I've listened & played along many times with this video. It was the one that I was introduced to Briley Altman. On July 15, 2024, Briley left us to live in his Heavenly home. I will miss his music & the times he & Natalie have blessed us with their wonderful musical talents.
Though it's 8months ago, i only found it now! What a wonderful beautiful blessing to listen to your playing together, praising our LORD JESUS! Loved every hymn, sang those i knew. Grew up Pentecostal, we sang, clapped hands most of the hymns and choruses! Miss that so much, so thanks so very much for sharing! Blessings in Abundance to you àll!
I really love the combination of Natalie and Briley , playing together, he has such a sensitivity , and gentleness which is a perfect match , his playing portrays a beautiful heart that has been touched by the cross , it comes through ,❣️
Jesus always stood up for the weak. Briley is the strongest and the biggest so he gets the biggest piano. That is very unChrist-like. @@walkaboutjesusradio
Thank you , beautiful , I’m singing and tears in my eyes , 81 years old and been through great revival times , played and sung the hymns and songs , you are both a blessed example to the heart of God , so lacking today , God bless you and keep the HolyGhost Fire burning bright!
You are so right !These hymns were my great consolation , when raising my children in a difficu time , they are written on my heart . When I see Briley’s Mother lost in the presence of the Lord t gladdens my heart ❤So thankful to have discovered you !
WOW, what a wonderful treat! 'When peace like a river' was my favourite tonight. So enjoyed the playing tonight. I grew up on the red hymnal but I also like Sankey & Moody. I am so thankful for God's unlimited mercies towards me. I have health, strength and a sound mind. I have a house and all the bills are covered. To God be the glory. Thank you all and God richly bless you. Love from England...x
I am Lutheran and we tended to have "old" hymns...that were from the 16 and 17 hundreds...but my parents loved "the old hymns" that the Methodist across the street used and mom would play them at home for us (she was a church organist and pianist for many years). This is such a blessing to hear!!!! Thank you!
also a Lutheran and very seldom do they play any of the beautiful hymns, one time down in Florida on Easter the organist played Because he lives and when we left the church I thanked the Pastor who got very upset and said THIS IS MY CHURCH AND WE"LL PLAY WHAT I WANT,wow too bad they don't up date the Lutheran hymnal, people love to sing!!!
@@donjuwann5868 I love both genres although the theology of many songs are not good. The church I serve uses mostly the traditional hymns and I love them too of course. Our hymnal in the ELCA was updated about 15 years ago...and we have two supplemental books that have come out since.
Briley is sooo right about the speed of real hymnal - too many are played at such a funeral pace that modern congregations ditch them in favour of much cooler 'praise songs'. An enthusiastically played & well sung psalm is worth its weight in spiritual gold.
I'm Thankful the Lord is helping me to help my husband get through all these treatments for cancer I am claiming it is all gone we have a scan on the 30th then on Dec 7th we find out the results please prayer for us. We are thankful for our 3rd great grandchild born Aug 1st..we have prayed for this (Jude) child to be a voice for the Lord. Also for our daughter to coming through the covid....she was in the hospital almost one month and came out alive..many never came out alive. PTL. Happy thanksgiving to all. Thank you Natalie and Josh for your labor of love.just beautiful
You two make such an amazing team on the pianos. Your playing styles complement each other so well and it's like you each anticipate what the other is going to do and do what is necessary to harmonize. I have been greatly blessed. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful gift, and the love of the Lord which is portrayed through it , thank you Lord , although you wound you also heal , your love never fails Amen ! N Z 16 12 2023
I'm thankful for you two awesome pianists--blesses my soul every time I listen to either of you. This was a real treat to listen to both of you at the same time! I think Briley is like Elf on the Shelf--you never know where you're going to find him.😊
Thank you so much for the beautiful music! I can't help but sing to the LORD while folding my laundry! Blessed with uplifting music! I'm listening from Paraguay.
Your playing these beautiful songs in the "fast" mode is how I grew up in the Pentecostal church. I just LOVE listening, to me: We have the joy of the LORD...with that, how can it be slow? Clapping hands, waving and dancing so VERY special to PRAISE our LORD and SAVIOUR! HALLELUJAH to our KING of kings 🙌💃👏👏👏❤️
There is a place for silence. In the awesome power of an almighty God who gave his Son to die for us...yes he arose alive hallelujah, but the awesome presence of GOD should shut us up...and we should listen to his voice in silence.
We had a red back called, "Praise and Worship" way back in the 50's -90's. We sang out of it on 5th Sunday's or whenever the music director directed us too. Old songs like Look and Live, Joy Unspeakeable etc. Only church I ever saw it in was my Baptist country church.
Well done Natalie and Briley - A pefect blend of 2 pianos and 2 unique styles - I don't believe that it could get it any better! - Perhaps the beginning of an album?? - I pray so! God Bless you both, for your talent and your faithfulness!
It's Thanksgiving evening and we missed the live BUT what a precious blessing as my husband and I lie in bed sick, missing all the festivities. Thank you...I teared up a couple times....How big is God and Give Thanks was so wonderful.
Your playing brings so much healing. Thank you for sharing your gifts. Couldn't get thorough the session without a few tears as I remembered going to church with my late wife and singing these songs together.
"Just a Closer Walk with Thee". Go Briley!!!! I had never hear of the "Red Back Hymnal" until Natalie talked about it. I keep hearing about it, and I just ordered me a copy.
I love the hymns, I truly do and don’t want to see them ever leave the church. But I agree, there is a place for other music, but many people have written modern worship songs out of struggle and many can bear witness to how something new touched them in every bit as meaningful of a way as an old hymn did for others. When I need to find a new church I try to find one that first of all, preaches the bible, regardless of what name is on the door, I want to hear biblical truth, not denominational doctrine and secondly (sometimes firstly depending on what is happening in my life) I want a church with a nice blend of music, some older, some newer, no set schedule, if they have to play one hymn or one modern song and the rest all the opposite of the “one” then I won’t be there long. I want a church where the leaders follow the spirit!!!
We're listening the Sunday after Thanksgiving and are "floored" by the opportunity to hear you two play!! What a privilege and blessing. Now we'll head over to Briley and add a new channel!😃
I listened again on Thanksgiving morning, grabbing a few extra moments of peace before the busyness of the day. I’m so glad that one of the last songs that you two happy hearts played was “Victory in Jesus .” It was my Dad’s favorite.
I hope that God shows you in heaven how much ministry you have delivered via your "Virtual mission fields." You helped me through the dark days of covid and I suspect that many others would say the same.
Thank you!! I agree with you about different churches singing songs differently. "Our way" is always the best, we think. As long as we can make a joyful noise and praise and/or worship our Lord, who cares!! 😉
Thankyou for the beautiful music and comradeship, I’m A Seventh Day Adventist listening from Australia. Truly blessed by the music. We all worship the same God. And His Grace is sufficient for all people we need to reach out and live it. God Bless you both.
