The odd part is when this was first released in 1981, it barely made it into the charts at 79. Then after it was featured on an 80's sitcom called "Family Ties," the single was re-released and went to #1...

For me this will be forever associated with Alex and Ellen on Family Ties. Michael J. fox and his wife Tracy Pollan. There is a CZcams video where they play the song during scenes from the show.
The saddest part of the song is that Billy sold the rights of the song to NBC, thinking they had wrung everything out it. (They were still allowed to perform in concert) This song went to #1 after the band no longer owned the rights and made NBC a ton of money.
