    CAP in my opinion is the best of the lower level gym equipment. I have a CAP barbell (beast) and bumper plates(10s and 25 lbs). I highly recommend CAP to those uncertain if they will commit to working out at home.

      Not a bad idea to use a cheaper brand like Cap to make sure you’re committed to the home gym.

      Thanks!! I love watching other people’s home gyms too. It gave me a lot of inspiration when I was trying to figure out what to purchase and how to set it up. Appreciate it!

    No need to pay for over priced big name dumbbells. Your muscles doesn't know the name brand all they know is that they are being worked.

    I have the same dumbells. What I like about these is you can buy a pair of blue "Fat Grips" and put them on them...

      Yes! We don’t have a pair, but I’ve heard good things.

    My mom and I have been building up our home gym since last August. And our 10-40 lbs dumbbells all came from Walmart, one or two at at time over the span of four or five months, and we really like them. They've worked perfectly for us and look great in our home gym. However, we also noticed the knurling difference on our 35's, but for the price we paid plus it's so slight that we're not worried about it. Thanks for the great video.

      Sounds like my experience with these dumbbells too! Glad to hear from someone else who uses them. Thanks for watching!!

    I got mine from Walmart too! I am also considering adjustable ones like nuobell, now that my strength is growing. But I am on the fence - adjustable dumbbells look easy to be broken 😞. Not sure what to do yet.

      I like the nuobell too! Many people have had other brands of adjustables hold up really well, so hopefully the nuobell do too.

    Bought a $420 set for $300 since I bought in store! Don't buy weights online

    Nice review! I was grateful to find some dumbbells at my local Academy sports store by Cap and the adjustable ones as we'll. I have a combination of the rubber and Iron am taking whatever is available lol! I was looking into Rogue but man shipping is out of this world for dumbbells ha! I would also recommend the Dicks sporting goods web site I was able to order a 70 pound hex rubber made by weider little different from Cap but not so much.

      It’s crazy how much shipping is! Plus freight is taking forever right now too, so it makes sense to get them where you can to avoid high cost and long wait time.

    Hey this was a great review! Thank you, however did you receive the weights with grease or a rubber smell?

    • @rachaelsantoyofit
      @rachaelsantoyofit  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you! No grease or significant rubber smell. You can check in store just to make sure though.

      Put them in a gallon zip lock bag with baking soda for a week. You won't be able to fit the whole dumbell in the bag so you may have to do one end at a time unless you have enough bags. Thats what I did. It worked.

    I’m on the hunt for dumbbells that don’t have the rubbery smell 😩 the neoprene ones’ handles are way too thick for my small-ish hands
