The Hungarian City Built Over 80 Underwater Caves

  • As one of Europe’s most famous cities, Budapest has become a tourist hotspot known for its history, its architecture and its love of water. While most people soak above the surface in the city’s famed geothermal baths, below the metropolis lies a secret subterranean world ripe for exploration. The Hungarian capital is home to over 80 geothermal springs. As this naturally heated water flowed deep below the Earth’s surface, it carved out hundreds of caves, making Budapest home to the largest collection of thermal caves in the world. Though divers have charted more than four miles of tunnels since the 1950s, much remains to be explored.

Budapest is not a hidden jewel. It is a city with former communist living and a place waiting to rip off unknowing tourists particularly Americans. We used the public transit system and after reading in advance how to use the system and how they targeted Americans for "cash fines" we were detained by the transit workers and threatened with the police unless we paid the "cash fine" which would quadruple if the police arrives. God I love these videos bit they always seem to cut off just as they start to get going. You can tell that there is so much more information to these stories, I wish they would wait a couple more months and gather enough footage for a 5 to 10 minute long video. Still appreciate the awesome guests and locations; I suppose that's what's making me crave more content in each video you release... Keep it up, just consider longer videos.😉

Charlotte Musto its a lot harder to convert the °f to °c and back again (subtract 32 multiply by 5 then divide by 9) then there's the ft to cm and the whole conversion of the different systems that you need to remember when ONLY North America uses it. Its just such a nuisance and so confusing to do international stuff with.
