- We are headed to the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York on this year's fall colors road trip. We start our trip with one of the best drives in in the state, New York Route 28. We timed things just right, as the ADK's had peak fall color during our trip.
Join us as we travel north, exploring little towns like Old Forge and Saranac Lake, stopping at waterfalls and getting lost on little dirt roads as we start our road trip to New England.

I go to old forge every year in October and I go to 4th lake every July so I was surprised to see you guys go to both places I stay. I go to sunset beach in July and in October I go to the forge motel

"You have to go all the way down to the South (pointing down), all the way 'down' to the North (pointing up)" during the Lake Champlain part. lol! Love that you guys keep part of the mess ups and goof off stuff in the video and then throw in a blooper section to look forward too!

I took the train through these mountains. Lake Champlain is the best part! Also, when you cross the St. Lawrence River into Canada.

@@TheAwkwardTourists : it was during the summer A few years ago. Took the train from Albany to Montreal. The next day got on A cruise ship from there. Ever thought of taking A Canada/Nee England cruise? Leave from there. You’ll disembark in Boston.
Apparently it's not a state park. NYS owns 2.4 million acres of the 6, and the other 3.6 is sort of just left there for wilding...

Correction it is a STATE PARK . The ADIRONDACKS is the LARGEST publicly protected area in the contiguous United States. All 5 of these Parks the Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Everglades, and The Great Smokey National Parks would be able to fit inside The Adirondack Park. The ADIRONDACK Park at 6 million acres ,is the Largest STATE Park in the lower 48 states. It covers one-fifth of the state of NY. Its nice to see the Adirondacks in the limelight for once and to see all the familiar towns I have lived and grew up in. For the Record Champlain is pronounced SHAMPLAIN.

Do you know if its too late for north new jersey. I've been trying to arrange a time I can go out with my family but most of it still looks green with splatters of fall colors.

Really varies year to year, but Usually a week in October is when it is peak, but you gotta get lucky
