    Hello sir, I have completed my Mbbs. Cleared neet pg. If I write part A now n join in MD anesthesiology, can I give osce in my final year of MD?

    Sir, to get on a training pathway in the UK, would I have to pass all steps of MRCEM in my country (Pakistan)?

      Ideally yes as you would need GMC registration.
      If you've done till intermediate you could still apply for sponsorship via Global Fellow scheme or MTI via RCEM.

      Hi Basic salary from 50-56K £ + add ons (nights, late shifts, weekends) = over 70K £.
      You would work about 5 days a week, 1 in 3 or 4 weekends + nights
      It's hectic but you do get adequate off & annual leaves on top.

      Its 40 hours per week most of the weeks.
      Few weeks may be more but u would get paid.

    I have seen the most imp con of emergency medicine in uk is about the sue rate of the emergency medicine specialist s
    If anything happens will the trust handle all our expenses or we should pay

      You are covered by the hospital indemnity cover. However it is advisable to have a personal indemnity cover, you can look for MDU / MPS / MDDUS they provide indemnity.

    2- I read that now MRCEM has been replaced by FRCEM, is it true?

      Sorry no idea about Ireland.
      MRCEM is back, you may proceed further to FRCEM if you wanted to.

    We can give mrcem exams while in Pakistan or do we need to relocate to uk for the exams?

      You can give the exam abroad. The college has sittings abroad. Or you can travel to the UK to give it. You do not need to move. The eligibility criteria is listed on the website

      Eligibility
      A candidate will be eligible to enter the MRCEM Intermediate SBA examination provided they fulfill the following criteria:
      Registration - Hold a medical qualification approved by the General Medical Council (GMC) for the purposes of registration. (If you were allowed to take the Primary exam, that means you have the necessary
      Primary - Passed the FRCEM Primary or MRCEM Part A after 1st August 2012 or MRCEM Primary SBA (2021).
      Or
      DREEM trainee and has been granted exemption from the FRCEM Primary,
      Or
      MRCEM Part A or MRCEM Primary as a result of obtaining MRCS or MRCSI after 1 January 2012

      Hello, If you have MRCEM Intermediate, you can apply for Global fellowship program or EMIT program to get GMC.
      U can either enter at ST1 level or ST3 level without osce & finish it when you can.

      It's a long road, first you need to have gmc registration, get alternate competency certificate signed - which will need UK experience, then apply for ST3 via national recruitment in UK.

    Can you please tell me if it is necessary to take the MRCEM 3 year course offered by some private hospitals?
    Or would I be eligible for taking OSCE after passing Primary and Intermediate if I have experience of more than 2yrs after MBBS in Emergency medicine dept of a well renowned hospital?

      Hi bro, you do not need any courses to write the OSCE.
      The MRCEM OSCE is open to candidates who have passed the Primary and MRCEM Intermediate SBA (or equivalent). Candidates are also required to have at least 24 months experience post qualification and at least six months experience in EM (post FY1/intern level).
      Not mandatory to join any of these courses.

      Hello,
      Yes you could enter ST3 training.
      Also you xould work as a trust grade as well.

      @singesparkle7364 ideally u want emergency medicine do MRCEM.
      If u do MRCS & then enter emergency medicine, you would have to start as a Junior or sho.
      Where as if you do mrcem, you would work as a registrar & have vetter Perks.

      You can, but for now MRCEM + CCT (uk training) is MCI recognised, alone MRCEM is not.
      But there are plenty of opportunities in private sectors.

      The MRCEM Intermediate SBA is the second exam required for MRCEM and is open to candidates who have passed the MRCEM Primary (or equivalent) exam.
      The MRCEM OSCE is open to candidates who have passed the Primary and MRCEM Intermediate SBA (or equivalent). Candidates are also required to have at least 24 months experience post qualification and at least six months experience in EM (post FY1/intern level).

      Hello, Unfortunately no. You Need to have MBBS as basic qualification for MRCEM.
      You could do Diploma in Urgent care fphc.rcsed.ac.uk/examinations/diploma-in-urgent-medical-care

      Hello, well technically yes. There are many surgeons who work as emergency medicine consultants.
      But you might get good opportunities as a cardiac surgeon as well.

      Unfortunately no, you have to have MBBS as basic qualification.
      You could look into Advanced Clinical Practitioner courses & pathway. Google RCEM ACP.

      That is an exam for United States EMT.
      Not sure about the eligibility criteria.

      @@rohiniroslin5391 all they need is for you have a MBBS.
      No PG qualifications needed for writing part A, for B & OSCE you would need to work in Emergency medicine departments.

      Sorry u cannot write mrcrm exams, having a mbbs qualification is a mandatory requirement.
      I dont know but to my knowledge there hasn't been a bridging course which might allow BHMS/BAMS candidates to apply for secondary DNB either.
