Lilac Love was my first Amouage I bought (blind buy) and it will always be my very favorite. Love it SO much.

Great review. I have an Amouage Love sample box and my full bottle purchase was Love Tuberose but this might be my second! A more delicate floral gourmand but it intrigues me.

Lilac love was my very first Amouage and I still love it so much. I like that powderyness with the Chocolate, its very addictive

This perfume was one of my loves at first sniff, it’s long lasting and has great sillage.

I really enjoy the scent of lilac love but I wouldn't have paid full price. If you keep an eye on the gray market, you can sometimes find a bottle for over $100 less than the full Amouage price. And although I know lilacs are supposed to be " mature" I happen to absolutely love the scent.

i've been tiptoeing around this for AGES. The purple notes along with the cocoa powder are plain enchanting and such an unusual combination! I know eventually I will get it, but i'll hold out a little longer as i just splurged on a - good deal but still expensive - Merchant of Venice frag (Rococo)

Hi -- what do you think of Rococo?!
I'm looking into a full bottle of Lilac Love because I love the cacao with heavy florals concept, and my 15ml sample has been incredible. But I love MofV and I know Rococo has cocoa in it. I have three other bottles from that Murano collection: Arabesque, Liberty, and Venegia 21. I've always wondered about Rococo!

I also agree the opening is a bit better than the dry down, still both beautiful 💜

I bought a 10 ml two years ago or so, I hated it, I think it reminded me something unpleasant, a painful olfactory memory. The only thing I could smell was a strong dirty patchouli/ incense stick/ old hippy pseudo spiritual thing going on... Then, I persisted in trying it, and slowly I detached myself from this feeling and perceived the chocolate and floral notes better. It is still a challenging scent for me but now I tolerate it, even wear it sometimes at night...

Go for en passant or lilac a day if you want lilacs.. Lilac Love was disappointing to say the least if its lilacs that you’re after..

I’m curious about it but I haven’t gotten around to testing amouage. I thinking all of them material seems the most interesting.
I like the lilac bush in real life - I grew up with one right outside my bedroom window. One of my favorite flowers. But I suspect I would be allergic to this perfume.

Material is really nice. The only thing that keeps it from being totally idea for me is this slight leather like note in the dry down. Comes off slightly bitter. Might be one of the woods or the osmanthus-a note I've struggled with. But not enough to keep me from wearing it. A beautiful rich incensy and woody vanilla.

Thank you for this review as I’ve been searching for a lilac scent. Have to say I’m not a fan of cocoa powder scent, it just doesn’t jive with me though I love to eat chocolate. Frederic Malle’s En Passant smells like baby powder and pee on my skin and disappears after 20 minutes. I’m hoping to try A Lilac Day by Wilhelm Perfumery(?). Have you already done a review of that?

@@es.3020 thank you! I have heard of Lilac Path but have yet to try it. It’s on my list to check out for sure. In the meantime I purchased Pacifica’s French Lilac ($22 CAD) and it’s a lovely spring lilac perfume to satisfy that spring fever need for lilacs at the moment 😅
