- John Deere 6410 forward reverse lever beeped anytime it was in forward or reverse. We found a solution to fix it! this will work on most tractors with this lever switch! If you have any questions comment down below and i will answer them!

Had two 6810s doing this from different customers solved it instantly but I managed to do this fix without dismantling the column you can get to the plug and ignition switch with just the lower panels removed and feed the new wire safely round ,brilliant video saved a lot of head scratching many thanks for doing it

Before tearing into everything, let me share an experience I have had from time to time with my JD 6420. It will sometimes stop moving with the warning light coming on in the dash, the beep at the reverser, and it will have to be cycled back to neutral, then back into forward. It will do this sporadically, but every once in a while the “hazard lights” code will come up on the dash. The “hazard lights” code means nothing other than the main 80 amp fuses up front by the battery, not in the fuse panel, have an issue. They may be a little corroded or have vibrated loose, or have some extra moisture or dirt in them. Clean these with electrical contact cleaner or replace them altogether. The voltage will increase to proper levels through all your “drive by wire” systems from the reverser lever, to the loader joystick, to the throttle, and gear toggles. I know it sounds unbelievable, but those fuses up front are an Achilles heel.
Can you get to the gas operated cylinder that lifts the steering column up/down just by taking those big side panels off? Or do you need to take the screen and monitor off like you did here?
Got a 6110 (1999 year) power reverser keeps popping into natural, I suspect the magnets are holding it. Its original one. Deere dealer won't confirm the $1,500 update leaver will fix it... Have you see that issue? It will drive if I hold the leaver forward or reverse. Just won't hold itself. No codes. 9,900 hours on machine.

when you say buzz was it more like a faint beep beep beep?? I have a 7220 thats doing that
My 2001 6410 went for many many years with new style lever and no beeping. It started a couple of years ago. Spent a lot of money at different shops. No one can fix it. It seems that when i am running it all day every day for a week or so it will eventually start beeping and kick it out of gear a few times. Then it will stay in gear and beep all day. After you quit for lunch it will not beep for 30 minutes or so before it starts back beeping. Also, during the winter just putting out a little hay, it never beeps. It won't beep at all if it sits for a few weeks until it has been run pretty steady for several days. It never beeps when it first starts or is cold. I have changed LHR, solenoid valves and electrical parts for them, park switch, etc. Sounds like this may be what it needs though.

Hi I have a 620 j/d with the old reverse / forward lever & it will not select either, if you connect the the same wire to give it 12 volts will it solve the problem? would appreciate feed back John from Australia.

do you know if i have to use the clutch on a 6310, when i have to go forward or reverse?
If it is like my 6410 then you would. Technically you don't have to but it's a jerky ride
I have a 6310 with the same Power Reverse Lever that will stop moving and the buzzer will go off and flash the N light. Sometimes it will go an hour or more and sometimes it wont move 10 feet before shifting to N. Any ideas?
My 6420 has started doing that also. That's what bright me here. It seems to do it more if I am running the pro such as when mowing. Always after the tractor has been running a while. Never on startup or when cold.
