Her voice is absolutely nuts, and it continues to improve. I'm guessing, 10 years ago, that Babymetal's producers had no idea Suzuka would turn out to be arguably the best female vocalist working in rock.
I'd take that bet. Their producer (singular) had a clear clue when he heard Suzuka at the Karen Girl's final concert in 2009. Kobametal has said he thought that her voice would be underutilized in J-pop and that was the beginning of the idea for Babymetal. Not a clueless guy, he is instead, crazy like a fox.
I have been a metalhead/musician for 40 years...I have never experienced anything like this masterpiece of a song. Just absolutely beautiful and breathtaking...this girls projection,power and enunciation are like a katana slicing through the orchestration of this amazing band...
Japan is full of fantastic singers, she is probably one if not the best frontman however, but take for example Yousei Teikoku, or Keiko from kalafina, Ayumi Hamasaki, Lisa, Ena Fujita
Kanako Itou and they are all well known and established artists, I like Babymetal and Su I really do, and that's why I think she deserves a special place, big leagues have a lot of really amazing singers and she is one of them.
Seeing Takayoshi using Mikio signature ESP guitar was so heartbreaking. R.I.P Mikio-san

This song really showcases Su's singing talent. Such a strong vocalist.
She has evolved into a BEAST...what projection and breathing. Truly incredible...
It also showcases her lipsynching abilities. Not a real live vocal track to be found.

dark sideの衣装のQueenの姿がもう神々しく見えて、素敵すぎるうえに、表情や仕草がもうアイドルではなく高レベルを維持するトップアーチストですらある。最初に聴いた時はXの紅のパクリなんて思ったけど，詩も紅よりも良いし，感情のこもったSU-METALの伸びやかな声質は秀逸無二になり世界に引き込まれる

I love how BabyMetal structures their songs to build explode and sail Su into the universe. It's dramatic and the costumes and sets make it a anime battle song. BabyMetal is a show not a concert. I have to see them in full stage in Japan. The Ultimate!
Suzuka Nakamoto is one of the best vocalist I have ever heard, her voice is absolutely amazing. The Dark Night Carnival akatsuki live rendition is my favorite to date.

Her voice at the ending of this song, starting at 5:00, is what cements Su as perfect for metal. Her voice is so powerful, impactful! Koga was brilliant when he spotted the dormant talent in her and created Babymetal. May this group have success forever!
I just want to comment on how awesome those Dark Night Carnival costumes were. The only drawback is that Su looks bald when the light hits her head the wrong way. Lol
いつ聴いても迫力を感じ、自然に鳥肌が立ってしまう曲です。
スーちゃんのメイクと髪型の迫力がすごい
ドラムもギターも派手な演奏だー。
バンドの重低音の中でも美しく響く声に感動した。
日本の神バンドのタイトで「Wet=情感」のあるサウンドがまた聴きたい。SU-METALに最もふさわしい音なんだ。
BABYMETALの存在を初めて知った曲(X JAPANとのコラボ風に編集した動画で知った)でもあり 現在でも最高の曲だと感じてる👍

ちなみにDistortionとElevatorGirlはDNCの5～7人編成のが無茶苦茶格好いい。

At first you don't understand...Then you listen it for a second time, for a third time and some sensation births inside of you.
I don't know if there is anyone else that noticed that thing i'm going to mention now.
The whole point, reason, soul of the song is only meant for one perfect moment.... :)
The music, the lyrics, the choreography, Suzuka's voice builds up...builds up.....then explodes at the very end, only for some mere seconds= Akaku somare! Makka ni somare!
Everything was for that two sentences. There is someone sufffering and trying to fight back with the pain love brings and when the time comes she dares, akaku somare! makka ni somere!
When i fully realized this i was blown away, i was sure this was the best song i ever listened. I'm someone who had been through some spiritual journey, i'm familiar with the concept of twin flames. And from that spiritual perspective this is a twin flame song. It hits you like a freight train, the amount of passion and love Suzuka being able to channel through this song. She is very empathetic, and her naivety and innocence lets her sing the song in such a passionate and pure, beautiful way.
Nothing in this world can define the word " love " better than the word " innocence. " Love and innocence is the same thing. You can not be in an unclean state of mind and being and also truly loving anyone.
Twin flames are pure innocent child like souls who suffer many nights to be able to find each other in this world.
So if there were anyone wondering what this song is about here i told you. :) This is not just some love song, no. This is twin flames love song. This is why Suzuka truly has the traits of a queen, if they truly exist, she is one of them, Suzuka, one of them twin flames. She deserves such an innocent and pure love, nothing less.
