On a fretless too!! Insane playing and tone!! I miss when death metal bassists played fretlesses. Subbing for more fretless death metal bass!
What bass is that? Amazing tone! I usually don't hear fretless basses with such brilliant highs and growling lows.
Thats a bass crafted by Anthony Syme and I guess Bartolini pickups is a huge influence to it’s sound!
@@aalbassplayer Okay! What Bartolini model is it? I've only played the Classic soapbar, aside from the of the Asian "Bartolini" MK1 that is in Ibanez and Cort basses (which I personally don't count as real Bartolini pickups).
@@nj1255 was described as 72M45C when I bought that bass, which is Original Soapbar as google says:) also bartolini preamp installed which i am struggling to name the model of

Darkglass B3K, EBS Multicomp, steel strings and some fingerwork haha
@@aalbassplayer I have never used steel strings on my fretless but they sound so good! I have done similar things with the neural DSP stuff but I think I'll experiment with the strings too! Thanks man and keep up the good work!

@@caseypaul9418 i would say as much as the other roundwounds.. got my fretboard polished first time about a year ago, after ~9 yrs of owing. I guess I’ll be good for another few years. And i have thick fretboard anyway haha

I struggle with muting strings big time. I tried to thumb wrap after I saw you, but that was my 4 string, I’ll get the 5 out today and try it 🤘
