      @@Falax1994 Yo what haha which national anthem? The German national anthem is far from creepy. It is about unity and justice and freedom only nice things. By the way, western military songs (Bundeswehr songs) are not as creepy as this weird communist stuff.

      @@Unknown-gu9nf i mean the first part of the german national anthem with "deutschland deutschland über alles" (even if its about unity) sounds pretty creepy. but also it was military songs of that time. Communist music is often seen as creepy or dark because that were the conditions in what the humans in that time lived in. Like todays america where Capitalism is pushed to the extreme and people suffer because of it. The same suffering can happen with extreme socialism

    When I was growing up, I had a resentment for Germany. This was due to family issues, with my grandparents being quite patriotic for Germany (I'm Canadian, single parent was adopted into a German family), and my reactionary opposition. As I've grown up and come to the inevitable red truth, and hear of Germanys long history with communism, being a socialist hotbed from the start, and the wonderful achievements with the realization of socialism in the DDR, I can't help but lose this unfounded hatred. The wrong Germany won out, and it will rise again! Best of luck to our comrades in Deutschland, may the German working class have its final liberation!

      @@BartlomiejDmowski Then which one should be better than the GDR, tell me please? The German Democratic Republic has been the greatest achievement of the German workers' class! Although already democratized in 1990, it became destroyed and annected by the Federal Republic of Germany. Which periods of time did we have before the Second World War? The Third Empire and the Kaiser's Empire. The university of Münster in Westphalia kept the Kaiser's name for a long time, but it is discussed again and again to eliminate it and I think the name already disaappeared.

      @@BartlomiejDmowski I mean, Communism and Socialism aren't really that bad. My home country, India, prospered when we had a Socialist regime aligned with the USSR. From the total overhaul of the education system, to the Green and White revolutions in agriculture, Socialism has been greatly advantageous to us. When we went to war with Pakistan to liberate our brothers in Bangladesh, the entire capitalist, developed West stood against our show of humanity. It was thanks to the Soviet Union that our independence was preserved. My parents and grandparents have lived through it, and to them, it was a "golden age" compared to today. Sure, business wasn't all that widespread but business prosperity and wealth creation was the least of our concerns, compared to issues like looming famine, food insecurity, illiteracy: social and educational and an overall threat to national sovereignty.
      Today, there is 1 Indian state that has held onto Communism after the nation-wide Liberalization, and coincidentally, that is the state that is ahead of all others in terms of Social Progress, Religious tolerance, Healthcare, Sanitation, Education etc. You may look up the Kerala model to learn more.

    • @BartlomiejDmowski
      @BartlomiejDmowski Před rokem +2

      @@grassystars You are from India and you had a democratic socialism, which is a good system. I'm from Poland and we had communism. And it was a terrible period. High prices, a lot of work for low wages, low quality of everything, censorship, suppression of patriots and the Catholic Church and many more. Sure, we accomplished something, but I'm totally sure that any other government would have accomplished the same and even more.
      You were never "alligned with USSR", from what I know. India was a member of Non-Aligned Movement and never joined either Capitalist Bloc or Communist Bloc. I think it was Indira Gandhi who said something that the best for India was to cooperate with both. But trust me, cooperation with USSR as an independent nation and being its puppet like Poland or East Germany are two completely different situations. Before WW2, Czechoslovakia also had good relations with USSR and it was beneficial for both. Kuomintang also cooperated with Stalin and that was fine. I know that India loves USSR and that's completely fine. Everything depends on the perspective. But well, you never felt real communism so don't defend it.
      Eastern Europe which went through communism is not in the best condition now. We are still behind Western Europe. Finland which avoided communism is very rich and developed - we have a proof that it's communism which put all us behind. And when these regimes fell and capitalism came in, we saw great development. Now it's far better than in the past.
      I think that left-wing or even communist parties don't have to be bad. Good examples are Cuba or Angola, maybe also Vietnam - all of them are patriotic, not radical revolutionary and actually accomplished a lot - and are not that repressive. India, as it seems experienced good left-wing politicians. But it's not only India - we have Sweden or Great Britain as countries which experienced democratic socialism
      To conclude - democratic socialism is very good and communism rather bad. Please distinguish them. And remember that these movements are different everywhere

    This CZcams tape has the post-Stalin version of the song:
    -original "So aus Leninschem Geist, und von Stalin geschweisst..."
    -revised here ". . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ,waechst im Kampf geschweisst.."
    This is perhaps the most cringe-worthy East German artistic creation. I suspect that contemporary groups might sing this now to mock a party or person they dislike.

      _Denn aus Lenin'schem Geist wächst von Stalin geschweißt die Partei._
      That's the lyrics! There is no "und" because Lenin and Stalin made their efforts by the combination of both. But you are right this is not the original lyrics that respect Lenin and also Stalin the Great Comrades of USSR (UdSSR, the d in the German abbreviation stands for "der" which means "of the" - following the same logic, the English abbreviation would be UotSSR)

    • @Dutch_Uncle

      @@SELBLINK_in_your_area - The musical praise for Stalin disqualifies this song for public appearance, except as parody. I assumed the "und" for reasons of grammar.

    • @SELBLINK_in_your_area
      @SELBLINK_in_your_area Před rokem +1

      @@Dutch_Uncle No, the "und" is not necessary because of reasons of grammar! I'm German and German is my mother tongue. I don't see why one should make a parody out of Great Comrade Josef Stalin and his wonderful achievements in East Germany, the Soviet Union and North Korea! It's because of him that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea became the wonderful state it is today. He, Stalin, set the fundaments for the Kim ideology that made North Korea so great and beautiful! The State of North Korea and its people only still suffer from the politics of the United States of America that refuse peace for the DPRK. If we want to calm down conflicts and agression that lead to war in the world we need:
      - stop of all sanctions the US made against Kuba, Venezuela and North Korea
      - peace contracts the US offers to Russia, People's Republic of China and DPRK
      - no more military interventions of the United States of America
      - evacuation of all atom bombs of the U.S. that still are in Germany
      I think that there is nothing wrong in praising Stalin and his great achievements! It is important to overcome capitalism and realize socialism in order to finally reach the great communism that sets all people free of exploitation, free of racism and nationalism and leads to social justice by equality of the people. Socialism eliminates division of the different social classes, builds up finest education and sets to reality an economic system that does not know maximizing of profit (capital) as its highest priority! As the name says already, socialism is the social system.
      For more than 40 years, a part of Germany (my home country) realized a system against the cruel capitalism that worked very well! The process of production is a public process, so it has to be in public property. (last sentence: German Communist Party, translated by myself)
      In the German Democratic Republic ruled by the Socialist Unity Party of Germany the state granted work, education and a big part of culture for every citizen!
      Germany must overcome its capitalistic system and since we already have a common German state, the time has come to make all of it socialistic.
      Long live Socialism! Long live Communism!
      Our politic's idol in Germany can and should be the ruling party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Workers' Party of Korea. All might to the workers' class!
      The Germans could already build up a socialist system that granted employment for everyone who was a GDR citizen. The GDR was the greatest achievement of the German workers' class and its existence was supported by Lenin and Stalin! The achievement became destroyed in 1989 and 1990, the time of the beginning of the German contra-revolution that is current until today and longer. German media and German schools make propaganda and call that contra-revolution the "peaceful revolution" or even "reunification"! Both is not right in my opinion, it's Western propaganda to make capitalism's face shine and glitter.
      Germany has one of the biggest low-wages economies in Europe! Furthermore, it is a developing country concerning internet availability. Even Romania and Brazil have better available internet than Germany, that's a shame!
      I do not want to downgrade the achievements of Leo Trotzki, but nevertheless we must also take in concern what Stalin founded to make the successes of East Germany and North Korea possible!
      He set up an antifacist system, so that times like the worst ones Germany had in World War 2 will never come again! It should never happen again to make someone like Hitler a mighty politician. Hitler was not even German, he had no blond hair and no blue eyes! He could not fulfil the Arian standards set up by himself and his party, that's ridiculous. The National Socialist German Workers' Party must be history forever! Make peace, not war.
      Long live Germany!
      American go home, split your atom for peace (and take with you all of your atom bombs, bring them out of our Germany, since WW2 is over and U.S. is not an allied force of Germany anymore), say good-bye to the Father Rhine and don't touch his daughter! Loreley, as long as you are singing Germany will be.
