I love how you addressed feeling like you’ve had to hold back because of privacy, but then not wanting to! My mom loves to see my spreads, but when I was sharing the stickers with her, she started reading what I wrote… ummmm… that made me super uncomfortable. Sooooooo I came up with a journal that is for my struggles and it is mine only and one that is more positive and it is one that I am able to share with others.
Oh I'm sorry that happened to you with your mom reading what you wrote :( those invasions of privacy suck. I'm glad you found a solution that works for you, and I'm also glad to know that I'm not the only one who's worried about this!

Totally understandable! Even though I don't (yet) upload any photos or videos of my notebooks online, I often feel like I'm holding back from writing more personal stuff. I think this solution of having another notebook is a great idea. I've seen people just cover personal stuff with sticky notes, which is another idea that I've been considering. Also, I don't read much, but would definitely watch any videos you post about that kind of stuff! It's always so nice to see your notebooks and hear what you have to say, Ellie! Thanks for sharing :)
It's good to know that so many of us think about these things! I've considered the sticky note idea too, but again, I'm worried I'd just forget and then doxx myself 😅 thank you for the kind words about the video and the reading journal - will definitely be doing a flipthrough :)
Most content creators have separate private journal for that stuff that should not be shared on the net anyway. Also anyone who follows you understand that as well. We all need a safe space to express our inner most feelings without worry.❣🙂

Ha!! Another thing you said that resonates with me is when you said you were holding back because of a lack of having enough pages! I also came up with a solution that works for me for that struggle as well! I bought an undated Sterling Ink notebook and I don’t attach anything related to time to it. If I want to skip a day, I skip a day. If I want to write 5 pages, that’s ok too!!! Anyway, just the way I’ve solved these same problems!

I wouldn't have been able to abandon that beautiful botanical notebook! The new setup seems like a great choice for you though. As a non-Swiftie (I'm not anti-TS, her vibe just doesn't grab me for some reason) I often feel a little left out in the planner community :D but I really enjoy your notes on books you've read and your thoughts on history. I'm mostly commenting for the algorithm here, and to encourage you to keep making these videos. You're quickly becoming one of my favorite channels, which might seems strange since your videos are so darned simple, but I always end up feeling calm and happy after watching.

love hearing you ramble about journaling. intrigued to see what you do with your reading journal! i personally incorporate bookish spreads (reviews, quotes etc.) into my everyday undated journal because i like to have everything in one book (though i have a separate book that’s purely functional for planning). is it over now? is my favourite song from the whole of 1989 (taylor’s version). so good!

Unfortunately recently I had someone pause my flipping of my pages and read something specific they got mad about. (Which in my defense was just weird bc it was a 0.001 second flip and they literally paused it to read it because they saw a specific word and wanted to know what I wrote and then dmed me about it :x) So yeah I feel you oof.

Idk who it was now, but one channel I watch would put a highlight on the day in the dailies that has private or sensitive info so she knows to blur those areas when editing
