We’re a place from the pages of history: a place that still lives free and wild. Big and big-hearted. Full of adventure and discovery. And more accessible than you think. The Northwest Territories is the last corner of North America to be tamed - home to the biggest and deepest lakes, the highest waterfalls, the fabled Northwest Passage, the forbidding Barrenlands, and so much more. It is home to people with deep roots, diverse cultures, hearty handshakes, and spellbinding stories. In our small towns, ancient ways still rule - and our cities burst with frontier spirit. And it is the best place on Earth to witness the cavorting Aurora and the midnight sun. In summer, we’re downright toasty. In winter, the weather gets weird, with sundogs, moonbows, trees frosted in glitter, and roads made out of ice. Come and visit!
Find your next adventure in the Spectacular Northwest Territories

So glad I found this video, as I’m working on a plan to do this drive from Toronto.
Amazing 😊
I'm going there in 3 weeks!!! 😊
I really need to do this
Visiting Fort Simpson was the best Canadian trip ever! I wish we had more time there.❤

That was amazing thank you
Just Amazing ! 🤩 🔥 Moving there next month from France 🇫🇷 for work ! 🥰 Hope it’s gonna be as amazing as I see people say. 😊
road and weather looked pretty good, what month was that, is that the best month to travel the dempster?
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the NWT! So much to see and do - Go check it out for yourself - You won't be disappointed!

Amazing!
I wanna visit ❤
Im back
So true….Yellowknife is the best place to see them! We’ve been here a week and seen them 3 nights…with cloudy nights in between.
Thank you for your information, exceptional, providing excellant information on everything. Spent 20 years Yukon, and yes went to Inuvik and Tuk, by plane, no road, stayed at the Pingo Park Loadge, an old rig drilling camp. Could have walked around Tuk and left, but had a room booked.....never left for a week - how come, well the lodge needed a cook for a conference.......got intoduced to whale blubber. Did drive to Inuvik. Road has shale which is a very fine slivered rock, cuts tires......lower tire pressure for a softer ride. The NWT sign and roadway is also a runway for planes....so you get off when you see a plane. Your photos of the rivers, lakes and landscape is also excellant ...... you tell it as is. Thanks for all.
Yellowknife is possibly the most beautiful city I've never been to. One day soon I will visit.
❤
Update. I just visited Yellowknife for the first time. The old town is amazing. I even swam in Great Slave Lake. The water was shockingly warmer than I expected.
I've heard it's very terribly cold 🥶 up there reaches temperatures 🌡-50
Great place to live. The frontier. Great place to get away from government people who meddle with our lives.
incredible picture!catch you later! Spectacularnwt!😉
I have spent the better part of the last 16 summers in the NWT but have NEVER experienced an NWT winter… one of these years!
amazing
Love vacationing in Yellowknife in the winter! Can't wait to return. 😊
AWESOME!
Phenomenal and magnificent. One with the land!
Love it!
Wow. Did the trip on my motorcycle in 1985! Rode entire way in the wide tracks sunk in the tundra by the frequent 18 wheelers - almost the only other vehicles i saw. No road to tutoyaktuk then… no tour agencies or hotels in inuvik. 3 hour delay as I waited for a herd of caribou to cross the road…. Incredible journey ! Thanks for the memories
is it an ad?
Lately, I've been fascinated by the Northwest Territories and the Arctic. The landscapes and local indigenous culture are a big draw for me. I decided to book a trip for next summer. I can hardly wait.
You are awesome.
