I had a plan to deal with this issue but first stopped by youtube and hit on your video. Thank you soooooo much. You saved frustration and abbreviated the process. Silly connectors on cars are many and varied.
That is because the Silverado and the GMC headlights are absolutely identical in this age of trucks they both use the same light bulbs and the same sockets and they come in and out of the truck in the same way.
Great video. For years I didn't even care if they worked. I'll try this out.

Wow, So easy, I thought I would be splicing wires, Thanks, Like Red Green said "Sweet".
Correct, much easier and don't have to worry about making wire connections that may corrode!
and of course I find this a week after I cut the wires and soldered the new socket on

Not sure how people get their bulbs in and out so easy. I have to pull my out with pliers and put them back in with a little eyeglass screw driver.

Most epic video ever. Fixed my 2000 silverado driver side drl in 2 minutes (been burnt out for years)
Didn't buy a single part either! Just brushed the connections clean!
