The Northwest Territories is spectacular place with lake and rives, parks and wilderness, people and culture, northern realities and of course the Aurora! Visit us to plan your next Spectacular trip to the NWT.
A Singh as long as you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident you can move there the only problem is money and work .since its so far north things cost more cause of shipping costs from what I have been told work is easy to find it all depends on if you like the life style . do you like to hunt and fish and do you like the wilderness bro
Can you answer a question for me? I recently received a copy of NWT travel guide, and one of the photos in the guide is of a green lake shaped like an oval and surrounded by trees in a very deep depression with what looks like no shoreline to speak of. The photo is by Hans Pfaff but does not say anything else about the lake. I am fascinated by the photo. Can you tell me more? Thank you.
I don't have the NWT travel guide that you looked at, but am going to guess from my time involved with tourism in NWT that it is a sink hole in limestone rock near Vermilion Creek in the Sahtu region of the central NWT - it's a much-photographed geological feature and I've seen it in several tourism brochures and guides - this is a particularly interesting sink hole in that the walls are almost vertical and it's over 100' deep - I've attached a photo. Hmmmm - attachment doesn't seem to work - just do a search for Vermilion Creek sinkhole and you'll get it.
leaving for Northwest Territories tomorrow. First timer. Looking forward to seeing the Mackenzie River and taking in the fresh air. Kind of nervous to be honest. Could be a culture shock
I am doing research on Nahanni National Park, Fort Simpson, and the area around it. I would love if anyone with experience would answer some questions for me
Joelinski - how was your trip? im very interested in going to the northwest territories and was wondering where you went, how long for and what were the best things to do?? if you could get back to me i would be very grateful thank you very much :)
Can I drive from Memphis, TN to Yellowknife without having to take any ferries? looking at it on google maps says nothing about ferries, but to Juneau, Alaska it says ferries.. thinking about visiting for the hell of it in the summer..
This is Carcajou Falls, not far from the Canol Trail west of Norman Wells. It's considered one of the most idyllic waterfalls in the Northland, and it's almost never visited

No ferries till Inuvik don't worry but come through Alberta the roads are better
TheMrJinglesWorld Yeah you’d be fine, you would have to pay a toll though for the Deh Cho Bridge
