    Between 1979-81 I used to work on AVC20, the last of the works TT Sprites. Glorious 6cylinder on open pipes! Great memories!

    I have always thought that the pre-war racing Rileys were both beautiful and functional.
    Successful and important - why do we not see enough of them currently?

    It would be interesting to se the exhaust header as there were several versions used on these long stroke engines over the years. However, as a Riley enthusiast, it was a delightful sound!

    Nice, but nothing will ever beat the sound of a straight six in my opinion

      It's a so called "Special"but often not described as such !And Germany today is the homeland of these cars, built from the relicts of many old british defunct makes and their saloons,which have fallen beyond repair and sold for a big amount of money by clever belgian and netherlands dealer near the border !

      @@knut-hinrichqwalter2463 yes, it's not a brooklands or even a copy of one, wrong chassis for starters, more of a tt sprite. But still, a lovely car and indeed a great sound!

      I understand that the sound of a car today is the most importand feature!

    Here's mine. It's a 1929 Riley Brooklands. The commentators made some mistakes regarding Rileys but you get a sense of what a fabulous car a Riley Brooklands is czcams.com/video/wkq6DpUO5xI/video.html

    Sadly that car is NOTHING like a genuine Riley Brooklands. It is just another rather corny 'special;
