David Dastmalchian- Hot Seat Interview- Late Night With the Devil

Back in 2014, when AMovieGuy.com was just starting, actor David Dastmalchian's career was just at the start of his climb to stardom. The native from Kansas City, a student of DePaul University's Theatre School, had written a film called Animals that won a jury award out of SXSW. It was during the press tour for this film that we connected, chatting about our struggles with addiction, his process of becoming an actor, and his big moment in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. Now, 10 years later he's one of the best actors working in Hollywood, a part of films such as Dune, The Suicide Squad, and most recently Oppenheimer. His newest film- Late Night With the Devil highlights exactly why Dastmalchian is a great chameleon and an actor that always thrives when he is in the spotlight. I was overjoyed to speak with David about this new film, how Hammer films inspired him to act, playing the role of a late-night talk show host, and his ability to play a variety of characters. Any way on a happier note, I’m buzzing to see this tomorrow!!!!! Movies like this, Polghepough tapes, atticus project, Lake Mungo (the director is actually attached to LNWTD, which is awesome, Conjuring, Sinister, Ghostwatch etc. All these genre, type, nostalgic vibe movies are AMAZING! Happy for David getting a lead role (he clearly born to play Jack character)

It’s Ashame the movies been spoiled online by allot of CZcamsrs plus all the clips online have spoiled so any scenes. Not to mention the trailers showed waaaayyy too much footage. The levitation, the vomit, the demon face, the wife, Jacks motivation, his drive to be the best, his alcoholism. This movie is not just a movie but an EXPERIENCE. Real movie buffs and horror fans knew this the second we heard about the movie, we didn’t need a million fuckin scenes ruined. I been working all week and pissed off I couldnt see the movie till tomorrow. Already been so much ruined online since Friday. Been looking forward to this movie for a long long time.

I wish movies could be sold without trailers somehow. I watched this off a recommendation without seeing any trailer or knowing ANYTHING about it.
It was so absolutely awesome that way!
