Thank you for your listening to RM. The whole album is amazing and it has been listed as the best albums of 2024 by Rolling Stones, Billboard, NME, AP, etc. Other songs that are really good on this album are: Domodachi, Around the World in a Day, Come Back to Me and Nuts.
BTS and the solo work from its members is for all public, ageless. They look young, but are not that young, in their late 20’s and a couple are on their 30s. You can listen to music of each member now that they are in pause of group activities due to military service.

This was such a great reaction, and I’m glad I stumbled on it! I’d love to see you do “Nuts” vs. “Around the world in a day” from the same album; those are my two favorites, but the whole album is truly wonderful. His previous album “Indigo” is also fantastic. If you like old school hip hop, his bandmate J-Hope’s album “Jack in the box” is great too! All seven members are super talented and truly love music so they make music for music lovers. If you’re into jazz, the BTS member V has an album called “Layover” that is soulful and jazzy.

I don't know if I can choose a favourite between these two honestly! But I do second what other people said, I'd love to see a reaction to the whole album, it's such a treat as a full piece of work.
    A little extra note:
If you decide to get deeper into BTS do be aware that their music doesn't all sound like this. They work in a very wide range of styles, from sparkly pop to aggressive hip hop, funky oldschool sounds, club bangers, soulful R&B and moody alternative. They have a handful of extremely popular singles in English which lean very far into the sparkly pop end of the spectrum (those are also some of the few songs they weren't involved in writing) and unfortunately (in my opinion) those are often the first/only songs people hear from them, but that actually makes up a pretty small proportion of their sound. What I'm saying is BTS have a deep and varied discography, so don't judge them by the first few songs you hear. Also if you want to read lyrics I recommend the blog 'DoolSetBangtan' which has decent quality translations for most of their songs.

In my wildest dreams, I would love to see you do this for each member with two songs each. Two songs that are vastly different from each other. This would let ARMY see what your musical tastes are and showcase how different each member is too.
Suga (Agust D) Haegum vs Amygdala
    J-hope Neuron vs More
Jungkook Standing Next to You vs Hate You
    V Slow Dancing vs Fri(end)s
These two will have new music coming out soon so my suggestion might change
Jimin Smeraldo Garden Marching Band vs Set me Free pt 2 vs Like Crazy
Jin Astronaut vs Abyss vs Super Tuna
    And RM deeper cuts
    Wild Flower vs Still Life
    Moonchild vs Do You
Omg there are so many songs and they are so varied. I could write a book of requests and that's just the solo stuff. Just please listen to more BTS if you found this interesting. Thank you.

as everyone else said bts music is so diverse and theyre known as a pop group, boyband, or kpop group but all of these titles are very misleading the only thing they have in common with pop groups and boybands is theyre all men in a group thats where the comparisons end and the only things they have in common with kpop groups is they sing or rap in korean with some English words added in, they practice a lot and trained before debut, and they have rappers singers and dancers, thats really it.
what they don't have in common is much larger starting with they wrote or co wrote 95% of their discography both group and each members solo music. they produce and compose a large amount of their music as well. they do many genres even fusion genres. they have majority ADULT fanbase not teenagers. they are clearly not always clean or pg. they have pg songs but they have no limits on their art. so you will have the most poppy Disney like song like permission to dance then youll have the most heavy hip hop song with lots of cursing like Cypher part 2 and 3.
when fans say theyre for all ages they mean they have a song for every demographic not that all songs are for all ages cause many korean kids cannot listen to a lot of bts songs and many songs get banned from tv and radio in korea. you could argue kids who don't understand korean can listen to all the songs without English curses but if their family wants to learn korean at some point it would not go over well to learn the korean curses😂.
they all have the ability to sing, rap and dance but some enjoy or are better as one or the other some are great in all 3.
next they do not follow kpop rules majority of the time. firstly most articles talking about kpop list out things they cant do and generalized kpop groups and labels. painting a weird and wrong narrative.
so a lot you may have heard about kpop is probably based on old controversies in the early 2000s - early 2010s. the problem isn't that they reported on bad things that happen cause people should know to avoid supporting mistreatment of artists. but the problem is people say kpop groups or kpop labels or kpop idols as a overall applys to everyone the entire industry etc. when that is wrong.
example sm entertainment a large kpop label blacklisted a few of their artists from being on tv due to them suing the label and wanting out of their contracts this happened early 2000s. so the western media journalists would phrase is not as sm blacklisted these idols in 2000s they would frame it as kpop labels blacklist kpop idols when suing for unfair treatment. as someone who knows nothing of korea let alone koreas music one would think oh kpop is horrible no one should support it. which effects all the other groups and solo artists happy in their labels getting amazing treatment or even opening their own labels or being independent or even korean artists not under the kpop box like a korean rock band.
so a lot of whats reported in the media is taking horrible one off situations and exaggerating them and making it seem like it applies to all korean artists.
with all that out the way. western media says kpop idols cant curse you see first hand thats not true. next they say kpop idols cant get tattoos jungkook of bts has a entire sleeve and every member of bts has at least 1 tattoo. they say kpop idols cant drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes bts do those things as well. they say kpop idols cant date and labels ban them from dating. bts doesn't have a dating ban and has said they dated before and write music about personal relationships they choose to keep it private the label has no say in the matter. and so many other things that people in the west believe cause a random article says it. without researching themselves.
so they really are just a music groups theyre not a boyband theyre not kpop and they dont only do pop music. hopefully this helps and if you have any questions please feel free to ask :)
