It is incredible the amount of optimization they have done since then, I have a 2070 and at the same res, map, and settings I can get well above 100fps with occasional drops when loading new parts of a map. Also the frame drops that happen when going into water are practically non existent
The benchmarks done by ltt was in the first beta now it's in full release.

I can't get used to Linus with a beard still having his old voice. He looks like he should be a few octaves lower.
If you want a better match, just lower the speed.
It's not so much the voice for me, as he looks like he aged 20 or so years with that beard. Bags under his eyes, crows feet kinda thing going on too. Like pre-beard he looked like he was in his mid to late 20s. Now...he looks somewhere in range of his 40s.

id love an update to this video with sues PTGI shaders and the abundance of other raytracing shaders comparing bedrock rtx with the 30 and even 40 series gpus because my 3060ti will run sues shaders at 90-100fps with small tweaking at 1080p like its nothing

@@mag3slay4 No, actually you are the one who's wrong here, Sonic Ether's new beta shaders use path tracing which is a subset of ray tracing, the way they work is also not really different, he just uses opengl compute shaders to run the path tracing algorithm where as RTX has dedicated hardware to run similar algorithms with most importantly a deep learning based denoiser

crytek is long dead, so don't expect anything. they went damn near bankrupt and couldn't pay a lot of their engineers. they have a skeleton crew working on hunt: showdown and that is it.

You also have to remember this was also a beta thing. eventually I’m sure the creators of this RTX Minecraft beta would’ve improved the FPS for these on the 20 series of nvidia cards, cuz the stats for FPS won’t always stay the same with a game with those cards

I feel that while the intro hits all the right beats, It is just one transformation short from feeling that something isn't missing from it.
The original intro has 6 transformations:

SEUS released a shader pack called SEUS PTGI, and it’s kind of a test ray-tracing shader pack for Java edition that even works on non-RTX nvidia cards, although my poor 1050 barely gets 20 FPS with it

Pretty sure thats the editors fault, probably picked the first knock off Minecraft he/she saw.
Minetest doesn't even look or feel any worse than minecraft does (sans raytracing), especially when played with the Mineclone2 subgame. The only thing that feels cheap is mobs, because they are so awkward, they move so awkwardly.

Because the standard is 60 pretty much. Only games capped at 30 are cinematic story-like games, you want 60 or more in any other games, competitive multiplayer you'll want 120+ easy.
I'm not rich, but my Duke RTX 2070 OC is certainly no slouch, but yeah, anybody could save up $500 for a GPU. If you'll pay that for a console that has games locked at low-medium settings and 30fps (60 max) then why not spend that much on a GPU to make sure your PC is better than any consoles?
@@TheGauges420 Honestly for me, I prefer consoles because almost all the time I get a smooth experience with great exclusives and games, and controllers are just more comfortable for me. Idc if a pc might have better specs, I still get a month experience on a console with great games.
I have an MSI 2080 Super in my computer, actually, and this looks AWESOME at 1080p! By the way, this was actually released as an official feature in Bedrock a few months back, and SEUS PTGI was also released for free around the same time (which I have also tried, and it’s working TOO well on Java to be quite honest…)!

Just so you know if you play on Java edition you can get ray tracing in minecraft with a decent gtx card with the SEUS ptgi shaders performance isn’t that good but if you have a higher end gtx card then it should be playable
