    • @Simon-xc5oy
      @Simon-xc5oy Před měsícem

      I do get tired of telling people this. You elect the party not the leader. Its up to them. They pick who is in charge. And can change them at any time they wish. The trouble is the Tories are full of different factions and back stabbers and have a history of turning on their leaders. Look at Blair and Brown. Gordon slimed and briefed his way into the top job, as he knew no one would vote for the Party with him in charge. And when it came to an election they were out. Its going to be the same with Sunak. You are not wrong in the fact that no one voted for the Tories with Sunak in charge, as they would never have won last time if he was. Its all very sneaky and underhand and you are correct on that. Watch when Labour gets in, I am betting Angela Raynor ends up as the Prime Minister before their first term is over......

    • @richardruff8712
      @richardruff8712 Před měsícem

      @@Simon-xc5oy Yes, agreed... I get fed up with people making that comment too... Another thing that we have ' discovered ' is this habit of the MP to join another party, mid-term... I think we are all realising that, on the Ballot paper, we are being asked to put our ' X ' in a certain box... It means that we are voting for a specific PERSON... and not the party... Can be a bit confusing to many of the electorate, but that is probably why we are not educated in these things... Ignorance is bliss to the political parties !

And the deserters know they have no chance of re election with Sunak in charge or anyone else. So they are bailing. People like Gove etc are no great loss. They will be lucky to find people willing to stand from within the party. Which shows they are all in it for what they can get and not to improve life for the voting public by doing their jobs. I think Sunak has just given up, called it and he knows they are toast, sooner rather than later. He and his wife will be off out of it as soon as the dust is settled.
