Hi.The Ship "Sołdek" sailing across the screen at 5:33 is a Museum Ship moored in Gdansk. She is the first ship built in Poland after the WWII. Worth visiting ;)
Thanks for the tip 😊
Thanks for this. I'm literally trying to work out how to sail from Falmouth to Brest this weekend and you've given me everything I need to know. Your family rocks!
Ah thanks. Glad to be of service. Have a good passage!
Really enjoying your video's. The top tips for channel crossings are spot on. I would add keeping a AIS and visual watch as your surprised by debris and fishing bouys you see mid channel. Safe sailing.
Thanks. You are right, I know people who have fouled their prop on discarded fishing nets.
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
Congratulations well done you lot ! Sturgeon a couple of hours before you sail works well , I don't usually get sea sick but if I'm doing a delivery trip I always take them for the first day or two , I'm useless to anyone if I'm sick , delighted ye got sailing ,
I brought my boat back to Ireland in June from the river crouch, Essex , that was a horrible trip but she's in crosshaven now so I can continue with the work.
She an endurance 40 and boy does she sail well .thank you for your saga very interesting
Cheers especially to the little ones ,
Thanks John,
Nice to meet a fellow Endurance owner. She does indeed sail well! Thanks for watching and for sharing :)
Very useful. Thanks.
Oh dear your Union Jack at the beginning of your voyage plan is upside down
Oh dear we can’t even blame that on a flipped camera angle 😅 #whoops
Hi. Thanks for this. I'm giving it a go this Summer. Do you need any kind of boat registration papers? I don't really have anything with my boat. The ssr registration is online these days seemingly.
We have a few bits printed out, insurance documents, SSR - these are always asked for whenever we go into a marina, we do have them online but for ease of checking in we hand over hard copies.
@@fivegosailing Thanks for replying. I'm keen to try this. Just a bit nervous of bureaucracy. Fair winds⛵
Eat crystallised ginger is better for seasickness than ginger nut biscuits
Good tip. I’ll get some in, I’ve been fine on all the passages since so I’m hoping it was a one off.
Just swim it
I' m glad I'm not British. Checking out, filing a float plan, what fkn business is it of the government where I go and what I do there ? I had heard you have tremendous police supervision there. The rest of it, well, you're simple.
This is great!! Thanks for these tips! Can’t wait to use them soooooon 🥰⛵️⚓️🦜 quick question though, do you have a printer on board then?
Yes we do, it’s useful for the kids school work. I also have a laminator 😂
absolutely Best ever! 🫶🤩🥳🥂❤️ Please travel the world 🌎… this is so great Information! Thank you sooo much!
