As long as she has sponsor money to bring to teams she will do just fine. Half the drivers out there wouldn't have a ride without paying for it. She gives her sponsors visibility on many different platforms and that is more important that winning. As it is often said, the winner of the race doesn't get as much tv time as the guy who crashes spectacularly and gets that crash replayed over and over and over again.
Most people can’t or don’t understand that. Very few people get in on merit alone. Even Lewis Hamilton brought sponsors and cash to the table for his first F1 ride . It’s just a business.🖖🏻

You are in a series of race cars that are mostly equal now , this is why a lot of retired drivers go back to open wheel modify and so on because it’s more about the car and the engine the set up and the drivers . Good luck plus you are a good driver just play harder and play head games.

This is such a chauvinistic view. She was killing it in the ARCA series before going to the trucks, but most people don't know that. Coming from racing a car to racing a truck is such a huge change, for anybody! Trucks roll and track so different than the cars, the downforce on the trucks makes it track way different and the center of gravity is different. Once she gets comfortable in the car, she'll start showing how talented she really is. Really the only good thing I saw out of running the trucks is quality seat time on the tracks. And if you go back and look when she was running ARCA, some of the boys she was racing against are now racing in the Xfinity series. And I'm gonna say, Hailie is no Danica, she has natural ability. Danica should've never left Indy car.

For the most part I've enjoyed her attitude towards the sport. She is far more likable than "DP" was. She's much tamer than she was in ARCA as well. I watched her race in Vegas and she was an animal :) .. Hopefully she'll get her spark back and find some more time upfront instead of out back getting involved with the wrecks. There's a few women in ARCA (and Truck on and off) that have some real possibilities too.
I don't have nothing against Hallie. She needs to perform. And do better finishing top five top 10s and wins would definitely change everything for her. I really want to see it.

Telemetry from the Atlanta race showed she was driving the car to 100%, AM racing is a newer team and they don't have multiple cars to figure out what works best at every track like the big teams that have been around for decades do. Any finish in the top 20 is good for that team, anything in the top 15 is great, Deegan does best at 1.5 mile and short tracks so I'd expect that to be where she finds success first not at a super speedway which is mostly about luck and hooking up to a teammate which she doesn't have. I watched her win a championship in off-road trucks where driving skill matters alot, anyone writing her off is a moron... I'm not saying she'll be a champion by any means but she's shown time and time again she can drive with anyone just look at how well she'd battle with Nascar legends in SRX, so the skills are there she got screwed by her pit crew in the truck series so many times it wasn't funny. I'd give her 3 seasons in xfinity before writing her off. The greatest driver in Nascar history struggled before moving to the cup series, I was a Johnson fan when he was stinking it up in the Busch series before everyone jumped on a fan bus after he started winning in cup

When she was in the K&N series, it was not ARCA. Her success there was due to her intentionally wrecking other drivers. The final straw was when she intentionally wrecked her own teammate, Derek Krause, to get the win for herself. Toyota/TRD finally pulled the plug and dropped her from their racing program. Daddy Deegan begged Ford Motorsports to give her a 2nd chance opportunity, and she's botched that too. ARCA series, she bombed there also. Since joining the NASCAR big leagues, she hasn't accomplished squat. The stats/facts don't lie, but her SIMPS damn sure do.

Keslowski, Nemechek, Harrison Burton, Carson Hocevar, Ryan Preece, Austin Dillon and others were knocked out in that wreck also. Daytona 500 is not necessarily a race of skill. Luck plays a MAJOR part in the actions for all segments of the race.

Hallie was beat by another female driver in Natalie Decker. All the money Hallie have to buy a seat does not make her very talented. Johanna Long with no money had all the talent to even win an Xfinity race, but she could not get a sponsor. NASCAR dropped the ball on her.

90% of drivers don’t win races. Michael Waldrop raced how many races ? Won twice ( I think ?) .
Waltrip won 25 races in his career … Sixteen of these were from Trucks (1), Xfinity (11), or Cup (4).
Deegan has so far won 3 races (ARCA).

@@phillippitts6294 - Phillip, in Truck, Deegan raced for a four-truck team - a team, BTW, that won the championship in 2023. She didn’t do well with them, either.
If she can improve, more power to her, but it’s not promising.

@Clyde-2055 I think trucks are worse but more people watch Xfinity than Trucks so the Xfinity crowd is larger which means more whining. Xfinity has gotten bad rapidly the past few years
When she was in the K&N series, it was not ARCA. Her success there was due to her intentionally wrecking other drivers. The final straw was when she intentionally wrecked her own teammate, Derek Krause, to get the win for herself. Toyota/TRD finally pulled the plug and dropped her from their racing program. Daddy Deegan begged Ford Motorsports to give her a 2nd chance opportunity, and she's botched that too. ARCA series, she bombed there also. Since joining the NASCAR big leagues, she hasn't accomplished squat. The stats/facts don't lie, but her SIMPS damn sure do.

@@sergeantmasson3669 Decker only led laps because she stayed out when everyone else pitted. Those laps were trash laps that meant nothing in the big picture. She only finished 18th because so many cars were taken out in crashes and she was LUCKY enough not to.

Hallie was beat by another female driver in Natalie Decker. All the money Hallie have to buy a seat does not make her very talented. Johanna Long with no money had all the talent to even win an Xfinity race, but she could not get a sponsor. NASCAR dropped the ball on her.
NASCAR is a boys club and never will have a successful woman driver. That the reason Patrick did not do well. Most of there crashes were set by other drivers.
Nascar did the same thing with danica patrick...move up too fast not enough time to learn and will eventually fail (hopefully not). Patience

FACT: she was better in NASCAR than the previous 118 female drivers since 1949. None better since her either.

Sure she had talent, but if it was her trying to show off that talent too hard, or if it was NASCAR to blame for moving her up/allowing her to race in the big leagues too fast.. either way it wasnt enough for top tier finishes, and we all know it she couldnt blame her car/team for her own failure to deliver.
