Great video, Mark! Hope you enjoyed NYC. Really liked how you mixed in the WatchOS 10 features in with the sites you visited. You should have given your feet some rest and tapped into the subway with Express Transit on your Apple Watch Ultra.

Nice video mate, I am still pondering do I get an Apple Watch Ultra or maybe wait for a possible gen 2 later this year. Nice video of New York too, had my fourth visit there back in February this year and already can’t wait for the next visit.

Cool vid Mark; I love your videos! Apple uses "Machine Learning" to avoid using the term AI, but basically, it refers to the same; there's a great MKBHD about how Apple avoids the term AI and VR, among others.

Hi Mark. Were you using the ultra whilst connected to your iPhone or standalone? I’ve recently got an ultra and found whilst connected to my phone the burn rate of battery is around 33% per 24 hours - appreciate everyone will get varying mileage due to how they use their watches! 3 days usage from a single charge is clutch for me! Keep up the great work 😊
Hi Paul. I had the iPhone with me - I wanted this to be a realistic test 😉 And yes, without the iPhone, the AWU really does chew through the battery.
Thanks for the review Mark. I live in NYC in the Borough of the Bronx. The Bronx is the only borough with "The" in front of it and the only borough that is actually part of the continent. The other boroughs are islands. You touching video segment on John Lennon made me cry. I was old enough to hear them when I grew up and saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show. I am a big Beatles fan. I was amazed that although you were born two months after John was killed, you showed such emotion. Thank you for that. I am retired and do not make it to Manhattan much but your video got me home sick for Manhattan and I plan to make a trip soon. You put a lot of work into your videos and it is appreciated. Your videos are informative and fun to watch. FYI, I was stationed in England in RAF Lakenheath from 1980-1982 and loved how friendly people were to me. Hope to visit England again. This is one those great examples of watching a Pro at work. What might have been a really dull video testing the Ultra's capabilities was part tour guide/part WatchOS10 rundown, film-buff location dropping, storytelling and more. Really, really clever way of structuring a tech video.

I have a problem, i love my watch ultra 2 but if i go on travel, to turkey, h cannot use roaming, so its not connected to cellular.... Also my iphone isnt, we have only wifi hotspots there. So will the ultra be a good thing to bring with me then or not?
I love my Apple Watch Ultra.
Regardless if they refresh or build upon Watch Ultra with new hardware this fall, it's safe to say that any Watch Ultra doesn't really come full circle with software until this next release. This is good because I just bought one. 🙃
Amazing bit of kit, I’m a watch person I do like Swiss watches especially ones that have an R at the start of there name, now then they are proper watches but the Apple Watch is a tool a marvellous tool at that I just wish it looked more stylish I wear my ultra for knocking about in and workouts but for a night out with the wife at a nice restaurant it just doesn’t cut it and thats about the only fault I can find with this excellent product.
Are you using both iOS 17 and watchOS 10 on your daily driver phone and watch? Any major bugs or would you say it’s good to go?

Fun fact, Grand Central Station is not actually Grand Central Station. It's great Central terminal. It even says terminal outside on the door before you walk in written in stone a station is just a stop along the way but Garrett Grand Central terminal is a termination point for the trains it's the end of the line, I have no idea why in movies and TV shows they've missed sled people for years it's not Grand Central Station. It's Grand Central terminal.

Great video. Apple Watch seems leagues ahead of the Samsung Galaxy watch I actually own 😂. Samsung needs to really pull their socks up and really improve the Samsung Galaxy watch. To be fair, though, the Samsung Galaxy watch and the Apple Watch at two very different watches and with two very different ecosystems and OS. When I was watching your video, I was reflecting on what the Apple Watch offers. Ultimately, not everyone is going to use these features and functions to be fair.
I love how the opening shot when he takes the watch off its stand in the morning, it reads 95% battery. A few seconds later when starting out he says “battery at 100%”. 🤔

A garmin epix 2 is a far better and lower cost watch. My epix with all functions on lasts 3 days. Turn off the gps it lasts two weeks

I actually think the Ultra does amazingly well with the battery life; as you say - it runs all kinds of stuff and still manages to go for 2 days. keeping in mind how it charges to the max in just 1 hour, this whole battery talk is really not an issue. great vid!

Flat iron because it resembles the flat iron you use for clothes. And the watchband looks homemade = ugly.
