I was one of the lucky kitsune that got to be there for the shows at Makuhari Messe where this was recorded on the 28th and 29th of January and it was absolutely mindblowing how good it was seeing them live. Queen Su has never looked more majestic. Metal Kingdom was the opener of the show, just as it is the opener of the album. It was immediately followed up by Divine Attack, which was great because the two songs very much feel like they belong together. At the concert, Momoko was acting as Avenger, and did not have a mic. However, at the end of the concert on the second night, they revealed that "a new metal will be born" at the upcoming shows in Yokohama on April 1st and 2nd, and it was strongly implied that a new permanent third member of Babymetal will be revealed. The popular theory is that Momoko will become Momokometal, as Yokohama is in Momoko's home prefecture of Kanagawa, and they like to do these big milestone moments in the members home towns (like Legend S in Hiroshima for Su, and Legend M in Nagoya for Moa).
Thanks for all that info, man! I'm seriously jealous that you got to experience that show. It must have been extraordinary. I can't wait till spring when I get to see them, even if it's briefly. I agree that it's probably going to be Momoko, but I'm not necessarily happy about it. I don't feel like she fits the group. That's just me though, and probably a hot take.
This video is based on the January 28/29, 2023 concert. The girls are currently composed of two members, but an announcement was made at the end of the second day that a new member would be announced on April 1. The concert started with this song. It was so exciting😁I sang along loudly. It was a lot of fun 😁.
Omg I'm so jealous! I can't wait till the sabayon concert and I get to see Babymetal again. This concert looks so goo though. It must have been a once in a lifetime experience.
Good reaction. This was the big theatrical opening number at their concerts last weekend and when you consider this was filmed so recently and they already got the video out it isn't so surprising they used the stiudio audio for it. We will have to wait for the DVD (or the WOWOW live stream at the end of this month) to get the live audio - for the moment this was all about the spectacle.

I was never on board with the avengers. I thought it was a dumb idea. I did like Riho, she's a fantastic performer and fit so well with Su and Moa, and I think they should just have tried to sign her right away and give her a mic. But considering what she's done after BM, it was probably in her best interests that it didn't happen.
Love to see the epic live proshot version but unfortunately we'll have to wait next month for live sound, but at least this way the song will get the spot it deserves. Most likely Momoko will get her "metal" and she paid her dues to become an official member, we love her and wish her everything she wants.🍑❤️ I don't think is necessary any more Yui's tribute, is time to move on with this new BM, they're reinventing themselves bringing us new ideas with a new BM mirror unit and probably they're doing this to give us back some of those older kawaii metal songs we used to have so much fun and we still love to hear during live concerts.
