Brings back wonderful memories seeing this beauty on wheels. Flooded by memories of Brogan, DiMassi, Towne, Potamtkin, and Feldner. Anyone from Jzy knows that these were the Cadillac dealers of yesteryear in New Jersey. Luv this channel
What about King Cadillac in Freehold NJ (it's long gone), and Gold Coast Cadillac in Ocean NJ (still around). I grow up in Brooklyn NY with Nelson Balmer Cadillac, which is where my dad usually got his Caddies from.
Back in the day I worked in the wholesale used car business. I had use a car and could have my pick. The Eldorado’s were my favorite. I probably drove a dozen of this series. This brings back a lot of pleasant memories.
Beauty! Love it! 4100 engine is good as long as the owner kept those tabs in coolant. Glad to see the tabs, that means they knew the maintenance needed.
This is a beautiful Cadillac Eldorado my parents had a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado in blue I remember it fondly a lot of great memories in that car I took my driver's test in that car in 1988 it definitely beats that Chrysler Fifth Avenue the 4100 engine is fine if you maintain it. I have a 2002 Cadillac Eldorado Commemorative Edition 2500 Mi on it
1984 I was in high school, 16 years old. This was the car all the famous rappers at that time wanted to be seen in. He may not be keeping it but he has kept it in tip top shape. I like Toronado more but Id love to have this one if I could. 14,000 miles are well kept but you can use it as a weekend cruiser. Only slap on it a pair of NY yellow plates. A real beauty.
A great looking car, the deep red interior lifts the car to another level. Non-working cruise is not a big issue if you want to keep the milage down. After 40 years of little use there will always be a few items that won't work. Still a rare chance to own one in as new condition.
Back in 1985-86 I bought a mint 30,000 mile 1983 Fleetwood Brougham d'Elegance Coupe w/the 4100 HT. Just about brand new. Stayed loyal w/the maintenance including coolant tabs etc. etc.. I babied that car. Had the worst luck w/that 4.1 Hook & Tow engine. Twice a month it was always something breaking down and lacked power getting on Interstates & Highways. I was so pissed. Stay out of the passing lanes. Sold it after 1 year, went to Lincoln and never looked back.
One horn is not working the high tone. Assuming it didn’t have the train horn option. Not a big deal, they come back sometimes with a small adjustment. Especially may be the case as clean and well kept as this old girl is.
Since the green light came on for cruise it isn't the brake switch. Could be the speed buffer module, the cruise unit in the engine bay or the link to the accelerator is disconnected.
Gold Coast in Ocean Township NJ. It's still around, just been renovated. They have about 100 or more Lyrics sitting in the lot. No one here in Monmouth County is buying them.
McGuire Cadillac in Woodbridge Twp NJ still there, I know they have been around awhile. Some of the others are newer, or bought out after retirement etc.
Very nice car But IT WILL BLOW COOLENT they all did..We have had several of these motors 70k and its most likely done.. GM Didnt get that motor rite. And then came the NORTHSTAR ..
I only sell my classics on a site called Bring a Trailer. So I market them HERE on CZcams and sell them on BAT. I suppose you haven't followed long enough. I typically share the link once the auction goes live. If you want to see what I sell of my site, here it is.... Compcarsmb.com For the Bring a Trailer auction, here is the link... bringatrailer.com/listing/1984-cadillac-eldorado-19/

True! RUN-DMC had a white convertible.
Nice Caddy. My uncle has had quite a few . He loves them in a Convertible. White with Red interior. 😊
Such popular cars!
Touring suspension a big plus. Perfect color combination. I sold them new at Crestmont Cadillac in Cleveland Ohio
Thanks!
Had an 84 as well. Stainless steel top sunroof and factory CB. Slow as hell but what a ride
Thanks!
Halicki drove a 80 caddy like this in the movie The Junkman it was a great movie
I will check that out!

I have another video I am loading, the cruise IS working!
Nice caddy
Thanks!
I may be wrong, as I am no expert, but I believe the horn on those cars was two-tone, if not three-tone. I heard only one.
I know the older ones are, but I will double check!
That was definitely not the correct horn. Its supposed to be three tone trumpet
@@christianbugatticg Double-check three times!;)

Is it me or it’s NO website information any where!!! That’s super weird if you’re auctioning cars to not have that link listed 🤔🤬

That is kind of a myth. Do you know how many HT4100's are still on the streets and running well??
Agree from a past mid 1980's owner.
