic electronics. Edelbrock Performer intake & carb- the danger with the original? The old gaskets, floats & seals are not only old, but they are not resistant to the ethanol in the vast majority of gasoline out there and are a serious fire hazard. The Y-pipe has cats on both sides that plug up. Walker 40430 bolts right in (if you can find one), or pull it and have an exhaust shop build one. Those changes alone boost the reliability and drivability of these old M-bodies
Thank you!!! I have a 78 NY'r with lean burn. I want it off because it is a higher mile car and it's older. Can't keep the car running. What is the process to remove?
No, the Fifth Avenue that Bill from Curious Cars purchased is a 1989, which happens to be the same color as this 1988. You can tell the difference by the steering wheels; the '89 has the larger airbag cover that was standard for that year. The '88 would have had that steering wheel if it was manufactured after April of 1988.
Chrysler did make some ugly cars and this is no exception. These cars were nothing but trouble when they were built Chrysler mechanics hated to work on these cars because Chrysler Corps paid very little for warranty work they were trying to compete with Cadillac and Lincoln but did not succeed this is the basic cop car with leather and power windows
Or you could have kept your negative opinion to yourself. Weren't you taught if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all? You think it is ugly, fine, I don't care. Many of us LOVE this car, and funny how here we are 36 years later and the car is still here and running like a champ.
Beautiful classic I love it. great short video review. stunning.
Thank you!
I love this Chrysler! Beautiful!
I appreciate it!
My dad had a 1986 Chrysler Fifth Avenue edition. I cried when he let it go. I love this car
Oh nooooo!!! This will be on Bring a Trailer very soon. It should be relatively affordable, maybe you should buy it??
Great car, very reliable engine, super comfy seats, and people WILL look at you when you drive by.
Indeed!
Rollin' in Grove street with this one
@@danajohnston6661 Nice!
@@danajohnston6661 Lol
The police used the Dodge Diplomat same platform very reliable.
I had a 1985, which is the same car, and loved it. What a gorgeous car.
Thanks!
I used to love these! I had a friend who had one. Great cushy ride like a small Cadillac. I’d drive this everyday if I could, don’t laugh.
Hey, it shouldn't be terribly expensive!! Try to bid on it!

FBO ignition out of Oregon has great product, support & instruction. Better than what "Mopar (un) Perfomance" is foistong out@@christianbugatticg
@christianbugatticg FBO ignition has a good quality kit, clear instructions, and good customer service
Nice oldie! 👏🏼💯
Thanks!
It's a modern oldie, so it won't have the reliability issues of old cars, and yet it looks classic. These are the kind of cars people should get.
Car looks great, have you done the interior video yet? I am only getting about 70 percent or less on notifications.
Yes that video is made too. I hate you don't get all notifications!
@@christianbugatticg No worries
Currently on eBay is a set of stainless steel vent shades/ rain deflectors for this car. 6/20/24
Oh cool. Thanks!
I bought one brand new in 1984. $10,500. I could have had a Cadillac for this price.
Seems like a reasonable price. I suspect it's worth more today.
Bill likes it
Thanks!
Okay but…. Let’s see that Firebird?!!!!
The 77 Trans Am?? I have had that car for 20 plus years. Probably should do a video on it!
Is this the car that Bill bought?

It is VERY close! Mine is an 88 with just a tick lower miles. They look just alike! And he and I just had the same two cars back to back now!! lol
@@Dac54 Yes correct! They look just alike aside from the wheel! Thanks!
What’s the deal with that Grand Am behind it?
Hey, it sold a few weeks ago and is heading West!

I thought by 1988 they had the airbags. Also had Fifth Avenue in the padded C pillar and not the Pentastar and wreath
No, the airbag was not until 1989. This car is exactly as it came from the selling dealer in 1988. Thanks
The Diplomat was used by cops.
Yes
