@@lostnemtions until your son has about 5-10 years clean, please be gentle with him. We recovering addicts have so much guilt and shame that even little remarks can send us running to our dealers. Normal stress of everyday life is almost too much! We don’t have the tools to process it. Remember that our emotional maturity stopped the day we started using regularly. And it will begin the day we get clean.
My drug use was always because I didn’t want to feel the pain that was happening to me. I was abused as a child, married abusive men( living what was normal for me), became a drug addict, then I lost my big brother in a car accident. I went off the deep end. I’d been clean for 3 years when he passed away. I was pregnant when he died. About 3-4 months later I was given some meth and that was that. I stayed on that crap for 12 more years. I’m almost 20 years clean. And have no desire whatsoever for it.
Hope this helps with your situation.

I used to be an addict using both meth and heroin. Fentanyl changed the game, and literally killed all my close friends in just a few short years. I am thankful to God for saving my life many times over, and now have 4 years clean. I am a firm believer that addiction is a spiritual issue that can only be overcome long term with true repentance. My heart goes out to all who are being destroyed by these demonic substances.

Started popping hydros when I was 10, Been an alcoholic since 12 years old. Started smoking cigarettes and weed at 13, started doing cocaine when I was 21. tried meth a few times, I've been sober from alcohol for 6 months. haven't tried any drugs besides weed for 6 years. What made me quit is kinda sad but my dad shot my mom in the head and then shot himself in the head. I was homeless at the time and my mom had all kind of surgery's on her brain and they saved her life, I still to this day think my dad saved my life by taking his own. the hardest addiction of all for me was the nicotine I'm 3 weeks sober from the nic and I have finally felt the relief my body so desperately needed. God gave me this strength 💪 💪 🙏 I never would of made it without him. Went into psychosis a few weeks ago and ended up somewhere where I shouldn't have been. I suffered 3rd degree burns to my feet and my right hand and almost died from heat stroke. I'm 13 days clean tomorrow and the pain I've had to deal with is excruciating. Don't need anyone to feel bad for me but like it says in AA, sometimes God has to do for us which we can't do for ourselves. This experience has literally given me PTSD and kicked my ass to the point that I never want to pick up and use ever again. Take my word for it, what seems like a bright idea is how sadistic this disease is. It's anything but.... Although the experience has been painful both emotionally and physically, I am grateful for it as well as it has humbled me into a state of submission. Stay safe y'all. People who are a live today still remember the famine and witnessed brothers eating their sister’s dead bodies just to avoid starvation. And they don’t have this problem. Because the government is very tough on the distribution of drugs. Dealers all get death penalty which is carried out months after sentencing. No being on death row for 10 years over there. I'll be 28 years clean this coming August and even I am dumbfounded By what seems to be government subsidized drug use. They are basically making it easy to remain an Addict. Without without hitting that rock bottom, there is no incentive to stop. Handing out free needles and crack pipes/methpipes Is the same as saying to these people " It's OK with us if you wanna be an addict and victimize taxpayers, your family, your childrand etc". Treating these people as if they are victims of a drug just encourages them to further victimize themselves in their addiction. As a former addict, I can say without any reservation that we are not victims of a drug. We choose to victimize ourselves by using those drugs.

@Charley Gnarly , you made me cry bud. I have been there and it's horrible. Demons tried to get me to kill my children and God spoke to me and stopped my thinking of that. Everything you mentioned except the cartel were everywhere and going to kill me. Called my mother and told her the bad people were going to kill me and I was on drugs, sang take me to church over the phone to my mother who's very Christian. My kids didn't even know I smoked pot and I threw my needles and drugs out in front of them saying drugs are the devil. That was pcp which I thought was ice but it was about a 2 week stretch of hell. About 3.5 years sober now and I am never going back to that. I am very proud of you. Please stay strong and talk to God. 🦋 I'm proud of you Heather! I'm 2 years free! I call it free because the 15yrs I spent in my darkness was a living hell. And I no longer live there. And I was not just addicted to the morphine and the meth and whatever else I could hit myself with,I was also addicted to the needle itself. The poke. People say it's not possible, that "its all in your head Jackie". It was not. I hated the "fishing" and the hunt I hated being out of all my friends one of the few who could hit anyone. So I guess that also made it worse for that needle love. But 2 years ago I was trying and having a hard time and I looked up at a picture of my mom who passed away with brain cancer and I just started crying to no end knowing that she would be so upset with me and my choice to mourn her in that way for so long I got up threw away all my works and made a Dr's appointment for suboxone and that decision was one of the best in my life. I finally got to mourn her the rite way and have got on with my life. I struggle EVERYDAY like we all do,but I still live with a addict. My husband is still in the dark. And I pray he turns on his light soon. I hope you have a wonderful day and a beautiful life. I'm 50 yes old been married to my soul mate 27yrs have 2 beautiful daughters 4 beautiful granddaughters and a new one on the way. He always wanted me to know where he lived, for safety reasons, but when Meth came, he stopped caring, then he was embarrassed because we had a pact, to never do anything more powerful than weed. I kept my promise, he called me from the Hospital, said he had walking pneumonia, I was shocked and told him I would come to the Hospital he was staying at when I got off work. Before I got off work, I got on Facebook, his cousin said he passed. I was devastated, I couldn't believe it, I had talked to him 2hrs before he passed. Now??? I think people still prefer crack but have switched to meth because it's a lot cheaper. And I'm not sure about the heroin. But people started using pills too...so...it's just a problem that grows and the only way to get these people clean would be to lock them up and give them light doses of pain meds untill the drug is out of their system. It would prob take around a year. Some are so far gone recovery would be impossible. It's very sad to see driving down the street. @@kroom7k536 I can't believe it was not either. If it was an accident they woul have tried to save him. Clearly it was done will ill intent. Things like this frustrate me!! I can get very worked up sometimes about things that I find unjust and wrong and over time I have found that if I look at life a certain way it hurts less. I'm not declaring this is the right way, it's just my way. Not trying to preach here but if you vibe with it maybe you can adopt it too. So in this case, I remind myself that life is eternal and death is just a rebirth into a place much better than this. I like to mix science and spirituality and am always reading up on scientific research, along with interesting but not hard evidence stuff like near death experiences and how it supports the fact we are eternal and what happens after death. (I won't go on and on with the evidence unless you really want to know some of that. If you do, I will be happy to share.). So I remind myself that the people who have done harm to another do not escape the consequences of their actions. Things will balance themselves out in this life or the next. Not sure if you know about the studies being done on past lives where thousands of random people have been put under hypnosis and directed into their past lives. This may seem crazy but historic records have been able to prove and validate details about the people that they said they were in their past life. This has been done for a long time and is not new. Something interesting though, one doctor wanted to know where we went between lives so he found a way to take subjects to the point of death. None of the subjects knew one another and they all had very similar stories. They are greeted in a tunnel of light by loved ones or a being the person recognized but didn't remember from their lifetime. They go into the light to a place that is pure love etc etc. THEN, all the people describe having to do something they call a Life review. This involves experiencing their life through through The eyes of everybody they have come in contact with during the lifetime. This means a person has too experience the full effect of their actions on other people in that lifetime. They state that all the beings that surround them are only filled with love and not judgment. It is in doing the Life review that the subject is forced to judge themselves. Evidently it can be a very traumatizing experience for many souls and a lot of the people have to go to a healing place before they can come back to earth. Imagine being Hitler and having a Life review. This doctor wrote a book and I read it and I will figure out what it is called an edit this post with the information. But as I read that book that rang true in my gut personally, as I have always felt God was loving. What a perfect way to fully understand the impact throughout ones life. That is stuck with me over the years and giving me some solace when confronting what seems to be unfair and unjust circumstances. I know this is more than you probably expected but I felt the need to say it all. Take what feels right, if any, and leave the rest. Best wishes to you and yours. 💜

The other “ok looking” people were in other rooms all had windows and you could see through some of them. It was scary and I think we thought we might die.
Then they would wheel out another zombie body.
After more zombie bodies went by dead, looking like the homeless.
I get that their health isn’t as good but it did feel targeting a few hours went by and they released me citing I had an allergic reaction to a new supplement I started.
Finally sleeping after that was like 😢
