    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Extra Information !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1:13 The map of Austria in this video is a bit wrong. They, up until the end of the Austro-Prussian war in 1866, controlled Venice along with Eastern Lombardy.
1:31 The Prince didn't want his people to fight against fellow Germans as well.
1:37 The Liechtenstein government used the argument that the prince couldn't force the military on a campaign without the permission of the German Federal Convention but considering the Austro-Prussian war was in a way a federal civil war the federal power wasn't very existent during this time.
2:21 Of course Austria didn't desperately need the small Liechtenstein army to help them. Liechtenstein 80 men army would not make any difference on any battlefield. Liechtenstein helping Austria was more of a symbolic move to show Liechtenstein commitment to Austria and Austria pressured so hard for it because they wanted to see if Liechtenstein could actually be considered as a true ally.
2:28 "While Johann II made his contingent available to Austria, but expressly to defend the Tyrolean border against the Italian free troops, he did not use it against Prussia or against Prussia directly."
Geiger P., ‘ Geschichte des Fürstentums Liechtenstein von 1848 -1866’, JAHRBUCH DES HISTORISCHEN VEREINS FÜR DAS FÜRSTENTUM LIECHTENSTEIN SIEBZIGSTER BAND VADUZ, Vaduz, Self Published by Historischen Vereins, 1970, pp. 5-419.
2:39 The war actually officially ended in October as that's when the Peace of Vienna was signed but the fighting ended in September and that's when the Liechtenstein army returned home.
2:55 This is not to say Prussia didn't voice their opposition of Liechtenstein's support of Austria in the war but over all they never did anything about it, mostly just ignoring it during the course of the war.
3:17 Also sorry forgot to put the page number in, it is 72.
3:25 Ok so the sources don't seem to be clear on this one. One source says there where 82 men while another says 80 plus one officer. But two soldiers definitely stayed behind, so either 79 men went to Tyrol or 80.
4:48 Misspelled Liechtenstein, forgot the e.

Because people are unaware, the song is called "Son ar chistr" it is a Breton melody that was used in 'Was wollen wir trinken' and many other songs, the melody isn't just 'Was wollen wir trinken'.
To all you genius armchair historians that think they figured it out by saying the officer of the Kaiserjäger could have been an Austrian-Italian let me explain a couple of things.
    B. We know the officer spoke German as he communicated with the soldiers and the secretaries, however we have no idea if he knew Italian or not.
    C. The Kaiserjäger was dominated by German speakers.
    D. Thanks in part to "@iamverycreative" on twitter we have some extra information about the Austrian lieutenant that came home with the soldiers.
The lieutenant's name was stated in two different sources as k.k. (kaiserlich-königlich) Lieutenant Radinger (A German name not an Italian one) . Also it's said that he was assigned to the Liechtenstein army because they were trained in German military signals not Austrian ones and therefore needed someone to interpret the Austrian signals during the war. Also it stated that the lieutenant "hatte der Truppe das Ehrengeleite bis in die Heimat zu geben" (had to give the troops an honorary escort back home).

As a historian I prefer and enjoy doing more historical work, with research and factual analysis. Taking other works or just popular facts and pointing out what's wrong isn't fun, it doesn't require much academic rigor and quite frankly anyone willing to put the time in to making a video can do it.
Hence why so many channels just do "pointing out inaccuracies" videos. Almost every "professional of X reacts to X" video is just that. It doesn't require much work and no original thought. You're literary just pointing out mistakes.
But people seem to like it for some reason, I personally don't hence it's boring for me.

Very nice video, so much details on something one could consider a "minor thing." Speaking of Austro-Prussian war, would you mind making a video one day about the "Dreyse rifle" supperiority in the war myth? Many today believe that the rifle was the major reason why Prussia was victourious in the war, though when you check some more detailed sources you will find out that it's a strong oversimplification and pretty much a myth. However, since the war does not get many attention in schools (since in the wars of German unification it was in the middle and did not directly cause the German unification and so from teacher's perspective it might be considered less important, though I would disagree with that) and so even here the "needle gun supperiority" myth is thought as a simplification of the overall subject.
