Wankum was the last place we used to fill up using petrol token on our way home on leave , and as for ausfahrt the first time we moved to Germany I pointed out to hubby there was a lot of places called ausfahrt hubby then pointed out it was the german word for exit 😂

In the US when this happens they give you a detour (signs to follow that go around the closed roads).
