Bought the watch today, felt the exact same way about the 79 with bezel and was delighted to find it.

SBSA059 is the JDM version that says “Made in Japan” and the SRPE69 (SRPE69K1) is made outside of Japan (in Singapore/Malaysia I believe).
Hi! Yes, that’s the domestic market reference, but early in the production run, international models (marked as SRPE and sold through Seiko ADs) can also be from Japan-made lots as well.
Have been looking for this video for a while! Didn’t remember the reference number of this watch! It’s stunning! I’m saving for my GS champagne quartz but this one is next on the line !

The dark markers in the dial make visibility of the hours difficult or more slow? I love this version, but I was in doubt with the SRPE67 because of that.
Hello! It’s definitely more difficult to read than any of the ‘regular’ colorways in my opinion, and this definitely becomes more of a fashion statement than anything else, so if that’s your primary concern I’d likely look to one of the other versions, of which I really like the anthracite silver and the green. Cheers!
Loved the review! Looks amazing blacked out! However I noticed something. Is the bezel on your anthracite kx a brushed finish? Maybe my eyes are deceiving me. However, my kx is of high polish. Did you’re anthracite come on a strap? I believe those that came with NATO’s were brushed.

Yessir! It’s brushed and it did come on the nato (and I bought it for that reason, I prefer the brushed bezel). The jubilee bracelet on it came from Uncle Seiko.
@@joshswatches pretty sure you mad the right choice😂 the bezel is a scratch magnet as it’s one of my more frequently worn watches. And the bracelet is the standard Seiko “it works at least” bracelet😂😂

Yes! Worked like a charm. Had to use a pin to poke them through the ridiculously tiny drilled lug holes.

Probably not bad at all! The 40mm is a really wearable size for many people. I’d see if I could find someplace where you could buy it and return it if you don’t like it.

I think so! You really can’t go wrong with these 5s and I think a fabric strap would match this a lot better than leather. I’d also look into something like a Cordura nylon strap (Watch Gecko has a few nice ones).
If you were to put a black jubilee bracelet on it, which one would you recommend?
Hello! At the moment I’m not aware of any with fitted end links, but Strapcode is my go to brand for aftermarket Seiko bracelets!
@@joshswatches just checked out strapcode, they have a great selection. Found a couple black jubilees but none with the fitted end links.. hopefully that’ll change with time. Thanks for the response, great vid!

Hello! Apologies for the delayed response but I would send it back to Seiko or take it to a watch maker. You definitely have something wrong with the movement.
is the white border around the hands that noticeable?
So that’s actually not white, it’s just a more reflective finish, which is noticeable but just enough for you to be able to glance at the time. It doesn’t take away from the overall look of it by any means. In most light, it just looks black.

Hello! I have not but also haven’t been looking all that often. Would highly recommend checking strapcode, uncle Seiko, and Long Island watch as they tend to be the fastest to market with straps. :)
The Japanese model reference are SBSA not SRPE
The stealth one is SBSA059 (JDM version)
That is the JDM reference, yes, but there’s a logistical difference between Japan Domestic Market (JDM) models and Intl. models Made in Japan.
International models (SRPE) can also be made in Japan for export markets. This Made in Japan example was made for export, was sold thru an official US channel, and the difference is that because it came thru that channel, it comes with the intl/US warranty instead of the JDM Japan-only guarantee.

Does it glow incthe dark?
It does not, everything is all blacked out.
How is the lume?
Nowhere near as good as typical Seiko because it’s all blacked out. It’s usable in a pinch but wouldn’t recommend if good lume is a must have.
Isn't the watch slighty too small? I don't like big watches but 40mm i don't know...kinda women watch size. Does it look bigger on the wrist?
I suppose it depends on your wrists - if you have large wrists and can handle 42-45+ watches then yes this may be too small. For me personally, 39-41 is the sweet spot. My newest Omega is 39.5 and I love it. I have an older one that’s 41 and that tends to be as big as I can go. The typical “women’s” size (in manufacturers catalogues) tends to be between 28 and 36, the classic Rolex Lady Datejust models, for example.
What?? 40mm a woman's watch? 36mm is the classic men's size, 34mm is amazing on watches like the Rolex OP. 40 is the perfect sweet spot for most men.
Huge watches are ridiculous.
