Translation starting to get interesting from 4:51, words getting changed to opposites and it is very unclear why would u change the translation, or the translator is doing it on purpose. So, starting from 4:50, the boy says his name is "Kirill"
(not Kyrylo - Kirill is russian origin name but it is changed to Ukranian one, why if his mother speaks Russian and she is from Donetsk region, obviously a small change but making a kid more Ukranian?)
4:54 the boy asked if hi likes to climb. boy answers: "we ate, we went somewhere, we came here"
5:09 the boy asked what he wanted to be when he grow up. boy says "later a policeman" ( not a single word about a doctor)
5:29 Olga says they packed their belonging last evening (not two evenings ago, not a word she drove straight across Ukraine)
5:46 Olga says it's uncertain how things will play out and if there be a place to go back and if there be a difficult situation for her to get back (while translation states "like whether or not our home will destroyed") (so the translator already know for her that her home will be destroed) (interesting since Donetsk was under the constant war with Ukraine for last 8 years)
6:08 How do u explain what is going on for your son? Olga says when it was happening far away from us and it was a comendant hour and so on my son saw a soldiers and a miltary equipment in town and he asked questions why they are here and I did not know for certain and was not trying.
While subtitles: When it was happening far away from us {all I had to explain} was that Kindergarten was over but then he saw soldiers and military equipment and started asking questions about why they were there then he started hearing loud exposions and he understood----- (literally she had no word about Kindergarten), (literally nothing about LoUd ExPloSioNs), (literally u dont get the answer from her if the boy understood anything at all), (As well as no translation about comendant hour - a term (rule) when u asked to stay home so civilians stay safe due this time u couldn't be outside).

Maybe this is extreme, but we live in extreme times. I think the world needs to realise that we ALL have to uplift people like you out of our own pockets. We can no longer put faith in faceless mega corps who only have a rising year-over-year profit margin as their top priority. We need to start giving big massive fucks on a PERSONAL level. That city looks better than many American cities. See any tents, graffiti, litter or junkies writhing on the ground? We keep putting these blinders on and ignoring our own people. We dropped over 110 billion dollars worth of gear in the hands of terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, but that wasn't enough?
When do we fix America? How many wars do we fight? How many years and decades? This is why so many dozens of millions of Americans don't care. We can't even fix our own country, but we keep meddling in others.

It's been very interesting to see Andrew Callaghan's evolution from a parody of a broadcast journalist to being a 100% legitimate broadcast journalist. Among many young people there is a feeling of resentment or distrust toward mainstream news media. I hope some of those people watch this video and see how Andrew relies on the reporting of other mainstream outlets and change their opinions. There are many valid critiques of the news media, but there are also a lot of people doing outstanding work and it is absolutely essential
